Jason took the time to find out what type of running I was looking to do and what features were important to me. He then presented several option that met my needs that were at various price points. He then took the time to explain the difference in price pointing out key features like better construction, higher grade materials and base manufacturer's warranties. His expertise allowed my to make a decision based upon what was important to me (quality, durability and service). I returned the next day and purchased a Lifespan 4000i and will be looking to return to Jason to purchase an elliptical for my wife in the near future. I highly recommend Jason Schumann for his honesty, integrity and no pressure attitude.

We picked up and assembled, the unit is rock solid but will have a tech look at it due to a clicking sound when in use but based on the customer service I have received thus far I am not in the least concerned it will be addressed and rectified. I am in sales myself and have a high level of expectation when it comes to customer service. I can't speak for Johnson as a whole but I believe a companies values are carried through their employees. If you are looking for home equipment I would not hesitate to see the folks on the East side.

The specs were impressive, but I had questions and it was late on a Friday evening. I called a spoke to a real person who obviously knew their products! The price was right, and I had the device within 3 days! The product itself is awesome. Very well built, comfortable, easy to use. When I had a small issue, they bent over backwards to see that I was back up and running before our holiday weekend gathering. (just 2 days from request to delivery!) Years ago, we bought my older son's first snowboard and boots here and got a great deal. More often, I will hunt things down on Craigslist, but PIAS is an option I always consider. If nothing else, it's a nice place to compare my other purchases too and validate what a good deal I got. With kids involved in skiing, snowboarding, karate (sparring gear here), longboarding, golf, and well, the list goes on - it's nice to have a place to check for deals. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Not long ago, while window-shopping snowboards, they had some "50% off" stickers on boards. I asked and he said they were from a previous sale, but he'd honor it. Honestly, I think some boards are STILL labeled with those stickers... I like that they were willing to work with me. Last time there, a woman brought in some ice skates to be sharpened. The guy looked at them and said that they really didn't need it and, if he DID take them back to sharpen them, he wouldn't charge her. That was refreshing to see. When the east side store closed, all their inventory came to the west store, so their selection is really good right now.

In 2025, my husband and I purchased a Bowflex treadmill from a brick-and-mortar sporting-goods store. We had heard of the Bowflex brand decades ago, but I was not aware until now that Bowflex was purchased by Johnson Health Tech in 2024. The price of the treadmill was reasonable, and it came with a warranty. For weeks we have been using the treadmill. We like its speeds, inclines, handlebars, cup holder, screen, etcetera. It is helping us to get in physical shape. We have not experienced any problems with the treadmill. If we do have any problems with the treadmill, then I will update this review. (I empathize with the reviewers who wrote 1-star reviews.)

They were in good shape shaped and worked well to do the ride around lake Monona the team was nice to help size us for the proper bike and get us ready to go. They have helmets available if you need one. Clean restroom. It's also a fun and large Bicycle shop which we enjoyed visiting.

When I got there today, I was SHOCKED to see the condition of the 'new' bike! What a waste of 4 hours and $30 in gas. After making me wait 10 minutes for my deposit to be refunded, they offered to sell me this $2,400 bike for cost ($2,000). I wouldn't pay a penny for it! I rubbed my hand on the frame and the paint chipped off even more! I am livid that I wasn't told about the condition over the phone. Absolutely terrible business!!!

Neo and Trinity used to keep in shape using this place, but then they killed them off (lame)…read more Matrix Fitness is pretty good, and when they have options to watch digital content like Netflix or even better, they're really good, but I think Precor bikes are slightly better even though the TV quality sucks, and Cybex is definitely the best of the bunch in my experience, but these days I use a lot more Precor than Cybex and Matrix combined, not sure why.
