Yesterday my best friend & I were coming back from a snorkeling trip in a big group of TOURISTS . We didn't exactly know where we parked because the driver took us to the front of a hotel instead of the opposite side of the hotel where the snorkeling company's parking lot was & she drove us to the second hotel where the rest of the tourists got off at . We then realized we must of needed to get off at the first hotel instead of the second one & I tried to tell the driver Margaret that we came down from Fort Lauderdale to visit for the day & we didn't know exactly where we were ... She then cut me off & said " Did you not see me drop off everyone at the first stop "!!! I was shocked of how rude she said it to us , also the fact that I told her it was our bad because we didn't recognize the front of the hotel because we didn't drive in from that way !!!! She then slammed the doors in my face , hopped in the drivers seat , slammed her door then angrily drove us back to the first hotel . Then , she let us out then slammed all the doors again. My friend was actually scared because how that woman was acting. After getting in our car , I then called Key Lime Taxi to try to talk to a manager or to whoever it may concern about the lovely customer service their driver Margaret had with us ... He then listened to me , then said " Today we don't have any woman drivers on the schedule " Complete UNPROFESSIONAL ASS BULLSHIT" WHO THE FUCK WAS DRIVING US AROUND & WTF DID SHE HAVE ONE OF YOUR VANS ? Never take this taxi company. They guy started the clock before we got in the taxi. He took the longest way possible to get us to Duval street. It was a over 30 to go 3.9 miles. If it were only possible to give zero stars... it's legally ripping people off. $7 per person for three people traveling together to the same location, regardless of distance. Refuse to turn on the meter. It is cheaper sometimes for three individuals to take a separate cab. Makes no sense. Plus the drivers just complain about Uber the entire ride. After 30 minutes of waiting we called to see where the driver was, they had given our cab to someone else. Then they said they were sending someone now. We walked to dinner last night, but due to rain, had to call a taxi to get back to our B&B. Key Lime Taxi arrived very promptly (about 5 minutes). The van was clean, the driver was friendly and helpful, but after he dropped us off was when he more than earned the 5 stars. He called and came back to where we were staying because we had inadvertently overpaid him. We had no idea. When you call a cab, you expect a ride. We got promptness, courteousness, cleanliness and trustworthiness. We would definitely use them again. And tip nicely! read more

Terrible! We had to take this Key Lime van hired by American Airlines to Miami when our flight was cancelled. The driver sounded like he was acting as dispatcher for the whole company as he was constantly switching between two phones on the highway talking practically the entire 3 1/2 hour trip and clearly being distracted from his driving. read more

Two weeks later and still no check and now no responses from Margaret when I contact her. The taxi was okay, the driver was friendly and helpful. However I was staying at the La Conca Hotel in Key West, I had the hotel call an hour ahead of my desired departure time for a taxi. They called Key Lime and told me it would be there at 12:45 PM as I requested. At 1 PM I go back to the desk and they tell me it will be there in just a couple of minutes. I had made my request based on the 15 minute drive time to the Key West Airport. The taxi shows up at 1 PM the driver helped with my bags. The first warning I should have picked up on was he showed up in passenger van, then when he wanted to stack my two bags on top of each other in the back where there was plenty of room. Next thing you know we are stopping at another hotel to pick up two more guest. I bite my lip and don't say anything they are ready to go so not much more of delay for an already delayed trip to the airport. Next thing you know here he pulls into yet another hotel wanting to pick up 7 more passengers, we only had room for 5 more and they were not happy to be leaving two of their travel companions to look for another ride. If I had asked for a shuttle I would not be complaining but I asked for a CAB and feel I was suckered!!!!! read more

My friends and I were visiting Key West for 4th of July, a pretty crazy time. 3 of us flagged down one of the available vans and had him take us to drop off our friend home. Our driver was a little impatient/rude at first when trying to give him directions (us not knowing the cross streets, etc.). He also wasn't very clear when explaining the fees. At first he said it would be $3.50 per mile, then he said the fees will run by the meter. Trying to clarify that was confusing. I think once our driver realized we were not drunk, that we were genuinely trying to figure out where we needed to be and tried to help him out, and actually striking up friendly conversation, then he lightened up and the ride was more enjoyable. He ended up being a great driver, even taking quicker routes to our destination, rather than sitting in traffic letting the meter run. Our driver was Tim, last name unknown. We enjoyed our ride and I'm sure he enjoyed his ride too; free of drunk tourists ;) read more
