I recently joined this Boot Camp class and have attended only 3 classes so far. The class starts at…read more5:30 am and is held indoors at the gym at Camden Apartments in Farmers Market in Downtown Dallas on Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays. It takes me exactly 8 mins to get there in the morning from Uptown so it works well. The classes are small and quite personal. They make sure you are doing everything properly and guide you through your weight loss or wait gain needs :) For me, its more of a support system if you want to call it that. I know they push us hard lots of times and there is no way I would work out that hard on my own unless someone was pushing me like that to keep me going. And seeing other people perform better only makes me try harder. So I am looking forward to the results in the upcoming months. But I highly recommend this class or Boot Camp for anyone looking to get in shape without a Gym commitment or contract.

I have worked with a few of the different trainers for scheduling purposes, and they all have been great. I have worked mostly with Kris Esperanza using the functional patterns concept. I went, not with the intention of setting my max bench press, but working on a long term frame work to help extend my career and gain some mobility. I had not heard of functional patterns, but I am sold. I found it to be helpful in helping with usable flexibility and posture. I noticed improvement in some areas that would get sore through a work day not being as problematic. Secondarily I was working to lose weight and was able to accomplish that as well. The body scan was helpful to see results and track as I moved forward. I'm moving, but will be traveling back to work with Kris because of his knowledge on the subject!

After 2020 brought a myriad of new chapters in life (both professionally and personally), I figured…read moreI might as well embrace the concept of change in every aspect of my life. So I set out on an unbiased, objective search to find a new gym. I visited them all: the luxurious mega-gyms, the strip center types, the low cost models, the old school Rocky V gyms, the workout warrior "boxes," and everything in between. After seeing an ad on social media for Precision Fit Labs, I figured I would check it out. Considering most of my experience was strength training in a traditional gym (push, pull, legs, repeat) I have to admit my perception of PFL was a bit "skewed". Now in my 40s, I knew I was no longer young and stupid in the bulletproof and invincible stage. However, I wasn't ready to give in to all the new fads springing up all over DFW. Needless to say, Donnie (owner/trainer at PFL) completely shattered all my misconceptions. After a week of working out with him I realized just how subpar my previous workout regimen was. I didn't warm up properly. My form was a bit sloppy at times, which contributed to periodic muscle strains. My flexibility was atrocious. I didn't properly pair strength training with aerobic/cardiovascular activity. And, quite frankly, I had forgotten how to have fun while working out in a more accountable setting. Fast forward to current day, I now wonder why it took me so long to enter the 21st century of fitness. PFL is now family and I've never felt better. My energy levels are sky high; I've gained some flexibility (still a ways to go though); my muscle tone and core are more defined; I no longer have those minor "ailments" that make me feel my age; and I actually enjoy the culture and camaraderie of working out with other people again. I can't recommend Precision Fit Labs enough. The equipment and gym are state of the art. The people are great. The trainers are knowledgeable and adapt workouts to the individual. For as challenging as 2020 was, I'm thankful it brought me to PFL. Onward!
