By the end, I wasn't sure if I'd eaten seafood or just done vocal warm-ups. The good news: the food holds its own. The seafood is super fresh, which is a blessing when you need something to focus on besides the bass drop. It's a cozy little spot--parking lot fits about 11 cars, so it's like musical chairs on asphalt. Street parking is an option, just keep an eye out for that street sweeping sign unless you want to donate to the city's "surprise fund." Bottom line: great for a lively, no-fuss meal. Just bring your appetite, your patience, and maybe a subtle hand signal system.

I tried this restaurant for the first time about two months ago, and it was so good that I came…read moreback the very next day. The owners were in the kitchen both times, and the food was excellent. A few weeks later, I returned when the younger staff was working. They accidentally forgot to charge me for my meal. Thankfully, I'm an honest person and reminded them. That visit, the food was much heavier on the lemon pepper seasoning than usual. Today, I ordered the fish and shrimp dinner, and as soon as I opened my container, I noticed the food looked much darker than on my previous visits. It seemed like the fish and shrimp may have been fried in the same batter or grease used for chicken instead of the usual cornmeal fish batter. The fish also had an aftertaste that reminded me of old chicken grease, which was disappointing. I know this restaurant is capable of serving great food because I've experienced it firsthand. My suggestion would be to provide additional training to the staff so the food is prepared consistently, regardless of who is in the kitchen. Consistency is what keeps customers coming back.

As I walked in, food was ready, but the glass refrigerator was inoperable. There was no fresh seafood in sight. Oh lawd!! Had I known, I probably would've not ordered that day. In fact, the entire shop was kind of dark. There was no posted menu, price list, etc. None were printed either so I went off of previous yelp posts. I ordered the #2 combo with 3 pieces of file of soul, 10 medium shrimp, red beans/rice, greens & a small side order of hush puppies. Though, I was shorted 2 pieces of shrimp. Seafood was well coated, but crust kind of "peeled" off of the fish in big chunks. The ends of the fish were somewhat dried out and I don't think the fish was the freshest (since not noticeable on ice), not enough for the coating to fully stick. The sides were authentically cooked. Red beans had a slight kick. Greens portion was small and needed more seasoning. Hush puppies are well flavored although mine were slightly undercooked. Quick fix in the air fryer when I got home. I will give this place another try. My job is nearby and coworkers like to eat. Next time I hope the seafood is on ice and everything is fully operable. I may have to order upon arrival.

I ordered my usual and my mom opted for the Camárones Zarandeado which ultimately is a generous portion of shrimp grilled to perfection coated in some sort of mild spicy seasoning. I always look forward to the chips and salsa as this place offers the spiciest salsa I've ever had. I was practically in tears due to how spicy there green salsa is, and I love spicy food lol. I even overhead another guest compliment the owner on the spicy salsa as they were leaving. My pescado zarandeado was delicious as always and the shrimp was good too. Though i'm not personally quite fond of unpeeled shrimp (with the whiskers and eyes attached) my mom loved it! There was even a friendly local who arrived shortly after us and offered my mom and I a few beers as he had a 12 pack to himself. If you are a true foodie and don't mind the aesthetics ( as it is a food truck situated in an empty lot with an outside seating area) you'll absolutely love this place. The owner is also very kind and attentive which I appreciate. I'll always continue to support this local business and I encourage you to give it a try as well!

The sauce in the bag felt a bit... watered down like it went for a swim before meeting the seafood. For a party of four, we ordered: SHRIMP LOVER COMBO, LOBSTER ROLL, SIDE OF RICE, BASKET OF SEASONED FRIES, AND MAD DOG XXX SAUCE on the side. Portion-wise, we left comfortably full and only slightly questioning our life choices. The Shrimp Lover Combo can't be modified. We chose Stinkin' Special and Spicy, which came with a plastic glove so you can dig in like a civilized gremlin. The Stinkin' Special was a generous blasts of Old Bay and enough garlic to ward off vampires. The Mad Dog sauce wasn't shock-your-soul spicy, but it definitely lingered. I was still feeling its friendly burn hours later and well into the evening. The LOBSTER ROLLL was tasty but fleeting. It's one of those dishes that makes you realize the meal is almost over right when you're hitting peak satisfaction. A little emotional damage there. We wrapped it all up with deep-fried Oreos and ice cream, which was an instant win. Sweet, cooling relief after all that heat.
