Clean, well organized store. TERRIBLE price on shelf to price on receipt correlation. I am NOT inept on the app. But those who say the prices are great if you shop the sales don't look at their receipts. If you watch your receipts in a detailed fashion you will find something wrong nearly every trip. To help you - WATCH details on sale prices closely. Nearly always there is a catch. 1) A limit on how many you may buy at that price. Sometimes per transaction. Sometimes per week. Sometimes per month. 2) Only certain flavors or styles get the sale price. If you never click the "eligible items" you may actually pay full price. (ie: MANY times I have purchased an item advertised on "for U deals" and paid FULL PRICE because only a few flavors were included in "eligible items." Certain varieties of soda are notorious for this in my experience. 3) READ the FINE PRINT (if you can). I will admit to being older. Thus my eyes are not great. If tiny print on the app or the shelf says "on two" you must buy two to get the price. I just bought coffee, that on the shelf was "7.99". On my receipt it was "14.99" because the fine print said you must buy two. 4) If the app is acting funny EXAMINE YOUR RECEIPT CAREFULLY! I recently went through my entire shopping trip, and had "clipped" all the sales on the app. But at the end my price sounded very high. Looking at the receipt, I had received nearly zero discounts. The reason I was given at customer service, was that my phone must not have connected with their system at check out. The difference was more than $20. The only indication I had in advance was that I had to sign back into my account with my phone number just before I entered the store. 5) It is IMPOSSIBLE to see if you got the correct price at the register because the discounts often come off at the end! This is my biggest complaint with the way their system works! Often I would catch the problems without having to deal with customer service, but I don't see them until I have paid! (To be honest, I wonder how often people do not want to deal with the line at customer service, and the hassle.) CONCLUSION: If you have never been in line at customer service at Albertsons, you are NOT getting good prices. You are not getting the prices advertised on the shelf. You are paying more than you think. Period. Still a nice clean place and usually friendly people. Just expensive. read more

Hi, my name is Luciano and I am an 8 year old, 9 lb., long hair chichua (I did not go to school so I can't spell). Today, I am "in the dog house". I did something I have never done before in all my little life- but I just couldn't help myself!!! Mommy was putting groceries away, and I caught a whiff of the Signature Traditional Roasted Chicken. It weighed almost 2 lbs- but that did not deter me. It just smelled so good, I had to have some. When she wasn't looking, I made off with the bag and figured out how to open it and still keep the chicken inside- it needed to stay nice incase I wanted a snack later. I love shopping at this store because quality is great. However I'm tired of not getting the discounted/digital prices when I get to the register. The APP does not work well because digital offers you have to scan for separately and then it doesn't apply. I never really bought into that whole "we can charge more because we have better customer service" crap, but this Albertson's...this Albertson's...wait...let me take a minute...this Albertson's is the Mecca of El Paso Albertson's. I wrote a review about the Starbucks in the same parking lot as this Albertson's (that also has a Starbucks inside) and asked if we really are that lazy. Yes. Yes, we are. Have I bought smoothies and coffees and cappuccinos and cake pops from the SB inside this Albertson's? The answer: Yes, every time. I haven't checked out the wi-fi situation yet, but there's tables and plenty of chairs so ya, I make a pit stop every time I enter. Why was this Albertson's so carefully crafted while the others were just thrown together in some resemblance of a store? I don't have the answer, but I like what I see when I come here. There resets are even done differently than the other ones. The flow actually makes sense. Size wise, it feels equivalent to the commissary. Most of the isles are pretty dang large and some even have yellow lines so you can follow the rules of the road and stay on the damn right! 'Cause if I'm on the right and you're pushing your cart the opposite way down the left, you better believe we're about to have a game of chicken. And I never lose. The bakery section is bigger. The produce section has the same items but in a bigger quantity. The butcher block has a bigger selection (pick out your new pet lobster. that you will eat.) and have yet to run out of bacon on me. Thanks for being able to order properly. The dairy, eggs and such are divided, but it makes sense. More eggs available too. Yeah, yeah it's more expensive (unless it's on sale), but this Stepford Wives Albertson's is the grocery shopping experience your robotic-housewife heart desires. Any trip to Albertsons is always a good one! Walmart recently stopped selling my favorite ranch so now I come to this Albertsons to buy it! On this day, everything went great! Found my ranch and picked up some flowers for my gf as a surprise! The location always has friendly staff, it's always clean, and they always have a great variety of items! I always tell myself I need to start shopping here more and this time, I'm definitely following through with that as it has been better shopping here than at Walmart as of late! read more

They have an excellent selection of deli meats and side dishes. What I really like is they have real turkey and ham that they cut for you as you wait. I am sure this is much healthier than the deli slices of the same meat. I highly recommend stopping here or another Albertsons. read more

They are currently doing this coupon scam that says $75 off groceries. Read the fine lines and avoid shopping there. Their fruit and vegetables are not fresh and are expensive. You are far better off shopping at sprouts or whole foods. read more

Today was the last day my shadow will be cast in this parking lot. I will never shop in this store again. 3 times in a row, bad experiences. To many bad experiences in 3 months of living here to count. 15 people in the express line to buy 2 items. I'm not waiting that long. 5 deep in the other 2 lines. This is not the first time this has happened, but it will be the last. Rotten moldy produce, milk that goes bad on its expiration date which is usually in less than a week, moldy cheese, nasty looking fish at the counter. And if you are picky about your meat, forget it, this place doesn't have it. I have complained multiple times how the selection is lacking. They don't have things that I'm looking for way too many times. I was trying to cook Moules Frites with French Onion Soup. They don't have muscles (even frozen) nor consume, only broth. So I had to go to another store; again. Oh and the price. Why am I paying as much or more than I was in Hawaii? Outrageous. I HATE Walmart, haven't shopped there in 12 years. But I do now. read more

As a single dad, I was always under the impression that Wal-Mart was the best value for your money. Until my girlfriend educated me...I love that Albertsons provides real information on their products. More than just the price! They give you the cost per once! By having this type of information you can make real decisions. Our grocery bill has dropped and we are finding ourselves with more food/products for a lesser price. Some weeks, when preparing the grocery list, we realize that we only need to pick up a few items because we have everything already! Also I find the store cleaner, shopping carts are in better condition, and at the location we go to, you can grab something good at the Starbucks Kiosk on the way in. On principle I do not shop at walmart. And we do not have HEB which makes me sad. A lot of people say this store is over priced, but it's not worth it for me to drive to the commissary to have a surcharge added on, and Sprout is twice as much as Albertsons with a third the selection. The customer service here is fantastic. I can always find someone to ask a question or get asistance. The produce and meat section has high quality products. They have added a lot of organic and grassfed meat options in the last few months. They always offer to take my groceries out for no extra charge (they cannot accept tips) which is nice if you have small kiddos with you. They also have a large beer selection and walk in beer fridge. I always browse the ad paper to see what's on sale ( buy one get 2 free bacon? Yes please!!) So just like any store you can find ways to maximize savings. read more

Pharmacy is the worst. Had a discount card and the pharmacist said she would not honor it because they can lose money. I showed her the mobile site that shows they accept the card and their online prices with said card. She simply stated" well yea, but since were losing money I don't want to do it" wow. read more

Stay away. Unless your rich. I don't get it. Some of the prices are so over the top when compared to my local grocer HEB, but the sale prices I guess are what people get excited for. Why not just offer reasonable prices all the time. read more

I love this Albertsons! Very clean layout and the check out clerks are friendly. I especially love the sushi section. Sushi is made fresh daily. The prices are very reasonable for sushi, too. The fruit at Albertsons is always fresh. At a well-known "super" store I used to shop at, the bananas were speckled and much too soft 90% of the time. But at Albertsons, each and every time I visit the bananas are perfect! How do they do it? And Albertsons carries a greater selection of organic, non-GMO products than the "super" store I used to shop at. read more
