Bait and switch on ride cost. When I first talked to them about moving a large group of people, I was told the price for 4 or more passengers was $8 per person. Overcharged for a ride yesterday 9/26/25. 1.1 mile ride, 4 minutes. Did not use a meter and asked $15 at ride completion I've been on this route multiple times and never over $9. This business needs to fail, I pray Uber them out of business. These wonderful folks let me pass out in the back of the taxi and let the meter run up to 40 bucks........then when they woke me up the cops were there. It was a set up 100%. We used them to go from the airport to our bed-and-breakfast, and then the reverse trip when we left town. Both times we had nice friendly, personable drivers who drove well, not all herky jerky, showed up on time and had a clean cab. That's about all you're looking for in a cab, in my opinion. I used Five 6s Cab Co when I arrived to Key West. I'm normally a public transit person but I hadn't properly researched my options. I was on true vacation, so I decided to go with what was easiest at the time. At the time, there was a bit of construction on Roosevelt. We took a few side roads instead, but I don't feel much time or money was wasted. It ended up being a little over $20 from the Airport to the Walgreens on Duval St. After tip it cost me $25, which seems steep but sounds about right for the area. I considered taking the cab back to the Airport when I left because the public transit website is somewhat confusing; however, I put a bit more effort into understanding it and found it to be only a few dollars to get where I needed to go and went with that instead. My driver upon arrival was professional but not too chatty. He wasn't unfriendly but we didn't talk for most of the ride and he ended up being the least conversational person I encountered on my entire trip. So think of this as something to use to get from one place to another but not as much of an experience. I recommend using the bus if you're going to somewhere well trafficked but a cab could come in handy getting across town more quickly or to areas that the buses don't normally go. read more

Our hotel said there was no airport shuttle to let us get to the airport the following day so we could pickup our rental car. But on the way to dinner, a pretty pink cab was stopped at the light on Duval with their telephone number in gi-hugent lettering on the side of the cab. We didnt even have to break stride to make our telephoned reservation. The next morning, our own immaculate, pretty pink cab was early and waiting at the appointed pickup time at the hotel. There was plenty of trunk space for bags, and a very courteous driver. And only $8 per person for the airport run. read more

It was easy to remember this particular cab company and hard to miss considering the vans are usually hot pink. We frequently used this cab company to get from the North side of the island to Duval St. (South Side) but i have to say that the service was very sub par. On busy nights, such as weekends. When calling dispatch, they were rude, didn't answer, frequently hung up and taxis took awhile to arrive. Okay, it's a busy night, that's understandable. But even the drivers agreed that when they get busy, dispatch can be very rude because they're not very good at handling the volume. The drivers for the most part were mostly rude. One driver even said, verbatim, "Give me the money" No..he did not get a tip for such behavior. There were a couple drivers who were very nice. And we kept their specific numbers just to avoid having to deal with another crappy driver or dispatch. All in all, it's a basic cab company. Don't expect much. read more

This is the most unorganized and unprofessional taxi service I have ever heard of. The workers in the office know absolutely nothing and couldn't help me at all when I had an issue with my driver last night. She was unprofessional and yelling at me that she couldn't help me or do anything because they do things by paper and throw it out at the end of the day. The reason that I am giving Five 6's two stars has nothing to do with their cars or drivers. It is their deceptive pricing. So BEWARE! On the way to our hotel from the Key West airport, we were charged $9/per person to get to our hotel. Maybe I was naive, but my impression was that the same exact route back to the airport would still be $9/per person. When I had visited Key West less than 8 months prior to this visit, that was exactly what I was charged. But this morning, I [alone] was charged on the meter a little less than $22. I am outraged. Used them twice while in Key West. 1st time, the driver came when asked to be there. That was nice. The bad thing was he was either impaired or crazy or/and both. Drove too fast, whipping around corners. Didn't drop us at the right location, dropped us several blocks too far. But I was happy to leave his cab alive, so I'll take what I can get. 2nd time, called and gave them name and address of where we were staying. 20 minutes go by, still no cab so I called again. They had sent the cab to a different "southernmost" location. Which is why I had given the address, because there is like 18 different "southernmost" places to stay in Key West. But driver who did come was very polite and nice. Not crazy or impaired. Got us to airport safely and I budgeted in the extra time so we were okay. This company is known in Key West just as "Pink Taxi" or "Five 6's". I had a hard time finding them on how to share my very unpleasant experience. I'm not surprised they hide under a different name so people can't find them to review them. The cab stunk, the driver was rude, he drove like an imbecile, wasn't wearing a mask and when I asked him to put one on he threatened to put me out in the side of the road. Two different experiences with this company; both bad. First day in town, we called for a cab to go downtown. We waited in the hotel lobby. After a few minutes, the cab pulled up. We got up to go outside, and watched the cab, after waiting perhaps 5 seconds (not exaggerating) drive away. Hotel desk called for another, but we were able to flag down a competitor cab while we waited. Second episode, our cab never showed up at the hotel after more than 25 minutes of waiting. In this instance we were headed to a sunset cruise and needed to be there on time. Hotel concierge finally called us a private car that barely got us to our destination on time. Then when no one is in the taxi will honk at you if you unconvinced them by driving the speed limit. My family used this cab company for the two weeks we were on vacation in key west and shame on us, we should have found another company because they were awful! The dispatch was rude every single time we called and it took the cabs forever to show up. Several times people took our cabs and when we called again they acted disgusted that we were bothering them again. For our flight home we called and scheduled the day before as we needed to be picked up at 5am - the cab arrived and left because we were not sitting at the curb waiting for it - he did not honk, or call our cell, or buzz the unit we were staying in...just left. We called and they said they would send another driver, they did, and we got to the airport on time, but not without unnecessary added stress.
