I stopped in after a long day of shopping just wanting a burger and a beer, and the first 20 minutes were actually pleasant. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. After the burger arrived I held it and it was overly wet and soggy to the point that it was no longer appetizing. I usually finish a burger when I order one, but I could not get past the third or fourth bite. What bothered me even more was the bill. I usually calculate tips myself because many restaurants now include pre-selected tip suggestions at the bottom of receipts. This restaurant had those suggested percentages listed, but when I checked the math, the suggested tip amount was about $1.50 higher than the actual percentage shown. That immediately raised a red flag for me. Tip suggestions should be accurate, not inflated beyond the percentage printed next to them. Given that this is in a touristy area where people may stop in quickly after shopping, I assume that is why this was done but that kind of practice is especially unacceptable. Between the poor quality of the burger and the inaccurate tip suggestion, I would not return.

Service from the bartender was great. I ordered the fish and chips and a Bloody Mary. Everything was great up till then. Unfortunately, the food was a disappointment. Maybe it was a deep fat fryer thing, but I respectfully suggest the cook be given a little additional training. The fish batter was hard on the outside, and the fish was completely mushy on the inside. Like, gray mush. The fries were lukewarm. The mushy peas and the tartar sauce were served in little covered plastic disposable containers. I'm not a fan of that, but I get it is convenient. I truly wanted to like this place, and except for my one experience with the food, I would certainly return. People were having fun, and I did as well.
