Pros: location is fantastic as we live in fishhawk and texture wise, great and fresh Cons: tasteless, we had the everything and whole wheat.. neither had any taste to it.. very blah.. we are all about supporting local businesses but it has to taste good not just blah... not savory nor sweet like a New York bagel or even a Dunkin' Donuts bagel. You know a bagel is good when you eat it just plain and it makes you keep coming back for more.. not these.. one bite and the texture is good but the blahness just irritates us. I typically love Fishhawk Bagels; however, the last few visits have left me with no bagels. I've noticed when the drive thru is long they " just ran out" of whatever your order is. I tried 3 different bagel & spread combos and strangely they " just ran out" is the response. I'm not sure of this is a strategy to just get the drive-thru to move quicker. But it's definitely become a pattern that I've noticed with this business. read more

They have some of the best bagels in the area. I was apprehensive about their boiled bagel method but after trying them I know I was wrong. The bagels are always very fresh and plenty of delicious cream cheese is added. Their other bakery items such as cookies and pastries are amazing also. Highly recommended! read more

Love these bagels!! So many options for bagels, cream cheeses, melts, and sandwiches. Everything I have tried has been really good and when I've gone through the drive thru it has always been pretty fast, too. I would recommend the Italian melt or the bacon egg and cheese bagel sandwich - but everything is good!! They are always very nice and give doggy bagels if you have your dog in the car when you go through the drive thru. The only complaint I have is that sometimes I have a hard time getting them to answer the phone if I try to call ahead my order. read more

They seem to be getting worse as the years go by instead of better. The bagels are bland, regardless of toppings. The worse part though is the utter inefficiency the place runs with. It is not unusual to walk in with a line of 5 people in front of you and wait 30 minutes before your sitting down. They have each staff take your order, then that same person makes it. So no one staff gets efficient at any item, including the register. If you want a bagel, it's better than Dunkin', but come really early and leave time in your schedule to wait around even when they are not busy. read more

First impression was not so good. Are these employees depressed? Maybe it's the area and they're used to dealing with obnoxious rich white people but I figured they should at least look happy. Kinda sucks when as a customer you come in happy to try a place in your new neighborhood and you're not treated with a smile. For a bagel place they are expensive. They're good but not as good as my old spot Brandon Bagels which has more bagel options and better prices. For now, this will have to do. Maybe my next visit will be more pleasant and I'll update my review. This was a very cool place with friendly staff and inviting atmosphere. I got the bacon, tomato, melt on an everything bagel and it was DELICIOUS! I also got a lemon ginger tea, spiced chai tea latte, and sugar cookie to share with my sisters all of which were very good. My only complaint was that one of my sisters has an egg allergy and was unable to eat anything here. But overall a very good experience. read more

Horrible customer service - no grill - ordered a bacon egg and cheese on a honey oat bran bagel. I received a plain bagel with a regular egg (I am allergic to egg yolk). When I returned to the establishment to advise of the incorrect order. I was told that I must pay for another order and it's not their fault. I asked if they could deduct what I previously paid for and offered to give them back the incorrect sandwich in exchange. Instead I was told by the grill person and the cashier that I must pay for a new order and it's not their fault that I received the incorrect sandwich. That's not logical. How much of a loss would they have taken? First experience is now the worst experience. I expected upscale client service being that it's in Fishhawk. This is my absolute favorite place to get a bagel in the Tampa area. Closest thing I can find to the bagels I grew up on in NY. The staff is so friendly. They make everything to order. Negative 5 Stars!!!! The Management and employees should be FIRED!!! Marya (Manager) REFUSED my 3 year old daughter the bathroom, because my wife was not going to purchase something at the moment. We have been to the very small and below average facility numerous time over the years we have lived here in Fishhawk. (Supporting our local businesses) BTW...there was only one person sitting in the restaurant...so they were NOT busy. I REFUSE to use this restaurant ever again....and will encourage every Military member, Law Enforcement, Educator or any resident of the local community from visiting FISHHAWK BAGELS ever again. What manager REFUSES a 3 year old from using the restroom.....buying something or not....what kind of Mother/Woman would refuse a small child the restroom with her mother holding them??? The Manager (Marya) should be ashamed of herself! Coming from New York, it is going to be very hard for us to find good bagels down here. When I saw the assortment of cream cheeses available, I thought the place may be okay. However, the bagels are an epic fail. I think Lenders bagels may actually taste better than these. We ordered egg and cheese sandwiches. Local, fresh made daily, good prices, great options, very friendly service. Definitely a great start here. Looking forward to continued and frequent visits to this location. Now living right down the street it is a blessing to have such a good little bagel/coffee shop to go to. And many good options of types of coffee including a favorite of my wife and mine the cafe con leche. Also some tasty smoothies which is a plus when I got the 5 year old daughter in tow, now she can enjoy a treat there as well. Only tried the tomato basil bagel melt so far (which was great), but looks like there is tons of other options there available to keep the variety of tastes and meals going. My only suggestion is possibly better logistics. As a man and a family that is always on the go and fully loaded schedule day after day a quick in and out experience would better this place. Especially if wanting to roll through the drive thru. I was stuck in a non moving line before I decided to go inside and waited a good amount of time there too. It certainly would increase my motivation to make more frequent stops here if things can be made more efficient. I know this is a classic mom and pop local small business type place but a possible technological upgrade would do some major justice. Time to put down the old pen and paper and invest in some tablets or monitors and better logistics, efficiency, and even help with inventory tracking and ordering so every thing is Stream lined and accurate. And most places work better with assembly line or stations and not round robin service. Although the service was great and friendly, I can easily identify how a better structure, flow, and system upgrades could greatly improve production here. read more
