This place really is a blue collar work wear establishment. Offering many different brands such as Carhartt, Woolrich, and Pendleton. However, before you say it's a man dominated kingdom; my lady friends are not left out. Plenty of good offering from dresses and blouses. Basically anything you could find at your average retail clothing store. My only gripe is that the prices are a bit jacked up to full retail price. When there's other competitive stores giving discount on some of the similar items. I feel they could match them, especially when Joseph's been in business for how ever long it has. Random note: they won best distributor for Levi's, this was in the 90s lol, they've been sealed in a nuclear bomb shelter ever since then however.

There is something nostalgic about being able to roam the aisles and touch a toy or flip through a book. The toys, games, puzzles and stuffed animals are thoughtfully hand picked and the result is a whimsical variety of entertaining toys. My most recent haul included a pop-up book, a Ravensburger puzzle, and Mad Matter funky putty/dough. The prices here are a bit higher than Amazon but with a coupon they are comparable and you can support a small, local business.

I have enjoyed getting gifts for my daughter and all of the little kids in my life. However, I came in yesterday looking for a Balance bike for my daughter for her second birthday. I found one, they only had one left, and I bought it. Unfortunately, when I got it home although the box said that the seat was adjustable, it was only adjustable forward and backwards, not up and down.Which is a bit odd considering it says it's for 18 month to four-year-old children. My daughter was too tall for the bike. I brought it back today because there was no way she could use it. The girl who sold it to me yesterday said no problem and then she got another woman to come help me. I assume this is the store owner(a middle-age woman behind the counter). She was incredibly rude. She told me that she's gonna have to eat the cost as a small business and rolled her eyes, and then said that it's not actually returnable, but that she would give me a refund. Ok? You're mad at me? For doing business with you? Because something had what seems like false advertising on the box? It wasn't broken, but it did not adjust. I'm not sure how a four-year-old would be able to use that bike (The age was 18 months to four years old with an adjustable seat). Considering that seat doesn't adjust up and down makes it a bit odd to advertise such a large age gap. I left the store thinking that she was clearly mad at me and upset that I had returned the bike.That attitude at a children's store is just not the way to do business. As a business owner, sometimes that's just the cost of doing business. Sometimes you have to do the right thing regardless of whether or not that is in your financial best interest. I don't think I'll be back to shop here anymore. Which is too bad because I love supporting local businesses here in Baltimore.

There is also an area to the right of the entrance where you can pay a $10 fee per person to play a large assortment of games they have in their board game room. I came in with a gift card, looking to purchase a new game for myself. I wasn't too sure what I wanted, so I asked an employee for some advice, and she was wonderful! She took the time to learn what types of games I enjoy playing and walked me through a few different recommendations, explaining how the gameplay worked for each of them. Everyone I interacted with at this store were such wonderful people. I'll definitely return in the future and bring along some friends to play in the game room!

Managed to get there on a good day, easy parking. it's a small shopping center, y'know? Walking in, it literally was wall-to-wall vintage collectibles. Many still in their packages. Walking through it all brought a sense of nostalgia, but at the same time I felt a dull pain--in my wallet. Whatever your focus is, collecting can be expensive and time consuming. Star Wars, Barbie, He-Man, Star Trek (to a lesser extent)...DC/Marvel superheroes. Collectible toy cars (Hot wheels, etc.). There's a lot to look at. Some in their own package, some bagged specifically for the store. 85% of what's there are action figures and such. The rest is a mix of collectible comics, toy cars, and other odd bits. I'd say the prices are reasonable, though a handful of the limited edition collectibles (such as a Sideshow figure of Ghost Rider on his flaming bike) had prices which gave heart palpitations. Era-wise, I'd say the vast majority of toys there are mid-70's on. So there are toys related to "The Six Million Dollar Man", as an example. There were some older 50's era pieces as well. And, like i said, some comics. If I had more time to look I would've stayed longer, but time's the one thing I didn't have. Speaking of which, they were out of the one thing I was looking for. Not a problem, though. If it's not there I won't be tempted to buy it. One more thing: They opened up a 'dollar store' version of the shop a few doors down. It has what you'd expect to find there.

The owner and manger were gone and there were two workers there, one very helpful, informative, and personable. The second, not so much. A tall, skinny white guy, with a big lump on his neck. He was rude, dismissive, and raised his voice at me. (I felt uncomfortable asking him questions) I brought a comic to the front from their $40 bin to purchase and he said he had to do a price check. I waited patiently while he checked, he said he wasn't going to sell it to me because he couldn't confirm the price. The second person helped explain why (missing a sticker) which I understood and accepted. I went to check out my other 2 comics and I politely mentioned to the tall, skinny guy, with the lump on his neck that he should be more kind and explain things better. He pointed the graded comic in my face, started shaking it in front of me, and said "you don't tell me what to do, leave the store, bye" I said I would still like to buy the other comics and his response was "I'm not selling you SH*T! GET OUT"

Their book section is outstanding! They have so many great books ranging in subject matter, especially many about music or musicians/bands, tons of cookbooks, and loads of puzzle and coloring books. It really is a great place to buy books. The also have a lot of random as seen on TV stuff, food items, linens and kitchen/bath essentials. Deals can be found here, just don't rush in thinking you'll be able to locate something straightaway. The workers on the floor have been less than helpful, in my experience, but the cashiers have always been friendly and somewhat knowledgable. If you go on a Sunday, parking can be tricky because there is giant strip mall church next door and the parishioners use a lot of the spaces. Other than all that, if you love to hunt a deal, Ollie's can be fun.
