He gave me his honest opinion about what will work based on his experience and also what he has tried in his own home. -When Harun came out (he wore a mask), he was spot on with his recommendations and provided me with 4 great options. I later received an email quote from Brandon in the office for all 4 and was advised that sample fabrics were being sent through the mail. -I opted for the Hunter Douglas Vertiglides for the doors. - Be advised that due to Covid, the Hunter Douglas factory is operating with a reduced staff so the treatments were delivered a little after the 5-6 week timeframe. Harun was great with calling to keep me updated. -The installer, Kirk, was professional, prompt and friendly. The doors look beautiful! Harun and Brandon were knowledgeable, friendly and communicative. I highly recommend Grand Valley Window Coverings.

I had an absolutely awful experience after having Colin Grant come to my residence to give me a…read morequote, and it was so beyond disgusting and unprofessional that I cannot go without leaving a review so that hopefully this never happens to any innocent person requesting a quote for their home ever again. I requested a quote for shutters installed for the whole house. Colin Grant came at 11:30 am to give us an estimate, and showed us the samples after sitting down at my dining room table. When he got up to measure our windows, I noticed that the fabric seat of my dining room chair was soaking wet after he got up, and I quietly informed my wife. I wasn't sure why he had soaked the chair or how, but I digress. He continued, measuring two windows before asking if he may use the restroom. He went to our guest bathroom and came out about 15 minutes later and said thank you, and continued measuring. Nothing was too abnormal at this point. He gave us our estimate, we thanked him and he left. He also pushed the chair back into the table before leaving. We noticed this, and in hindsight it is clear he was trying to hide how he had soaked our dining room chair. Later, when my wife went to the guest bathroom, she finally saw the worst of what he had done. We don't know if he had an accident, or what his excuse may be, but what's most disgusting is his lack of acknowledgement of what he had done to our bathroom. The bathroom had feces all over the toilet cover, toilet seat, on the walls, on the floor, and on the surface and sides of the toilet paper roll to the point where we had to throw it away. You cannot make this disgusting scenario up. We could tell he had attempted to hide this, smearing the poop and staining everything even more. Colin Grant left his fecal matter all over my guest bathroom and completely ignored it, acting as if nothing had happened when he left the restroom. A simple "I'm sorry, I had an accident" or "I didn't mean to make this mess, what cleaning supplies do you have for me to clean it up" would've been better than what he did. Complete radio silence. My wife spent hours angrily cleaning our now disgusting bathroom of the mess he made. We have both tried calling him separately to demand an apology and retribution for the cleaning required for this disgusting mess. He did not answer all day. My sister in law called him later in the day and he did answer, only for him to hang up on my wife when she angrily told him about how disturbing this situation was and how nasty he is for coming into what he said was a "beautiful home" (his words) only to paint our bathroom with his poop. We do not care what the circumstances of this accident was; it is disgusting that he would not acknowledge his mistake and own up to the mess he made under our hospitality. We demand acknowledgement of this situation and we warn you to never request a quote from this company, especially not from Colin Grant, until this is resolved and this company takes care of the lack of accountability present in its employees.

Southwest Sun Screens was one of my first calls based on their strong reviews and excellent feedback. I knew the moment Ryan answered the phone that I was talking with someone who genuinely cared about his company and earning my business. Ryan answered all my questions and offered solutions and ideas based on his extensive experience. It was like talking with a trusted friend who is an expert in his field. He came to the house exactly when he said he would and we talked "everything screens and windows". He is super knowledgeable and friendly and was willing to share best practices and his best results so that our screens were exactly what we wanted. He measured multiple times to ensure everything was perfect and would fit tight. The doors that the screens are going into are custom, and therefore not exactly, perfectly straight and square, though you would never know by looking at them. He helped us decide on the fabric, the frame, the design and the clips to hold the screens in place, always guiding us using our happiness as his barometer, which I really appreciated. Ryan and his partner came back to do the install and arrived exactly when they said they would. The screens didn't quite fit, too tight (no good deed goes unpunished, right? He wanted them tight) and he was beyond apologetic and explained exactly what had happened. He said he felt bad and wanted to get it right for us, but that he would do whatever it takes to remake the screens without costing us an additional penny, and even said if we decided we didn't want them, he would understand. I truly wasn't upset about this at all, there will be glitches with everything, that's not the question, the question is "how does the company handle it?" Ryan couldn't have handled it better, again, keeping our happiness and satisfaction "top of mind." You just don't find this type of caring service very often. He remeasured several more times and we discussed exactly what he would modify to make it work for us. He returned precisely when he said he would, always texting to let me know he was on his way, with the new screens, got them all installed, even installed some weatherstripping I had purchased to shore up a small gap from the door not being 100% square. They look incredible. I couldn't ask for more in terms of quality, timeliness, conscientiousness, care and honesty. I highly recommend Southwest Sun Screens to anyone and everyone, even if you're just shopping around, call and speak with Ryan and he will make you feel like family. The good kind of family, not the "annoying relative on Thanksgiving" kind :-)
