My favorite stop on our little escape to Havre de Grace. After brunch, we wandered around town and stopped in here. Intriguing - if you are into collecting Tupperware, Pyrex (do you know the difference between Pyrex and pyrex?) Fiesta or Corning, they have tons of stuff here. Get yer knick knacks and quirky gift item for that quirky friend of yours. Lots of Blue Q products here with those sassy sayings - if you know, you know. Such a lovely place to find some vintage or repurposed pieces. My mother was the one that introduced me to this location! So happy she did because I have purchased some lovely pieces from here. They have from vinyl to clothing and everything else in between. Several of the pieces you look at they try and label the timeframe the item is from so that is pretty cool! I am really into their military old school pieces! I was able to find some of the old school navy all white bell bottoms....SUCH A GEM!! They were in pristine condition!!! There is a small clearance section in the back that carries several pieces from the store. Some of the items are damaged and some are in perfect condition but I guess they are just trying to get rid of. I have found plenty of gems there! They have fitting rooms just in case you want to try the clothing on. They have a restroom for customers as well. All in all this is an amazing place to stop by if you are into vintage items!! read more

This place has SO SO SO SO much Pyrex, it's just ridiculous. Please don't register for Pyrex if you're getting married. Send a friend or family member to JoRetro, or just come your damn self. TRUST ME. This place was just awesome. Everything is vintage and in great condition. You'll find: jewelry, dish towels, clothes, home goods (especially for the kitchen), records, cooking books, children's puzzles, and various other gems. I loved every second in this store. read more

Haven't been here in years and decided to stop in because I like how organized their things are but never greeted. Even walked past a few of the employees and wasn't acknowledged or asked if we need help finding anything or anything. I expect this kind of service at McDonald's not at an expensive curated store. Ever since I've been collecting Pyrex, everyone talks about this amazing store that is the Mecca of the Pyrex world. I finally got to go to the store after many years of collecting and attended Pyrexfest-which is great, with great people and a definite must experience if you can- but JoRetro was built up to be someplace other worldly. And maybe it still would be if I hadn't met the owner who is a complete and absolute B of a woman that couldn't be more off-ish and unpleasant. As if she doesn't even have a business to protect the reputation of. So don't speak to the owner and the store, the myth, the legend will stay intact. read more

Whenever I come to Havre de Grace, JoRetro is a must. I've gotten some really nice things over the years including records, clothing and décor. Their pricing is fare and their stock is tastefully curated so there's always something new to check out. Would recommend to anyone in the area! read more

A beautiful retro shop...in the heart of Havre De Grace. You will step back in time once you enter the store. I went during Christmas time and there were several silver Christmas trees throughout the entrance, along with the rotating colored light, a reminder from back in the day. One of the best put together retro stores I've seen. So much of the merchandise is in pristine condition. The Pyrex is pricey, but you won't find this condition of glassware from the 1940s-70s anywhere else! Definitely stop in here and buy a piece or two for your kitchen or bar ware collection. BUYER BEWARE!! I was really excited to go to JoRetro to experience their Pyrex Festival and to shop there for the first time. The venders at the festival were very nice and they had lots of Pyrex to chose from. One of the items I was looking for was on the shelf inside JoRetro. It was a Spice of Life casserole dish with a lid. There were 2 of these dishes and after looking over the outside of the dish and the lid (the lid was taped to the dish so you could not clearly see inside) I picked the best looking dish. The dish with the least amount of of backed on grease and marks. When I got home I took the tape off the dish to wash it. The inside of the dish was so scratched that it had a dull finish. There was no shine to it at all. It appears to have been rubbed with some type of abrasive cleaner that completely ruined the finish. The lid is also scratched and has a brown tint. Now, I have bought vintage Pyrex before. I have purchased Pyrex from Ebay, and stores in Adamstown, PA. This is the worst condition I have ever seen. I don't understand why JoRetro bought it, the condition is that bad. So, if you go to JoRetro and see Pyrex you are interested in...take it to the counter and ask them to remove the lid so you can examine what you are buying. read more

Love, love, love! My mom and I stopped in while traveling and the both of us went crazy looking around! Lots of pretty Pyrex and interesting jewelry-- however, if you're not in the market for such, worry not! Plenty of vintage nicknacks, clothing, typewriters, and suitcases in great condition! The prices are well within reason. I snagged some coveralls, as well as an asian inspired skirt and top. Sad to have left a nice oriental jacket behind. My mother got a pretty lamp from clearance, and we got plenty of gifts for the family: felted soap, candles, and army coveralls! We eyed some leather jackets, antique linens, and quilts as well.
