Workout in a sauna…read more.. Ive done Hot yoga and a few 90°+ degrees HIIT workouts. I thought this would be a good high impact amazing workout. All workouts are in individual/family size saunas. But it's all virtual. Meaning no personal feedback. Coaches dont even know your name and all positive shout outs are embarrassingly generic. At the end of the day, I didnt get a workout, I just got Hot. However, I will say, if they were to add a cold plunge, this would be an amazing recovery gym.

Also, because the saunas are so small, if you see that someone has booked the room, you don't want to be that second person who filled out that tiny space with someone you don't know. And you'd never book as the third. This means that you can't actually get the work out you want cause it's booked by that one person a lot. The DJ arrived for the class after mine so I missed out on that but I still liked the music. I noticed the gym was air conditioned which was different to mine. The instructor's were great at walking around and giving you tips on your workouts. The workout was amazing as always, it's really as hard as you decide to push yourself. So you could have an easy workout by doing body weight exercises or you could lift heavy. Easy parking in the lot up front.

Every trainer has been warm, encouraging, and truly meets you where you're at. The members are all ages, and fitness levels, which makes the space feel welcoming and inclusive instead of intimidating. You get the group fitness atmosphere and motivation, which I love, but also the attention of personal training because the groups are small, and the coaches are very attentive. The group classes are at most 8 people, so it's never too crowded and there is plenty of equipment to go around. Plus you get inspiration and motivation from the people working out around you. The owner Edgar designs the workout programs to run for 4-6. So you will be doing the same exact exercises each week until the program changes. This gives you the ability to track your progress and make improvements throughout the program. This is very different compared to other group fitness class I've done, which change the workouts each week, and there isn't as much structure or emphasis on tracking your lifts. Funktional fitness is great for anyone wanting to improve their physical fitness. It's great for the beginner and for the advanced lifter. The coaches are very knowledgeable and patient, but they will also challenge you. They have helped me out so much with my form on my lifts and given me cues that have really stuck for me. I've only been working out at Funktional for about 4 months but I've already seen more progress than I have the last year.
