We've been working together for the past 7 months now and between the custom fitness & nutrition program she designed for me, as well as our in-person training sessions, I can honestly say I'm in the best shape I've been in since my early 20's. More importantly, I feel I've made genuinely sustainable, healthy lifestyle changes. And as a nice added bonus, I truly look forward to our in-person sessions every week because Alina is just an all-around lovely human and a joy to be around. Do yourself a favor and hire her for your fitness and nutrition needs! You won't be disappointed :-)

Because of her training, I recently completed a 9 mile hike and felt strong, energized and proud of my endurance. I haven't felt this good in a long time, and I credit that to Alina's expertise and commitment to my growth. Thanks, Alina for building my strength and confidence. I'm excited for the new challenges you bring!

Everyone minds there own business. You dont feel judged. When I say they have about almost everything you need im not joking. Their gym equipment is very modern to help build your gains. Additionally they have a physical therapist and about 30 trainers in total perhaps about 6 daily. They have a refrigerator to store your lunches in, a water cooler, private lockers and showers, towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash etc. The only downside is you may feel crowded when you workout bc of all the variety of gym equipment but this gym is meant to keep a threshold and did i mention this gym is 24/7??? Take advantage if you're early bird. I struggled a bit with their equipment ngl, bc im still a newb to weight lifting and im not familiar with seeing equipments having an on/off switch to load/unload weights however, i thought it was cool. I really enjoyed their dumbells and im glad for the most part, everyone reracks them. Sadlly im a starving student so it doesnt fit my budget yet. hopefully it will in the near future. I really appreciate that it's a private gym-- which makes working out much more enjoyable. Aaron is incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and patient. I've had some knee issues, and he always takes the time to modify exercises to fit my needs and make sure I'm working out safely. He genuinely cares about his clients' well-being, often following up after our sessions to check in on how I'm feeling. Another huge plus is his flexible schedule, which makes it easy for me to fit workouts into my busy schedule. More than the actual functional improvement I appreciate never being judged for my limitations or fiscally punished for having to cancel last minute. It feels like a safe space, which is so precious when you are chronically ill. I will recommend Aaron every single time to anyone aspiring to improve their health, not just their weight.

A skill I instantly appreciated was his communication, which existed prior to beginning any sessions. Chris showed interest in my overall goals as well as any restrictions or concerns I had. After being informed of my knee injury/recovery he did not show any concerns for his ability to develop a program to fit my needs. After just one session I immediately knew I would continue to train with Chris, as I walked away feeling tired but great at the same time. All sessions after have been different keeping me completely interested and excited to be there. That alone keeps me motivated because I can tell he actual cares about what he's doing and puts thought into every session. Another great quality is his ability to motivate. Through out the workouts he continuously motivates and drives you to keep going past what you normally would. Now, after just a few sessions I am able to see muscle definition on my quads, something I had lost after my surgery. I know as long as I continue working with Chris I will reach my physical fitness goals. If you are looking to get in shape, gain muscle, learn to eat healthier etc., give Chris the opportunity to help you out. He is very knowledgable as a trainer and you wont be disappointed!

This was pretty bad. My first experience seeking out a personal trainer and I sure did learn a lot. I'll begin with the fact that during the consultation with Robert, I let him know that I needed time to think about signing up because I wasn't sure it was financially feasible for me right now ($900 deposit + $82 weekly payments). He insisted on "helping" me by saying I could just pay half the deposit now and half at a later date (he stepped out of the office room so i could check my calendar for a payday that would work for paying the other half -- how kind). A big selling point for me was that, while nutrition was acknowledged as important, I was told it would not be strict or pushed on me. I was very upfront about my history of disordered eating and was assured that their staff are educated and mindful of this. I was then asked if I preferred a male or female trainer. As an AFAB person, I almost always default to female staff. He paired me with their trainer Bre. Fabulous. I tell him I will start next week and he puts me down for Tuesday per my request. My first session on Tuesday was my last session at Moses Fitness. I arrived and met with Bre, my trainer, who informed me that we would do a quick intake conversation before getting started. Sounds fine enough. We go into her office where I find out she knows absolutely nothing about me. Robert did not give her my information and she was entirely unprepared in terms of knowledge about me as her new client. Annoying but mostly whatever. We go over my goals (weight loss but nothing crazy -- just wanna get to a healthier weight before it becomes an issue). I inform her of my eating disorder history and she tells me she understands and will be mindful of this... and then she asks me if I'm able and willing to weigh my food. "...No. Given my history." "Totally! I respect that. There's no pressure to do that extra step, though if you decided to do it I would be a very happy trainer." I mean... come tf on. I also inform her of my sleep disorder (idiopathic hypersomnia), and she kindly asks about what it is and what I need in terms of accommodations. I let her know that frequent breaks are helpful given the quick onset of fatigue i experience and she lets me know that's totally fine. Awesome! Now we're getting started with the exercise portion of the session. It starts out okay! After a very quick shoulder stretch, I was a little nervous because she handed me two 10lb weights to start but figured she knows what she's doing. Without giving a play-by-play of the nearly 2hr hellscape, we continue onto the next thing she's got planned -- this is where everything went way downhill. I was able to do a single set of 10 mostly okay. It was challenging but it felt good! ... and then she said 2 more. I was aggressively shaking and experiencing a lack of strength I've never felt before. She's pushing me to push through it but I'm taking breaks because of how wiped i was already feeling. This continues through every workout we do. I let her know on *3* separate occasions that I was light headed and dizzy. She told me to take a breather. Then back to it. Finally, we're finish the first of 3 whole-body sets and I tell her I need her to show me where I can safely vomit. *Now* she's listening. She takes me to the restroom that thankfully smelled strongly enough of chemicals that the extreme nausea dropped to mild nausea and throwing up was averted. I came out of the bathroom and the first thing she says after asking if I'm okay is: "Please come back." The next morning, I upload a picture of a muffin to the Moses app for my trainer to see and I almost immediately receive a comment from Bre that I should avoid muffins moving forward and have a bagel with cottage cheese instead. So now I'm experiencing food guilt barely two days into the program. (added a picture with the remainder of my review because of character count)
