I've now been here four times so this review is based off a lot of experiences. I've sat outside three times and inside once. I love the outdoor patio. It's very welcoming and has great seating options. The inside is warm, cozy, but a little too dark.
This year I visited in both April twice and mid-December. In April, the service was great on the patio. I was with friends for happy hour and our server refilled our waters. Asked us about refills promptly and our appetizers came out faster than expected. The second time I visited with co-workers, it was night and day. It took 30 minutes to get a round of waters for 6 people. Then, another 30 minutes for drinks...on a Tuesday night. We ordered appetizers and our main courses and it took two more hours. The restaurant wasn't even that busy. The food is good, but very out of touch. To upgrade to a wedge salad is $5, a total rip off.
I came back in December and decided to give another try. This time we sat inside it was Saturday at 8:30pm and I had been traveling all day. We arrived at the restaurant and had to wait 20 minutes for a table, even though they weren't all full. We sat down and our server greeted the table who sat after us, before us. Ok, no big deal, but then took 15 minutes to get our drink orders. We all had the unlimited salads to start our meals and the unlimited bread. There were four of us and the guy brought out three slices of something that looked nothing like the bread in the photos or the past experiences. When I asked about refills, or enough for all four of us, he literally said, I think we ran out. Never followed up on it or anything.
We ate our salads, got more water, I ordered a glass of wine and it took over 15 minutes. We all got our meals ribeye with fully loaded baked potato, unlimited shrimp meal, shrimp cocktail and I got the shrimp and chicken with side of cheesy broccoli. The shrimp was great. The chicken looked charred way too much, so I just asked for butter and mixed it with the broccoli.
We got our meals around 9:37pm. After 15 minutes, we were all done eating. I was the only one with a drink (a glass of wine) everyone else only had water. Our waiter asked if we wanted dessert, we said no and would like boxes. After 15 more minutes, I went to the front and asked where our server was. Will was nowhere to be found. He finally came back to our table at 10:25pm and my email receipt is at 10:30pm. My dinner was $28 for shrimp, chicken and cheesy broccoli- I'd rate the meal a 3 mainly because the shrimp and broccoli were good (not with the $4 up charge for a side though). Then, I paid the up charge of $5 for my wedge salad. Then $18 for two glasses of wine. $51 for just me for the service we received was absolutely overpriced.
If you want to eat at an overpriced restaurant with REALLY slow service and really no excuse for a two hour dinner with four people. This is your place. Clearly, not mine. read more
