The registration process was fairly quick, although there was a little sales pitch, paired with the urgency of an expiring "deal" that I had to sit through. I can't fault them, they've got to build their business, but I'm not a fan of sales pitches. The hip hop class itself was outstanding! The instructor was energetic but also made it easy enough for us novices to follow along. At the conclusion of the class, I was sufficiently sweaty and tired, which sounds like a good workout to me. I'm not sure that I'm ready to sign up for a gym membership, but it was a nice visit.

The staff here have been nothing short of professional, warm, and helpful. The gym feels clean and open and even at its busiest hours, you can almost always find machines open or room to do your own workouts without waiting for something to clear up. The cafe has delicious food and protein shakes, and plenty of offerings if you're looking for something less hefty but still guilt free for your food restrictions. I love Life Time and it's helped elevate my experience as a gym rat. ;)

Doing a superset or circuit training is tricky because bench press and leg press machines are far from the free weights. I would switch that up a bit so it's easier to do a superset. Right now, I have to carry over a couple sets of bars and free weights to the bench press area, and then cart it all back. I guess it gives me an extra workout, but it's a pain for other guests. I'm sure they can move some things around to work out the kinks. I do like the new open turf areas that let me jump from weights to burpees. All of the equipment is old and dated, the lighting is like cafeteria lighting, and the guy working the front desk didn't even offer to tell us where everything was after him getting our day pass enabled. Common sense would tell you we don't know where anything is if we're using a day pass. This place is so gross, we will not be getting a membership here.

Finally, I had all my kids kicked off my credit card and there was still a charge. We figured out it was in my husbands' name (long story ) since he didn't know he had it he had never gone. Turns out we had an email from Vasa in the spring of 2020 saying, "we stopped your account (quarantine time) we won't start up your account until you come back in and start it." Despite what this emial said Vasa started charging again for over 3 years before we figured it out. It was a hassle to stop and they wouldn't refund out money or anything. They are trash. I sent the email of proof and they just didn't care. They get away with unlawful action because all the little people (me) don't have time to fight for nearly 2k $$$. My husband would have been happy with a credit in the form of a membership. Instead, I will put this review everywhere possible.

Honestly did not have a very positive experience at Puré Barre Sandy. The instructors are super…read morenice, however what made it a negative experience was that two times I arrived 1 minute before class started and the door was already closed. And both times I was made felt bad and unwelcome when asking if I could still go in when the class had technically not even started. One of the times I was told "I am not sure because my manager is in class today." After these events I was told we had to be 5 min early to class to be able to join, however in the agreement that was emailed to me that was never stated, it even stated in PRINT you could be up to 5 min late. I was told it would be updated with that new information for future customers. Then on Sep.21, all panicking to not be 5 min early, I go to class EARLY for Empower class which is one of the ones you HAVE to be early for and then we don't start until 6:35 (5min late) because we are apparently "waiting for people" because "they could be in traffic". So certain people can be late, certain can't. And then you get charged or lose a class credit if you don't make it even if you try but show up and are late. Don't bother trying to call to let them know you will be late, still can't come in. Or so I was told this morning when I called because of the rain and traffic. This type of rigidness and disparity is personally just not for me. Additionally there is not a lot of ethnic diversity and the class times are limited and did not work very well with my schedule. Unless you don't have a job and can go in the morning or before 7pm this place is probably not for you. My personal experience, however glad that other people can enjoy it. Still in the 3 month contract so 2 of the months I haven't even gone despite having it paid. I personally just don't feel comfortable going there. However maybe it can be different for you:)

I came to Karve wanting to be more toned, become strong but not bulky, get better posture, and to have a workout that challenges me without being high-impact or rough on my joints. All of those wishes have come true with Karve, and I have lost extra weight as well. It has also significantly increased my core strength-- it shows in the way I do other exercises, my posture, and how my clothes now fit better. Every day is a little bit different and each instructor has their own teaching style, so the workouts are never repetitive. The environment is so supportive and I always look forward to seeing familiar faces in class. I drive all the way from Provo to Lindon to attend these classes because they are simply that stellar. The owner Brooke is also really nice and she has done an incredible job creating the perfect workout environment.
