I cannot say enough about this gym, the owner Julie, and the amazing staff. I have tried it ALL over the years trying to achieve the look I was after; from distance running, to gym classes, Pilates, HIIT, CrossFit, and in my 30s decided I had just reached a point in my life and my metabolism where I just must not be able to eat anymore--but NOTHING I was doing was giving me the results I wanted. I went in to meet with Julie and loved the personalized attention this gym provides. It's so much more than just personal training, but a personalized way of life that works for YOU, helping you towards the goals only YOU want to achieve, and with much of the things you already do and foods already included in your diet. They ask questions about your usual habits and outline an easy plan that includes a lot of your usual routine with healthy tweaks and tips. And you don't have to starve! Dairy isn't forbidden! Starch isn't forbidden! Nearly everything can find a place in your diet. Your daily food choices are reviewed by the training staff with helpful daily feedback and suggestions. It keeps things interesting and really helps keep you accountable. Yesterday was my 4 week check up where my measurements were taken to assess my progress. I weighed in at 152# on day 1 of this journey and had set out to lose (at least) 17#. I was very pleased to find that after just 8 sessions in 4 weeks that I had lost 9# and 4% of my body fat. I have not been this weight or this size in MANY years. The 9# lost mean THE WORLD to me, since I was FINALLY losing some of the stubborn excess weight I had never been able to shed on my own despite my numerous efforts. It really motivates me to continue my efforts towards the remaining 8#. I am no longer nervous about pool plans with friends and don't feel like I need to hide big arms or cover up my legs. This gym is very realistic about your goals and what to expect. They are so helpful and so motivating. Everyone there is doing their personalized work out to achieve their individual goals. With my distance running I became bored and my results leveled off and I couldn't stand planning my week around long runs. I also found my weight loss quickly plateaued and my results were limited. With gym classes, HIIT and Pilates, I didn't feel challenged enough and also had limited results. With CrossFit I felt like one of many, and didn't feel my goals were the same as everyone else in my classes. I hated the changes I was seeing in my body and quickly became frustrated with injuries and my appearance. Fit180 is the first time I have had a program that worked with the appearance *I* was after, and I am already halfway to my long time goal in 4 weeks. This is compared to being stuck in a rut FOR YEARS of trying everything else with none of the desired results I was after. I cannot recommend this gym enough to anyone who is looking for a SERIOUS change and to truly transform themselves and their lives. It is a commitment and is an investment IN YOU, and is well worth it when you realize that the results you never thought possible become attainable. I just recently started going to Fit180. This is the first time I've used a personal training service. I originally met with the owner Julie and it was clear that she wants to help her clients hit their fitness goals. The service also comes with nutritional counseling/ guidance(which is really important). Each time you go in you likely will get a different trainer but I've had no issue with this since everyone keeps track of your exact workouts and all the trainers are knowledgeable and encouraging. The gym itself is clean and has all the basic equipment necessary to help you. It's really nice that when you workout you will likely be the only one in the gym (or maybe one more gym-goer tops) so it truly is a personalized experience. In the two months I've been there I've seen strong results and my friends have noticed my muscle increase. The only thing that I'd caution you about is that it is a little pricey but it is a premium service that you are paying for. Overall I've had a positive experience at Fit180 and would recommend it to anyone looking to get into better shape. read more
