I was invited to attend a hip hop class as a guest on a friend's account, so my review is from a guest perspective, not a member. Read it with that in mind. The registration process was fairly quick, although there was a little sales pitch, paired with the urgency of an expiring "deal" that I had to sit through. I can't fault them, they've got to build their business, but I'm not a fan of sales pitches. The hip hop class itself was outstanding! The instructor was energetic but also made it easy enough for us novices to follow along. At the conclusion of the class, I was sufficiently sweaty and tired, which sounds like a good workout to me. I'm not sure that I'm ready to sign up for a gym membership, but it was a nice visit. read more

Please pay attention to the reviews here. I didn't and I got charged $450 dollars for one hour training sessions that I never took because they are mid day and I have a job. I contacted the PT Manager, Kayla, and she put in for a refund for me, then a month later told me it had been approved and a month after that said their records show I took the one hour sessions. Its pretty clear that robbing people of their hard earned money is part of their MO down there. DO NOT GO HERE. Go to any other gym. ANY other Gym will likely treat you better than this nightmare. read more

So I have to say this is my very least favorite jam. One being the biggest the music is blasting so loud, you can't even hear yourself think, let alone your headphones. The staff is beyond horrible when you ask them nicely to turn it down, they throw you an attitude, their trainers, don't look like they even work out, let alone could give you advice. Eos is actually terrifying. Aside from the gyms being overcrowded and badly maintained, I went in to have my membership downgraded. They gave me a hard time and were kind of rude, but agreed. Then the next month, charged me the wrong amount. Went back in and once again asked for the downgrade. Asked to talk to a manager to make sure it happened. Manager refused to come talk to me because she doesn't "deal" with downgrades. Kid at the desk assured me he did it. Next month guess what? No downgrade. I've now put in to cancel my membership entirely. This place is scary shady and I will never do business with them again. read more

I left a review two weeks ago about the amazing registration experience. Today was my first day working out at Sandy and it was just as awesome. People saying hello and have a great workout and a helpful staff greeting with smiles making one feel welcome. It's Saturday morning and the place is full of people of all ages and body types getting in work. No one clowning just peeps working on their fitness. Lots of machines and multiple legs presses, calf machines. belt squat etc... The locker room is clean, the restroom is clean, the showers are clean. This location gets it! Well done Sandy. This place used to be awesome, started coming about 8 months ago but in that las 3 or so months they've seen a major decline. Staff tends to be unhelpful except for a select few. Towels are never stocked, and hot tub hasn't been more than like warm for the last four or so times I've gone which has been over the span of a few months. Finally decided to cancel membership after being falsely charged for 90 dollars in pre workout I did not purchase. Luckily they were able to file for a refund which took a few weeks to process. Real bummer had good memories here but no longer worth the money or time. read more

These people are thieves, they forcefully signed me up for a personal training that I didn't ask for, ask them to cancel four times because my trainer was trying to tell me how to eat and how to work out, I've been working out for 15 years. I am 510 size 6. I don't need help with workout or meal plan. I had a stroke that has caused the left side, numbness and balance issues and I asked for a specialist that can help me with that and I was assigned with a 20-year-old kid they have charged my account $700 to this day for a personal training that I never received. read more

She alone was wonderful during this process, but apparently whoever the two men were that my boyfriend and I tried to cancel with initially, only actually canceled my boyfriend's membership and not mine. If I could give EOS as a whole negative stars I would. Not only did I get scammed out of a big chunk of change because of this place but "cancellation" from this place they say is easy. Bullshit! I had to cancel, then change my card because no matter what they keep charging. Now once a day I get automated calls about how I must've accidentally changed my card number and they don't want me to miss out. I cancelled my membership but they just keep calling over and over. I can call back and get an hour long robot conversation going nowhere. This is the first time I've ever had such horrible experience with any kind of membership. I talked to one human during my cancellation. I called my local gym and they transferred me to someone out of the country. It's disappointing that a company as big as EOS will still fraudulently charge your card and give you the run around for months, after we have requested multiple times to stop the training sessions! And they make getting reimbursed almost impossible!! I have been asking for my PT sessions to end and I have yet to see any communication or assistance. To top things off, they charged my card again! I am now disputing everything with my credit card company since no one at EOS cares. You call and ask for a manager and get constantly told no one is available, how is that possible? I really do love this gym. I'm only giving it 3 stars, because they do not listen to feedback in person and always refer me to leaving a review online. So here it is: Pros Good facility and great machines Open 24/7 to allow for flexibility Amazing classes and instructors Cons Front desk staff doesn't listen to live feedback and there's never a manager so they refer to online reviews I'm not sure they ever clean the group fitness rooms, leaving members to clean before and after classes The cardio cinema only plays Marvel, Disney and Star Wars. For the last 6 months they've played a Star Wars marathon every month! Has the person making this schedule ever marathon trained during one of those action scenes? It's miserable. This gym has very modern equipment; however, the massage room gets very stinky! I called to report the stinky massage room. The lady at the front desk said: It is bad and it gets worse in the summer. Then she laughed. She said: I will go spray pink puff in the room! The air in the massage room gets very toxic! An air purifier would help greatly. Many covid19 survivors have lost their sense of smell, but toxic air is not healthy to breathe. Hopefully, if enough people report this to the health department the problem could be resolved. There will always be a few stinky people who go into the gym. Good circulation, a fan, an air purifier & a cleaning team can solve this stinky problem! read more

TLDR: The personal training program is poorly run and it is absolutely impossible to cancel once you sign up. Its predatory and it feels deliberately designed to be difficult to get out of it. The trainer I was originally assigned to, Cassidy, told me during our first session that she didn't have the capacity to take me on, so she would actually be re-assigning me. Once I was assigned to the new trainer, Jocee, I had to repeatedly ask for a program to be uploaded to my app so I could follow it on the days we didn't meet in-person. It took 3 full weeks and talking to a manager, Mitch, to finally get a workout program uploaded. I only actually met with this second trainer twice. The third time we were supposed to meet, she cancelled on me with less than 10 minutes notice when I was literally in the parking lot. The next week, she texted me to tell me she was no longer working on Fridays and asked if I could meet on Tuesday/Thursday instead. This didn't make a lot of sense, since my workout plan had always been to complete workouts on my own on Monday/Wednesday and meet with her on Fridays. Tuesday/Thursday never worked for me and I had made it clear with 2 trainers now that I could only meet up at a consistent weekly time on Friday afternoons because of my work schedule. At this point, feeling incredibly frustrated with the lack of any consistency with a trainer and not wanting to get assigned a 3rd new trainer, I decided to try to cancel. I submitted the online cancellation request and heard nothing. Then I was charged again, so I went into the gym to ask if my cancellation had been received. I spoke to Aubrey at the front desk and she confirmed that it had been received and said that I had been notified that no action could be taken until the most recent payment had processed. I let her know that I had never been notified of that and asked how it said in their system that they had reached out to me (email, text? I never got it). She didn't address my question and just told me that since that payment had now processed, she would resubmit the request. I told her that sounded great and asked for an email address so I could follow up with her. I was charged again and so I emailed her to ask about it. She took 3 business days to respond and only asked what the phone number associated to my account was. I responded the same day with my phone number. After a week of no response and another charge, I emailed her again asking to be directed to her manager. It's been another week of silence and so I am now disputing the charges with my credit card company instead. Overall, everything about the personal training experience at EOS has been terrible. I came in motivated and excited to get started and have some extra support and accountability. Instead, I have been passed around and canceled on and have had to literally hound them to get anything accomplished. It is infuriating and an absolute waste of money. I am still being charged for services not rendered. The facilities are great and I hope to continue to workout here on my own, but I do hope my story reaches management to enact some much needed changes, and in the meantime that it serves as a cautionary tale to anyone considering the personal training program. FRAUD!!!! GABE LIES AND IS NOT PROFESSIONAL. Tried to get a day pass to try the gym and Gabe had recommended that I get the 1$ trial as it would be cheaper and give me access for a couple days. After 2 days trying out the gym I had decided it was not for me and asked them to cancel while I was there and they told me it was cancelled. A couple weeks later I received a bill for $110 (the annual fee). After getting the bill I called to cancel AGAIN, the team working then told me again they would cancel. I have now been billed for 3 months of memberships and called 7 times and visited the facility twice and been LIED TO EVERY SINGLE TIME. THIS BUSINESS SHOULD LOSE EVERY LICENSE. read more

You're thinking I'm just gonna check out the gym then BOOM you're sat down at a literal desk with a computer, and you try to explain that you just wanted to check it out. They were insanely pushy and even made me give them my license while I worked out! That's all fine and dandy BUT then after your workout you are sat down once more. You're sweaty and want to leave. I'm sitting with James at his desk and he then tells me I can just do a free trial of seven days after talking for a couple minutes. To me the free trial sounds okay with a five dollar start up fee. I pay that fee and sign papers thinking I was singing up for a seven day trial, and James made it clear he'd leave a note on my profile so they would know I'm doing a free trial! I went back six days later to cancel my seven day trial! But this guy named Isisiah said it would be 80 dollars to cancel!! I asked to see James but they said he was gone! I was shook and when we called them again, they still hadn't dropped the charges and James was nowhere to be found! Even after telling them about how I was deceived :( Overall I was excited about it but now I will never step foot in there again!! read more

Have the same complaint as Nathan P. Signed up for the Sandy, UT location in January. The location did not open till April. I checked the location a few times and it was not operational yet. I was told that I would need to "VERIFY" my account once they opened. I gave up checking to see if the location to see if it was opened after a few months of checking. Apparently they finally opened in April & started charging me at that point. There was misleading verbiage during the origional signing and according to the manager "VERIFYING" my account is only to make sure all my billing information is up to date & not to "VERIFY" my membership. I had to change my CC# due to fraud, this caused their collection agency to start calling. Now they are threatening to send me to collections for a service I wasn't aware I was a member of. They said that I owe for July, can cancel now in August, but will have to pay for September too. This will be sent to the BBB. read more

I can't believe I'm saying this but Planet Fitness is better. This place was so hyped (great marketing) but I hate it here. It's always crowded with HS kids who are loud and disrespectful. Patrons don't care to clean up after themselves, the spray bottles don't work, and if you don't have a smart phone - you can't take advantage of any of the "perks" (massage chairs, towel service, classes) bc it's all tied to a bar code and the employees insist "corporate" wants it this way. How would this work for people who can't afford a smart phone or are visually disabled?! Nothing in the contract you sign says it's required for a black membership client to have to have a smart phone. Pool doesn't seem ever crowded so if ur a swimmer, that's seemingly advantageous. This is going to become another Vasa, so however you feel about that place, it's gonna happen as soon as the equipment gets tattered and ripped. read more

This gym is a scam. I signed up for stretch sessions. Once the amount was paid up the stretch manager was great to call me and tell me I'm all paid in full. I also had a four month training. At that four month mark thy never closed this out after the four months and kept charging me to the tune of $600+. Went in to the Sandy gym to talk to the manager, Mitch, he wouldn't even help me out with this or help to direct me to corporate. I went into the gym to talk to their manager, Mitch, with no avail, he avoids me, what a joke. I emailed corporate and they said all charges are valid. LIES. I'm calling this as theft, fraud, liars. was in utah visiting, went in for a day pass and was told by management I can sign up for a month for the same price so I did. they did not tell me there was annual membership fee and a 30 day cancel policy. so instead of $25 I was charged $130. Compared to the other EOS in the area, this one is by far my favorite! It has two turf areas, two dumbbell areas, two sets of large cable equipment, and a good amount of platforms, and machines. It's a lot less crowded then other locations I've been no matter the time you go. They have a movie room, cold therapy, a pool and sauna and all around is a great bang for your buck! Great gym with minor flaws I've been a member here since they opened last year. Before they opened I had never been a regular gym goer, but EōS was great to get me from never going to 4x a week. I started with their magnetic smart machines, graduated to the weight machines, and finally to free weights. Eos had it lots of every machine to get me through the whole process. For comparisons sake, I did try another gym in this area and the number and variety of machines they had was abysmal. The only downsides to eos is it gets crowded so sometimes you have to wait for the machines you need during their peak hours, and they don't have as many amenities as some other gyms. read more

Everything is fine except I fitness for two nights when they use gas powered pressure washer for cleaning the pool area. I would not have a problem if it was an outdoor pool. But in indoor one it made you to inhale all the smoke and we had to leave abruptly. it worth to consider electric one. read more

Gym is great and sauna/pool area stays clean and well maintained. Only issue I have is twice I've been in the sauna/pool and the cleaners show up with a gas powered power washer, while it gets the job done after 5 minutes you feel like you've your huffing gas straight from a tail pipe. Invest in an electric power washer please!!!!! read more
