Fitquity is probably one of my favorite gyms in Burbank! It's primarily a boxing gym, which is exactly my style. Some of the equipment, like the cardio and fitness machines, is a bit older, but overall, I prefer coming here over places like 24 Hour Fitness, Crunch, Planet Fitness, or the Y. They don't have amenities like a pool or sauna, but I get a fantastic workout every time, and I love that it's less crowded. Currently a member at Blink, which is honestly a steal for the price, but as someone who bikes everywhere and is busy, the commute there is a bit tough. Going to fitiquity would save me 30-40 minutes 3-4 times a week in commuting time, so I really wanted it to work. I arrived and told the woman at the front desk I was interested in doing a trial membership. She shoves a piece of paper at me, tells me to put my name down, and hands me a card, and that's it. No spiel. No what are you looking for. No let me show you around. No liability waiver (insane...). I ask her if there's locker rooms. She says "under the W." From the angle, I can't see what she's talking about, and she looks incredibly belabored when I ask her to show me where. The locker rooms and facilities are fine. A little outdated, but livable. It was definitely hot in there, so I don't think they're cranking AC. There's stuff sort strewn all over the floor in one area, which is annoying especially since I come to the gym to clear my head but again, not the end of the world. I wander around for a bit, try to find the stuff I usually use, which is mostly free weights. There's no real warm up area or mats if the rooms are filled with classes, which was not great but I could make do since I often workout at odd hours. The deal breaker was when I couldn't find the squat rack. I asked the same belabored employee where it was. She pointed to the smith machine. I said "that's a smith machine. Do you have a squat rack?" She pointed to a stack of barbells used for seated overhead presses and suggested I use that. I told her I need safety bars, the ability to rack on my back, etc. She said they didn't have one. I'm honestly shocked - while the gym has classes and prioritizes boxing, more than half the gym is dedicated to weight training. She offered no explanation as to why they wouldn't have one - is it broken? Do they have a philosophical objection to squat racks? Is this gym not intended for the kind of clientele that uses squat racks? Had the staff been even slightly more helpful, maybe I could've looked past the rest, but this would dramatically adjust my workouts in ways I'm not willing to cope with, especially for a pretty dramatic price increase from blink. I hope someday things will shift here and I'll be back, but until then, guess I'm sticking with Blink! read more

WARNING: They intentionally charge you past your cancellation. Where do I begin? 1. They only see you as money machines: they will charge you extra, sometimes double charge, and insist that you have to take it up with your bank 2. I have overheard the owners commenting disgusting things about the women who go there. 3. They always have the most annoying shows BLASTING on the TVs 4. It seems like every 15 minutes someone is revving their engine in the parking lot 5. They don't turn on the A/C in the peak of the summer. The list goes on. Avoid at all costs. read more

Not worth it unless you're here for boxing. The gym itself is decent, but it could use more upkeep and attention in certain areas. The equipment and facility feel a bit neglected over time. The owner is a shrewd businessman -- be very careful with contracts here. He'll try to lock you in, and getting out of one is almost impossible. Always read the fine print. The only true selling point is the boxing area, which is solid and well worth it if that's what you're looking for. But if you don't box, I would avoid this gym altogether because of the owner's approach to business. read more

I cannot stress how much I implore you to avoid this gym. The staff absolutely does not care about the quality of equipment, experience, or health of members. Today, the air quality index (AQI) was over 150, which is considered unhealthy, and the gym had all of its doors and windows WIDE open. Multiple people asked Brenda at the front desk to close it, and she did nothing. Finally, when I called her out on how unsafe it was, she said rudely "well, you can close them yourself." Then when I asked to cancel my membership out of concern for my health, she silently pushed a form my way and then declared it would be 30 days to cancel, so I'll be charged two more months*. This is a money hungry business that caters to their friends only, and everyone else does not matter. So disappointing. *When my friend cancelled months ago, they fraudulently charged her card for FIVE MONTHS! read more

This is a pretty good gym! It's a small local gym, which means that you see the same faces every day, and it feels like a community. It's very casual, feels very safe. Owner seems nice, employees are helpful if you need it for some reason, and they have towel service, which is a big deal for me going to the gym. There's a few machines I wish they had (the lack of rowing machine kills me), so they don't get five stars, but otherwise it's nice. Of note, as a man, my assessment of what makes a gym safe and comfortable is probably very different than other genders, so take this with a grain of salt. read more

Unfortunate local gym experience, I started my membership after the 1st of the month yet paid for the first full month, no one told me when signing up that I physically had to come in and cancel. I unfortunately couldn't work my schedule around the gyms so I needed somewhere with longer weekend hours. I sent an email in writing 2 weeks ago that I needed to cancel and not one person bothered to respond to say you have to come down in person. I finally went in today on the 2nd, and told I would be charged for November and December. Awful experience, save your money and go somewhere else. read more

HARD TO CANCEL AND HARD TO GET IN CONTACT WITH. BUT THEY WON'T HESITATE TO CALL YOU WHEN YOUR PAYMENT WONT PROCESS! You get 2 stars because your staff was friendly, the place was clean and had everything I needed. But you are impossible to get ahold of. I moved to an apartment complex with a gym in April of 2023. I emailed to cancel my account. The guy asked me if I had filled out a form, I replied I didn't know I had to fill out a form. I got no reply but they appeared to stop the payments. After a month I got charged again and emailed to try to cancel again. No reply. I called the number listed on Google and nobody answered, and I got the "this voice mailbox has not been set up yet." I forgot about it again until I switched banks and got laid off. Since there was no money in my account anymore I started getting calls from unknown numbers in Texas and they'd leave voicemails trying to collect payments. I called to cancel at Fitiquity again and no answer, mailbox not set up. I just saw I got charged AGAIN. I looked up Fitiquity in my bank statements and in the time where nobody called me and I didn't see a charge, turns out they'd just been taking heaps of money once it hit my account!! and called my bank to block payments from them. Im unemployed now and I could really use the $700 they more or less stole from me. I take a little responsibility for not emailing them over and over again to try and get it sorted earlier, but come on, THIS many non-replies? Not answering the phone? The WORST customer service ever. Don't even have the courtesy of returning phone calls or emails. They had flyers delivered to your home. They placed mine between two screens and you couldn't get the flyer out of the screen. Called and spoke with Montse who is clueless and didn't even offer an apology but rather answered with all I do is work here. They damage your property, you call them twice and write two emails and they don't have the decency to return a call. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR BUSINESS THEY DON'T DESERVE IT. These people make up the terms and rules when they feel like it. I started membership many months ago. I never stepped foot in there again or touched equipment. I gave them money for nothing and I was fine w that part but I walked in over a month ago and filled out a form in person to cancel membership and they said they are still going to charge my card at the first of the month anyway because I was three weeks notice instead of 30 day notice. My bank canceled my card because of a suspected fraud alert, unrelated. When fitiquity tried to charge my card and it didn't go through, nobody bothered to contact me at all, they just sent me straight to collections without trying to email me, call me or send me any mail. Do not give these people one dollar for anything at any time. I've had a lot of friends that canceled memberships recently with them because the owners only turn on the air conditioning for themselves and their clients. Talk about disrespectful self serving owners. They are trying to charge me for non payment, a month of membership and some annual crap fee on top of membership. Why??? I cancelled my membership you losers. I'm telling anybody and everybody I know all about you! By the way, I joined a new gym with the best hospitality, equipment atmosphere and positive vibes just down the street called ENRICHFIT. I highly recommend you check out this gym instead. You'll see the difference for yourself. BY THE WAY, I've seen all the previous reviews of impossible professional departure from fitiquity. Only a 5 day notice of cancellation is required at ENRICHFIT because they are professional and don't leave a bad taste because the end goal is that they want you to return one day and be happy. I am also a small business owner, and disgusted with Fitiquity being such scammers. The equipment is well maintained and high-grade for someone serious about their fitness. It's clean in the locker rooms and throughout the entire gym experience. This place is awesome, especially in dealing with any apprehension due to the pandemic. They have a top-grade air cleaning system, high ceilings, and large window garage doors that they let up for additional air circulation. The staff is friendly and down to earth, bathrooms are clean, and classes are great. I especially like the spin classes and the stretch class offered Saturday mornings. Good luck trying to cancel a membership here. Nice gym, nice equipment but they won't let you do something as simple as calling to cancel. You have to show up in person with a written note plus your ID. Never heard of that in my life. To top it off, I have been trying to get my money back for the time I stopped going there (months) and when I call all they can tell me is we can give you a call back or Trent can help you. I took Hidie's spin class on a Thursday @ 5:30pm at Fitiquity, they have a spin room which has tons of bikes and feels like a boutique studio! Hidie plays really good upbeat/pop music which I love to spin to and her energy is infectious... I definitely got a good sweat in and will be back! read more

When I came across this gym I wasn't expecting to meet so many wonderful people . I was just focused on one thing and that was working out sticking to my self . The environment they set changed all that , the gym equipment is top quality and the boxing classes are amazing I would truly recommend it . To top it all the gym staff is not like any other gym. By far the best gym I have been to in the valley! All equipment and rooms are kept super clean and tidy at all times of the day. Gym is super big too!
