This area is actually across the parking lot from the boat ramp, but it has its own parking meter (with plenty of parking) and ramp to get onto the sand! You'll know you're in the right area when you see the boat that has been brought ashore by the hurricanes. The actual boat ramp has plenty of parking, fish cleaning stations, areas to fish, and a public restroom! I highly suggest checking this place out because it has plenty of space and greenery to separate any other animals that may also be there! It does say on the sign that dog have to stay leashed, but we were able to let our dog run free because no one else was there for the majority of the time. We did see 3 other dogs for brief moments while we played with a ball and seashells! If you do come I highly recommend an extra long lead for you dog so you don't have to keep them closer but so they can play freely! It is also a great place to get on a paddle board or kayak as you can just walk right up to the water and it's clear enough to put your board in and stand/sit on it! Overall I believe this is a hidden gem that I'd love to keep that way, but I'd love my fellow yelpers to also have a place to go!

There's also Belleair Bait & Tackle Co. for any sundries that you may need, a fishing pier, restrooms and a dog park/beach. The dog beach is along the south side of the park which is a hold over from before this park was last developed. FYI, your dog needs to be on a leash. Overall, this is a large public boat launch that's: 1) In an ideal location, 2) Clean and well kept, and 3) An awesome place just to hang out and fish or walk your pooch.

Phil just being a hardworking, knowledgeable, and fun guy to be around... it was such a great day chasing multiple species of fish. We started the day chasing Tarpon. We had 2 tarpon hookups but couldn't seal the deal. I fought one that jumped 7 or 8 times but broke me off in the end. What a rush!!! Then my daughter had a shark break her off at the back of the boat. We moved spots and caught a 4.5 foot Black Tip Shark! What a battle! We also caught our limit on Mangrove Snappers and caught some Red Fish to finish out the day. Besides all the fish we caught, we saw alot of the wildlife that Florida has to offer while out fishing today. We saw a manatee, sea turtles, so many dolphins, a 7-8 foot hammerhead shark that swam right under the back corner of the boat. Also, the dolphins ate a couple of the fish that we released! Our wonderful Airbnb recommended a visit to this nearby nature preserve (walking distance from where we stayed...) and it was a GREAT for a mid-morning stroll (should have gone at sunrise, but VACATION!!) The park looks small-ish from the main road, but venture in and check out the beautiful boardwalk that will have you "up close and personal" with the mangroves, lots of informative signs about the "residents" of this preserve, and if you're luckier than we were, apparently lots of birds and other creatures. The trail is not incredibly well-marked, but it's short enough that even a wrong turn or two won't leave you hopelessly lost. Clean, scenic, COOL in the shade, and definitely worth checking out if you're in the area!! Enjoy!!

So this is the second time I have booked with this company. First time was on a bigger boat with an…read moreair-conditioned inside area. The boat I was on today was not air-conditioned inside, but still a decent size boat. The larger boat has places to lay down in case you're not feeling well. The smaller boat does not. In both instances there was only two people helping out when you needed assistance both times there were someone new and unexperienced. Fortunately for me, I know how to fish, add a new hook as needed, and takeoff my own fish so instead of waiting around, I often not only helped myself but helped those around me. Very discouraging since they do not have hand rags. Being this is my second time I was aware of this so I brought my own this time around. The spool on the fishing rods are awful... I'm not certain how often they change the line out or get out the bubbles in the lines. Several people around me were having issues. On both cases there was only one large catch of the day. Most of what I caught were grunts and Porgies- both which do not have size limits. I kept only the large ones. - about 1'0" The boat I was on today only offered squid and shrimp.- no fish for bait. My suggestion is to check which boat you're on and if there's air-conditioning., bring some hand towels/rags, nail clippers, and your own needle nose pliers. I almost forgot to mention that my most recent experience, one of the guys was walking around, smoking the entire time and for someone who has severe asthma and heart conditions. This was a huge problem. The rating has since come down to a three. Do I dare go on this boat again? Hummmmm I don't know....would you?

Our captain for the day was Jordan and she was Spectacular with keeping us on time and showing us around. We did a 4 hour boat tour but were able to have time on the slide and visit two islands.
