Maybe an off day for this stop, I ordered a fresh cod basket. The food was just okay, too expensive for the small portions and extremely bland fish...super annoying use seasoning! A little salt after the fish comes out of the fryer at least add packets of salt to the basket the lemon slice was a nice touch but still need salt! The coleslaw was in a fry sauce cup, really? That is just super stingy. I just think they are basic, too expensive, small portions, bland food and nothing to be excited about! Honestly a huge let down based on other reviews. read more

This little place is great! Excellent quality of fish, cooked to perfection. Lightly breaded and crisp with juicy fish. Hot fries and coleslaw, fry sauce, and Tartar on the side. I've been wanting to try this place. Finally yesterday was the day and I ordered the cod sandwich and the hand dipped corn dog for my daughter. She also got a chocolate shake. The cod sandwich came with lettuce and tomato and it was delicious, and my daughter loved the hand dipped corn dog. She couldn't eat it all so she shared it with her little sister when she got home. My 3 year old loved it too. When we lived in CA we only had hand dipped corn dogs at the fair so the fact that we can have them whenever we want is a treat! We will be back to try other items. I have given this place a number of chances and it has consistently disappointed. Hour long waits for soggy fish and a terrible attitude from employees aren't exactly something I covet. You are much better off making the drive to Albany or Corvallis if you are craving fish. read more

I called 3times to place a order and each time a girl answered without saying hello and was cussing telling a story in the background and kept hanging up on me, I clearly was interrupting her story time. Then I decided to drive there and place the order instead. I never mentioned the phone calls or was rude I was very kind trying to give them another chance. My order was a large order and it clearly pissed off the cook because the women that took my order kept apologizing for my order and acted very annoyed while I sat at the window. I Thought I was being nice supporting a local family owned business but clearly it was not appreciated. I will not be returning anytime soon! read more

Have stopped in here a few times for lunch! The fish and chips are delicious...fairly reasonable on price for the Cod. The 1st time I ate here the portions were huge, by the 3rd time it was far less fries and only 2 small pieces of cod. I am sure it's by weight rather than by piece it just seemed like such a drastic difference in the 2 visits...but the same price!? The staff is incredibly friendly and quick to take orders. They were trying a new potato soup and offered me a sample to taste and it was good. Ordered an ice cream cone one time and the cone was stale...the ice cream was perfect. After reading the reviews I should have ordered a milkshake. :-) I will continue to eat here as I love the fresh fish and chips...but wish it was more fish than fries. read more

First time trying Fish Express with my wife! we love fish and chips, cod and halibut! we both got the Atlantic Cod Basket! Nice portions, great coleslaw, good fries. with tartar and fry sauce! Prices were good! We were both pleased and satisfied with our order. Service was reasonable for fresh cooked food! We ate at the picnic tables and enjoyed our food! We are locals and try to support our local establishments! We were not disappointed and look forward to coming back for more plus trying their hand dipped corn dogs! I have ate here for a few years and it was always good big pieces of Cod, Halibut and shrimp. Tasted Great too! I think they have new owners as for $14.00 I got three tiny 1.5 inch cubes of Cod, HALF the size of fries, and even the coleslaw was only white diced cabbage, no flavor, no mayo, nothing, I tossed it after two bites. The cod tasted about the same, but come on, Compare my picture with the one they show here on yelp? The picture THEY are showing here WAS really what they served too, I never could eat it all, tons of fries and three big pieces of Cod. The cod is about half the size of what they used to charge for and it was dry also, tasted ok, that is about all I can say for it. The shrimp was not the same either, but it was ok. The coleslaw was not coleslaw, sorry, I will not be going here any more, not for close to $15.00. I understand things cost more, I would have gladly paid 3 or 4$ more and had the same amount, but to charge almost 15 bucks for what I got was very dissapointing. And they have a tip jar. I will give you a tip, increase the size of your fish, buy better coleslaw and charge a little more, people understand. Just don't cut the size almost in half and even less fries? Potatoes are still cheap. The tiny, miniscule slice of lemon they gave me was even DRYED OUT, NO JUICE! Come on! I wished I lived in Albany, we have no decent place to eat in Lebanon except fast food garbage. Fish Express was my one oasis I could go to for good fish, but not anymore. read more

Yummy! Great and friendly service. First visit - craving a root beer float! The floats are excellent! Great quality soft serve ice cream in a generous portion topped off with ice cold root beer. This place is amazing every time! The milkshakes are my favorite and the shrimp basket. It is the best place in town for seafood. The service is always exceptional and the owner is the friendliest lady ever. There's also hand dipped corn dogs that my kids love. The outside area is really nice now and right next to train tracks. You can have lunch or dinner and watch trains go by! It's pretty cool. (There is a fence so it is safe.) This place is kind of tucked away, easy to find though. It sits behind the coffee stand off 2nd and oak. It is outside dining only. There is two drive through windows and a walk up window. Enjoy it this summer! read more

After receiving my order and sitting down at the outdoor benches my 4 year old daughter informed me that she she had to use the potty and that it was an emergency. I told the woman at the window I had a 4 year old girl with a potty emergency and asked for her help. In a dismissive tone she informed me that restrooms were no longer for customers because someone had stolen something. I said she was welcome to join us to ensure that did not happen again. She said flatly "no". As I turned to leave I said "I'll be back to talk to your manager". She said in the most mocking possible falsetto tone "Oh miss Manager?" Thinking the manager would have more concern for the welfare of a small child I delayed just a moment to plead my daughter's situation to the manager. She said the rest room is not for customers saying this time it was because someone broke something. I invited her to please watch that we did not break anything but to please help my little girl. She flatley refused to help our little girl. I provided feed back to the owners via the email I got from Square because I paid via credit card. My feedback only yielded me more rude comments and no sympathy for their callas behavior. They even said "very sorry you didn't understand the first several times you were told!" Average food from bad people. I will not go back and recommend that all people who care for decency and civil behavior toward children stay away from this hopefully soon to be out of business shack. read more

They have the crinkle cut French fries which were also delicious, they give you fry sauce, mustard, and ketchup without having to ask.
