Date of visit: November 18, 2023
I was pleased to see that the Fitzgerald Pharmacy was reopening after it closed prior to the pandemic. While it wasn't a place that I visited often, especially since I don't visit pharmacies all that often, it's good to have a mix of non-chain stores in the area.
Adding to my excitement was the $5 off coupon I received in the mail to come in and check out the new store. My husband came down with a cold so this was a perfect time to grab some NyQuil. When I arrived, I remembered that it wasn't a very big store, but with the reopening of the ice cream bar, it is teeny tiny! The store is very well-kept and clean, at least.
I found some NyQuil (tip: the prices are hidden on the side of the products, not on the shelves for some odd reason) and I was taken aback at how much it was for such a tiny bottle, but figured my coupon would offset some of that, so I wasn't too worried. But when it was time to check out, I was told my $5 coupon was only going to be $4 because "the coupon would make the item less than we paid for it," as though that was an acceptable answer.
Not likely to visit the pharmacy part of the business again anytime soon, but would come back and try the ice cream maybe. read more
