Well, after the stunning review of Goodwill I put up on Yelp last month I've come back to put it back to where it was in the first place, when I reviewed the very first time on Google's review area. After almost a month of Chinese water torture trying to get an item from them, the service I thought I saw has melted into a black puddle and slid down the sidewalk into the gutter. It started like this, a month ago my full size mattress broke, the springs decided to go kaput, I humbly admit I am not a wealthy person, so I notice that this Goodwill has many mattresses and for a decent price, so I decide to go searching for one. Now, the very first day I was looking or one, I made it clear to a larger set female employee and a thinner male employee that I was looking for a full size mattress. They were very nice about it and said to keep checking back, but that was the only time it was ever nice, easy and clean again. A comedy of errors proceeded, whether it was from lack of service, cashiers or just plain bad luck I've missed over nine mattresses from Goodwill, most of them were due to the employees not telling me truthfully over the telephone whether they had one or not, due to laziness or what, I'm really not sure. The worst happened about a week ago, they had a very nice looking mattress, and I was excited because my patience was wearing thin, so I ran up the counter behind a couple who was shopping through the jewellery case. Now at a regular store Target, Walmart, etc... The employee would have checked me out or there would have been another cashier, instead she completely ignored me, while the couple for ten minutes picked out jewellery and I fidgeted in line. I even tried to audibly ask for help and point to the mattress. Finally, after those minutes had slowly passed another person finally appeared at the checkout counter with Usain Bolt speed I asked "Please, can I buy that mattress." and the other cashier turned and rudely looked me up and down and said "These people just bought it." Now, I'm pretty calm but I shouted "WHAT?!" at the top of my lungs and proceeded to storm out of the store. I mean, really? If you had attended me when you should have, the mattress I've been obviously coming into your store for the last month for would've been mine, I had the cash in hand, ready to pay. I'm pretty damned sure that these people notice me coming in and leaving every day. So, another mattress appears, and this one is on hold... FOR THREE DAYS. Now, their policy is, as I have been told to only hold something for one business day. Apparently this is only relevant some of the time. I politely ask if they could call me if they get a mattress... "No." and since they won't inform me when they honestly have one on the phone, what am I supposed to do? Look, I know it's Goodwill, right? It's not supposed to have five star service, but it's also not supposed to be Dante's Inferno, either.

During the 'purchase discussions,' I informed the…read moresalesman that I wasn't interested in the purchase unless my current sofa and love seat were removed and hauled off. This was not their current practice, but was approved by an on-sight manager (or asst mgr). The sales rep was told to make a note on the delivery invoice by the gentleman he spoke with. WELL...today, the delivery team, with Premier Couriers, showed up and told me that they could only move the furniture to the curb and would not remove it. Of course, my salesman was off - I was contacted by a manager and he (Alex) was going to contact the owner and call me back; (but the sales rep was also contacted & he called me- apparently I misunderstood what he said - but I had a witness who heard the same thing). LONG STORY SHORT - decided to have the sectional delivered & sofa/love seat moved to the curb. NEVER received a call back from Household Furniture, you need to and received no apology. WARNING: Words are words! If I asked the furniture to be hauled off, that doesn't mean move it to the curb. If notes are to be added, request a copy of those notes!! They weren't on my invoice... But, MAJOR KUDOS to Miguel and Ruben w/ Premier - they were WONDERFUL, polite, and VERY patient!!

TERRIBLE price on shelf to price on receipt correlation…read more I am NOT inept on the app. But those who say the prices are great if you shop the sales don't look at their receipts. If you watch your receipts in a detailed fashion you will find something wrong nearly every trip. To help you - WATCH details on sale prices closely. Nearly always there is a catch. 1) A limit on how many you may buy at that price. Sometimes per transaction. Sometimes per week. Sometimes per month. 2) Only certain flavors or styles get the sale price. If you never click the "eligible items" you may actually pay full price. (ie: MANY times I have purchased an item advertised on "for U deals" and paid FULL PRICE because only a few flavors were included in "eligible items." Certain varieties of soda are notorious for this in my experience. 3) READ the FINE PRINT (if you can). I will admit to being older. Thus my eyes are not great. If tiny print on the app or the shelf says "on two" you must buy two to get the price. I just bought coffee, that on the shelf was "7.99". On my receipt it was "14.99" because the fine print said you must buy two. 4) If the app is acting funny EXAMINE YOUR RECEIPT CAREFULLY! I recently went through my entire shopping trip, and had "clipped" all the sales on the app. But at the end my price sounded very high. Looking at the receipt, I had received nearly zero discounts. The reason I was given at customer service, was that my phone must not have connected with their system at check out. The difference was more than $20. The only indication I had in advance was that I had to sign back into my account with my phone number just before I entered the store. 5) It is IMPOSSIBLE to see if you got the correct price at the register because the discounts often come off at the end! This is my biggest complaint with the way their system works! Often I would catch the problems without having to deal with customer service, but I don't see them until I have paid! (To be honest, I wonder how often people do not want to deal with the line at customer service, and the hassle.) CONCLUSION: If you have never been in line at customer service at Albertsons, you are NOT getting good prices. You are not getting the prices advertised on the shelf. You are paying more than you think. Period. Still a nice clean place and usually friendly people. Just expensive.

I did something I have never done before in all my little life- but I just couldn't help myself!!! Mommy was putting groceries away, and I caught a whiff of the Signature Traditional Roasted Chicken. It weighed almost 2 lbs- but that did not deter me. It just smelled so good, I had to have some. When she wasn't looking, I made off with the bag and figured out how to open it and still keep the chicken inside- it needed to stay nice incase I wanted a snack later. Well- I got caught and am on time out, but it was well worth it- this chicken is delicious!!! Now watch, mommy's next review will be for obedience school at Pet Smart!!!!
