I had some issues with athritis on my fingers and heard about copper supposedly but not proven scientifically, has healing properties that combat athritis. So I put in an order for a copper bracelet. The bracelet is beautiful but its one of those bracelets that you twist to open and close. Unfortunately, when I took it off to wash dishes i wasn't thinking to be careful. I opened it not twisting but did it in a way where it snapped in half. I guess I am not a jewelry guy. So right away I came back to Kim's Gift Shop to see what he can do. He was on the phone with somebody and right away he told the person he will call back because he wanted to take care of me, the customer. He then asked me if he can just swap it to another one just like it and he will have the jeweler fixed the one that broke. This kind of customer service you only heard from people who cares about their customers. I am so happy for my copper bracelet and YES it actually helped the athritis on my fingers which now I can play guitar without pain. I mean, what else can you say about a place that repairs jewelry, sells gold, diamonds, silver, chains, nameplates, and wigs.... Lots of wigs. Silver wigs, brown wigs, black wigs, red wigs, orange wigs, blonde wigs, blue wigs, and more. Some were curly some were long and straight. Oh...and they sell plenty of extensions too, Surprisingly, I did NOT visit Kim's to buy a wig. Instead, I was there to get my watch repaired. I needed 1) a battery and 2) to get some links removed from a watchband, because the watch I bought on-line during the pandemic was much too large for me. It's been sitting on my desk for years, never changing the length of the band, but only having the battery run down. With a few weddings coming up this summer I wanted a fancier watch to wear than the cheapie I've worn for a while. So that explains my visit to Kim's. The young lady I interacted with was a joy to talk to, she told me the jeweler was out for a few hours, but if I left the watch, he's get back to me with a quote. In a few hours, he did exactly that and I was happy with his reasonable $40 price. I returned the next day, met the jeweler, he measured my wrist and removed a few of the links like a surgeon. He had already replaced the battery, and I left the store a few minutes later with a much snazzier watch will most definitely be "wedding appropriate". So if you ever need a watch repaired, a gaudy nameplate to hang around your neck, or a powder blue wig..... check out Kim's. PRO TIP Kim's is located in the Bloomfield Mini Mall (Isaacs Bagels and Convenience store) at the far end of the plaza near the Naatiya Indian restaurant

There are so many beautiful and unique items in this store. They sell home decor items, dog items, toys and clothing for babies, women's clothing and jewelry, and seasonal items. There's a nice selection of West Hartford themed items, if you're visiting here, or if you'd like to get someone a gift from West Hartford, this is the place. I personally loved the variety of candles and each one is labeled with a specific West Hartford location. They way the store is decorated is so attention detailed and lovely. The employees are pleasant, always ready to answer questions and chat. They also offer gift wrapping on anything you purchase. I love stopping by this store. While the items are a bit more costly, they are supporting a wonderful cause, and they are not easy to come across in other places. I'd say treat your self or someone you know to a little gift from Good Cause Gifts, you'll be doing a good cause.

Either way, the shop is filled to the brim with trinkets--mostly costume jewelry. I found it a bit overwhelming at first, but kudos to Patti for keeping everything meticulously organized.
