Today, I ordered the fish and shrimp dinner, and as soon as I opened my container, I noticed the food looked much darker than on my previous visits. It seemed like the fish and shrimp may have been fried in the same batter or grease used for chicken instead of the usual cornmeal fish batter. The fish also had an aftertaste that reminded me of old chicken grease, which was disappointing. I know this restaurant is capable of serving great food because I've experienced it firsthand. My suggestion would be to provide additional training to the staff so the food is prepared consistently, regardless of who is in the kitchen. Consistency is what keeps customers coming back.

Red beans had a slight kick. Greens portion was small and needed more seasoning. Hush puppies are well flavored although mine were slightly undercooked. Quick fix in the air fryer when I got home. I will give this place another try. My job is nearby and coworkers like to eat. Next time I hope the seafood is on ice and everything is fully operable. I may have to order upon arrival.
