The instructors at Heritage Muay Thai are carefully selected and trained to provide high-quality instruction and it 100% shows. At EVERY level as well. Each coach practices what they preach and care even more when you put in the effort. You can also learn from members that go there as well, but that's just an example of the environment there is(great). I could go on and on but my best advice is to just go if you want to not only get the highest quality/level training in Muay Thai, Kickboxing, Boxing, BJJ, or MMA but you'll unlock your potential in other aspects in life as well.

Had the chance to "let" my 12 year old Monster-in-the-making secure submissions on his old man (me) at a 3 to 1 ratio (in his favor lol). It is pretty well known that BJJ just plain works. P.S.: I said "let" only because I agreed to get on the mat with him... I didn't "allow" him to get a submission until we had been at it (rolling) for about 20 min... and that was after five min of stretching and ten minutes of informal drills. He finally wore me out toward the end and got his last one (of 3, after I basically gave up, gassed out (yes I need to take better care of myself), but he got the first two righteously. BTW I weigh 218 he weighs 138. Great sport/martial art, great place to learn it. Thanks team!

I started as a 6 week challenger and I converted to a membership only because I literally cannot live without these workouts and the awesome community at ILKB. I've always had a hard time to stick to some sort of working out and though I've wanted to be healthy I've always started something and given up. This changed when I join I Love Kickboxing Houston Heights. From my very first day, the instructors were so so so supportive, the classes were so fun and I was hooked. Being in the 6 week challenge, I had the best accountability coach - Shoutout to Coach Faith!! And the meal plan which was a part of the package truly helped me so much in correcting my diet. I realized before the meal plan I barely had any protein in my diet. I'm so thankful for the guidance I got. I am a cancer survivor and have been in remission so I've always been shy of going to gyms because of my lack of strength from chemo and side effects from radiation. ILKB is such an accepting and judgement free community. Because of how comfortable I am at the class I have seen such a massive change in myself and my confidence. From knowing nothing about kickboxing to confidently doing back fists like nobody's business - I have come a long way. I used to have so much fatigue before and since I've started coming to class i feel so energetic throughout the day. My body and my mind have never felt better. I cannot recommend this place enough!!!! GO JOIN TODAY. It will change your life.

I came back because of how strong the community was and how good it felt to train here. After 6+ years away, the coaches welcomed me back like I had never left and made me feel like I belonged. I now actively train both BJJ and Kickboxing here at Elite Greenway. I have met so many kind, smart, and athletic people of all ages and backgrounds since starting, which is credit to the positive leadership and family community that Hai, Cruz, Jose, and many others have built over the years. I learn something new every day and am pushed to improve while smiling because I'm working hard and having fun. All of the instructors and classes for BJJ, Muay Thai, and Kickboxing are top notch. There is a high level of skill and wide range of skill sets on the mats, and a care to build everyone's game and confidence, whether you're just starting out or more advanced. The workouts will get you in the best shape of your life. Cardio and strength. Eliud Kipchoge has endurance. Brian Shaw has power. Elite's ab circuit is coming for both. Plus, the facility is well maintained, equipment regularly upgraded, and clean. I highly recommended this organization and this location!

The reception lady was super nice and gave good info but the gym itself just sucks to be honest. I scheduled my first class today at 5:30 am. In my head, class should start at 5:30 am. Issue number one was when I booked it I was told I would get a confirmation text about my visit. Nothing! I checked my email. Nothing! So I still show up. She said be there 5-10 mins early I get that at 5:22 am. The whole gym is closed and no one there. I wait a bit because I used to work at a gym and I know sometimes people can be late. Guess what?! A white car pulls up. I'm like cool another student. Nope! Some white man who looked like he just got out of bed and gets out of his car. Does he greet me? Does he say he give me a moment let me get the gym set up? Nope! Just looks pissed off he's up super early and looks miserable and looks like he just rolled out of bed. Honestly I waited another 4-5 mins seeing if he would kind of get out of hiding. Nope just never saw him again. Saw the gym lights on. Didn't even see him unlock the door. Went missing for quite sometime. So I just left. This was supposed to be my first class visit and it completely was not what I was expecting. I'm pretty active already. Today I was going to rest more after slowly getting over something I caught from Labor Day weekend and was excited to try something to as a workout. But this place really is a disappointment.

The first thing that drew me to MMA was my desire to learn self defense. The first thing that drew…read moreme to actually considering pursuing a class was the convenient location of Midtown MMA. The first thing that drew me to actually contacting Midtown MMA was the 30 day free trial. The first thing that drew me to actually showing up was getting a call from Chris about an hour after I submitted my form online. The first thing that drew me to sign up full time was after the first class when I realized that Midtown MMA was more than I could have hoped for! After a few short months, Midtown MMA has helped boost my confidence in my physical and mental ability to defend myself. You build on the physical side during the first part of the class where Chris leads you through a "warm-up" which is more like a mini boot-camp that leaves you with a good burn. The mental and physical side is continually built through the second portion of class as you work on muscle memory routines, perfecting techniques, following drills, and self guided practice. The great thing about Midtown MMA is that your motivation doesn't come from someone yelling at you, it comes from the everyone else giving it there all and encouraging you to test your limits. Everyone is there to learn the proper techniques and advanced students are more than will to give and take constructive criticism when working in teams. There are a good mix of males and females of all different physical capabilities which lead to good match-ups during the drills. No one is there to judge you, I have never had that feeling even when I thought I must look pretty goofy. Chris is an awesome instructor who keeps the class relaxed but professional and directed. He's good about gauging what each student needs to focus on during the drills - technique or power - and making corrections for individual students during the drills. He is interested in the needs of the class and will reserve certain sessions to address student questions. It is easy to have a lot of respect for Chris. This helps make you accountable and give you that extra boost to show up for training on the (rare!) occasion that you may be less motivated to do so. If you decide to sign up and pay, I believe you pick a 6 month or one year program. I think it averages to about $12 a class. I'm doing this with my husband and we were able to work our a 2 for less than 2 kinda deal.
