This studio works!!! I've lost 12lbs over three months, grown into a healthy but also sustainable…read morelifestyle and I've even started to like working out. Signing myself up for RBPT has been the best gift I've given to myself this year. I've been training with Chanice for the past three months and she's the absolute best. I was a super weak student to start with -- I used to go to gym maybe once a month and could barely power through 30min of jogging on the treadmill. My body was so tight that a proper lunge felt super painful. Chanice really paced all the exercises for me; once I became comfortable in a certain level, she'd push me to the next. I see her twice or three times a week and she focuses on different muscles for each class -- no two classes are the same which makes it so much fun! She's also given me stretching exercises to do when I'm travelling to work on my flexibility. And I'm doing more cardio (even kind of liking them now!) because she forces me to lol. Those are really the things I knew I should've done but wouldn't do without her pushing me. I definitely feel I've become stronger, leaner and healthier with the training. Things like squats, lunges, weights feel much easier than before; I can even do some pushups from time to time! Besides the workouts she also watches my meals and gives feedback on the ingredients, portion size, etc. Honestly this is the easiest and most sustainable diet I've been on (and I had tried maybe 187 other diets before this) -- it's been 3 months and I've still not called quits! Surprisingly I've grown to really like eating veggies and fruits too which would be unthinkable prior to my training... I really appreciate that she accommodates to my ever-changing travel schedule and has worked with me at some weird hours. The studio itself is clean, spacious (though a bit crowded at some popular hours) and well equipped. The locker room has showers and is well maintained. I hesitated to post this review because then Chanice and the studio will become even more popular and harder to schedule, but oh well she & RBPT really deserve the high praise

Filled out the online inquiry and received a quick response to fill out a form with basic info…read more The form asks about info like goals, injuries,... I have a few injuries that impact some flexibility but generally don't limit me (for example, I play competitive tennis and used to box semi-competitively). I also stated I was just looking for general conditioning but hoped that through the strength training I could improve my structure (for example, my shoulders pull forward a little because I need to develop my back a bit). A week passes and I don't hear a thing. I send a follow-up and very quickly hear back with an e-mail response stating that they aren't a physical therapist and won't take me on as a client. I'm somewhat surprised but sent a response clarifying I wasn't looking for a physical therapist just a trainer and seeing who they could recommend. Again, I didn't hear back...I've moved on. I ended up finding an amazing trainer who I've been working with the last few months and the progress has been great.

I started working out with Maria, a personal trainer at Just Train, earlier this winter because my…read moreworkout routine was becoming a grind. Call it the winter blues. I was bored out of my mind with the treadmill and didn't know what else to do with myself, so I found Just Train by googling for personal trainers in my area and came in for an assessment. Maria immediately made me feel comfortable and came up with a workout that was tailored to exactly what I wanted to achieve. Each session is one hour, but it's the fastest hour I've ever spent at a gym. The workouts are challenging but very doable, and I liked the intimate environment -- it's really just you, your trainer, and maybe two other people working out with their trainers at the same time. It's laidback and you get the sense of a real community. If I decide to work with a trainer again down the road, I will most probably be knocking on their door again.

I have always "worked out" from classes to trainers,…read morePilates, Yoga, running etc. I saw mediocre results. Three years ago, my good friend introduced me to Joel and I have been training with him ever since. "Excellent Trainer" doesn't do Joel justice. He is way more than just a great trainer - he is a fitness guru, motivational coach, and nutritional expert all in one. He personalizes my workout regimes to meet my goals and body type, and is genuinely invested in my journey to achieving maximum fitness. He is reliable, consistent, and inspiring - so much so, that I am willing to go to the financial district at 6am weekly to see him (despite living and working taxi rides away and being a night person! ) I highly recommend Joel for anyone looking to improve their overall well being, fitness and/or outlook on life!

Every time I went to the gym in the past, it was with a friend and I would just chill at the cardio machines. After long bouts of body dysmorphia and bad eating habits, I came to Ivy knowing something had to change with my lifestyle and that I had no idea where to start in terms of using any kind of proper exercise techniques. When looking for a trainer, I was looking for someone who would push me and make sure the exercises weren't cookie cutter like the ones offered at most big gyms. From Ivy's past reviews I knew she was the one (personable, cares about her clients, invested in long term lifestyle improvements). Ivy is empathetic and encouraging no matter your level and will push you to ensure you are getting the most out of your sessions. Her programming is diverse and aligns with your personal goals (which you go over in the first consultation call). I did the group sessions and Ivy always makes sure the vibes are uplifting and motivating (awesome playlists btw - also loved the workout groups)! I was already seeing results by the end of the first month, already learned how to properly deadlift and squat and understood which muscles had to be worked on with certain exercises. Ivy will go over exercises with patience and understanding and even breaks down steps further if you are struggling. Working out with Ivy was the highlight of my week and I looked forward to every session. I can now lift heavy things I couldn't carry before and my stamina is improving every week. My only regret was not starting with her sooner! I went from running the other way with the idea of the gym to loving exercise (not to mention my mental health is on an all time high since starting four months ago). I've learned to love my body and love sweating it out at the gym. The first day I stepped into a public gym by myself, I was able to approach the squat racks without embarrassing myself! I cannot emphasize how amazing she is through this essay alone so definitely call her for a consultation and see for yourself ;)

We came in with different fitness levels and goals, and Ivy met us exactly where we were - she designed personalized workouts that challenged us both without ever feeling out of reach. Each session was thoughtful, well-structured, and never repetitive. She kept things interesting by constantly mixing up the exercises, and she was always quick to tweak things on the spot based on how we were feeling that day. Whether it was strength training, mobility work, or endurance, Ivy knew exactly how to push us. On top of being an incredibly skilled trainer, Ivy is warm, professional, and just a joy to spend time with. We genuinely looked forward to our workouts and always left feeling a little prouder of ourselves! She's able to push you with just the right mix of intensity, humor, and encouragement. Highly, highly recommend Ivy to anyone looking for a trainer, whether you're getting back into fitness or want to level up!!
