I don't understand the negative reviews here! Just joined this gym today and did my first workout…read more I was looking for a place that's affordable, clean, conveniently located (I'm a few blocks away), has plenty of equipment, and doesn't pressure you to sign up for personal training, classes, etc. That's exactly what I got. At $19.99 a month (with no long term contracts), this is perfect for me. I can use the ellipticals, the bikes, the treadmills. And at this price, if I go three times a week, I'm still getting my money's worth. If you want glamor and glitz with a price tag to match, go to one of the "fancy" places. There are plenty of them out there. But if you're looking for a place to get in a workout without the nonsense, then check out this place. You won't be sorry!

MG Fitness…read moreincludes machines that are almost always working, efficient parking, and a light membership cost. The only negatives can be found from the size and front desk workers. Especially on a Sunday morning when lots of people are exercising, the gym gets quite cramped. As for the front desk workers, they often get confused whenever a problem with your membership or whatnot gets brought up. Aside from the occasional loud grunter, there are no annoying meat-heads to be found, as far as I know. Anyone from any age or any type of physique can join without intimidation.

He's extremely knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely cares about his clients. Throughout pregnancy, he adjusted workouts thoughtfully so I always felt safe, but still strong and capable. Postpartum, he helped me ease back into movement with patience and encouragement, focusing on rebuilding strength without pressure or rushing the process. I always felt listened to and supported, even on hard days. If you're looking for a trainer who truly understands the body, especially during major life changes and meets you where you are, Christos is it! I am very surprised to not see more negative reviews of this place…read more First: price - exorbitant! $3400 per 12 weeks, three times weekly 30 minute sessions - this is some pricey private training... That's about $200 per hour they make, makes you wonder: what's their expertise to charge this kind of money?? Secondly, I was desperate to lose weight, so I signed up for it and having had really high expectations! I was excited and looking forward to following their program, including the food sensitivity and DNA based recommendations. However, after a while, not hearing any plans from my trainer for those, I asked and, bummer: these are extra bucks! $600 to be precise, for the DNA testing, which turns out is actually a simple "spit in a box and send it to the lab" thing, which anywhere else (ancestry.com, 23andme) is around $100.00. Long story short: not an inch/pound lost, just wasted a ton of money. Also, they really made me feel bad about myself for "possibly" not following the guides in the booklet, and saying that "we're doing all we can here, but we can't know what you're doing out of here" - so, basically, I was cheating and this is why there were no results. Ugh, I didn't cheat and I did work hard because I'm an adult and I want to put my money to good purpose. While they're not bad people, although I can't justify the high fees they charge and they didn't rob me of the money, I wish there would be more transparency in the services fees. Because of this I don't recommend them, as being misleading and selling overpriced services. P.S. I lost the weight (20 lbs) just by joining a $99/month unlimited Yoga-Pilates club, where I enjoy working out and doing low-impact muscle building exercises, for three months now.

I almost don't want to give this place up....I have just started to drop my kids off at their…read morechildcare center and I can't say enough good things about the ladies that work there. They really do seem to care about the children they watch and know about childcare. They are so good about encouraging the kids to play and feel comfortable and are very communicative about their progress. Whatever they are paid- it's not enough! They have a TON of fitness programs and brand new cardio equipment, which is great. It's not the fanciest workout gym, but what else do you expect- its the YMCA... The one bit of feedback I would give is to sync up their open pool times (the small warmer pool that kids are going to want to swim in more) with the childcare times. So if open swim is only from 2-3:15, then child care should start at 3:15 or end at 2, so mom and dad could do a work out before or after taking their kids to the pool. I would also love to see a lot more open pool time in the small pool (the warmer pool). It is only open 2-3:15 during the week and most young kids nap from 12-3 during the day (probably the reason they have this time is all the other times are taken up by lessons). In any case, that's my two cents...

It's disappointing to see that nothing has changed at this Y in over a decade. The same rude and…read moreunprofessional behavior others documented 12+ years ago is still present particularly within membership services. My interaction with Laura was hostile and dismissive and appeared discriminatory. Call it what it looks like. Hatred doesn't elevate anyone; it exposes them. While this location seems stuck in petty, ugly behavior, the rest of us move forward choosing dignity and decency. I was contacted regarding an alleged outstanding balance, even though my bank records clearly show successful withdrawals for both my membership and my daughter's swim lessons. When I disputed this and provided documentation, both services were immediately canceled and a refund was refused. The issue was escalated to the Regional Business Manager, who acknowledged receipt of the documentation but continues to request additional bank statements in order to "investigate," further delaying what should be a simple refund. At this point, the issue is not missing information but unnecessary delays. I am still waiting for refunds for canceled services and expect this matter to be resolved promptly.

Walking into the place is half the battle and I am so so SO glad I found this operation. I have been welcomed with open, non-judgmental, accepting arms. I am learning a lot about what my body is capable of. If you're the kind of person who can go to Planet Fitness and bang out a killer workout on your own, that's awesome. But I need someone to tell me what to do and watch me do it. Otherwise, it's just not happening. Sad, but true. I love the boxing class. It's my go-to class. I even bought boxing gloves and hand wraps. Who am I? It is totally cathartic to punch a heavy bag in these times of political insanity. I recommend it. The trainers are super knowledgeable and really pay attention to form, which I appreciate. They happily assist with modifications. The schedule as it is now fits my life well. I need a start time of 5pm or later and there are a lot of classes to choose from.
