Glad I had an appointment. This is a very popular "walk-in" location and they've got a large waiting room with more chairs strung out down the hallway. Given how long the average imaging appt lasts, you could be waiting for a really long time. I was called back for prep a few minutes before my scheduled appt. Def get there early. You've got to completely disrobe and change into their goofy stuff that includes one of those smocks that ties in the back. Such a stupid design, because no one can tie that thing up in back . They have a couple lockers to put your personal stuff in, then you sit and wait outside changing rooms before they come get you and walk you to another area just outside MRI room where you wait again. It's a well run conveyor belt. Lady in front of me came out and in I went. Kudos to the techs and MRI operator for helping me get comfortable on the table. Not an easy feat given my height and shoulder width. Fortunately whole process inside the tube only took about 15 minutes. Next patient was cued up as I left to get redressed. The quality of care was as good as you could expect for this kinda place. I had a tech and a newbie learning the ropes shepherding from area to area.

Parking 5/5 Easy finding a parking spot in the private parking lot. Security 5/5 Evening security guard was on their game, getting visitors masked up and through the medal detector. Note to visitors, I always carry a pocket knife. No bueno back to the vehicle it goes. Never detected my Badge, left knee replacement like the airports do. All good though she was cool. Learned which floor/room my friend was admitted to and easily found her. She was experiencing a medical condition and was being treated properly for it. She didn't feel being admitted was necessary but I agreed with the doctor. After an hour she was hard at sleep and in great care. As of 1/15 she is still being treated and is recovering. I went in for an unexpected medical emergency. They were not super busy, but as soon as the ER doctor spoke to me, they went to work. They ran tests & we had initial results very quickly. It was a relief knowing someone was going to address my problem, especially because it was scary! In every hospital you have to be patient to some degree. There are always bumps along the way & you might even interact with a few people with little to no bedside manner & some may seem like they aren't listening. It's up to us to decide if they are important enough to complain about, because sometimes they aren't worth the time. Overall, my experience with 99.5% of the staff at Banner Baywood was great! They listened, they responded & I was treated appropriately. During COVID I personally knew too many people who were treated very inappropriately at several other hospitals in & out of AZ, so I was not so trusting. Banner Baywood gave me renewed hope. I am thankful & glad I chose Banner Baywood.

The office mgr at this location has a lot to learn about customer/patient care. If this were my clinic, she'd be gone. The other issue is that I asked them to print out the films on a cd and mail it to my neurosurgeons office in Phoenix! Not only did the surgeon never receive it, but when I called advanced to see if they sent it out, they said there was no date indicating when it was sent, just says "mailed." Now I know usps has been slow, but it doesn't take 15 days to mail a cd from Mesa to Phoenix! THIS OFFICE IS COMPLETELY INEPT AT ANYTHING. There are plenty other radiographic places to go; why settle for an office that just doesn't care. Definitely will never be going back there.

Low and behold, 5 minutes later I was getting my X-rays which took a total of 5 minutes. *I personally would not recommend using this company. ** Now I have to wait 10 days before the services are posted in the system and I can request a refund. *** I do have make known that the radiologist that helped me was amazing and friendly. I love the convenience of having one location for various types of appointments. Their online system is easy to use; I can contact my provider and schedule appointments with ease, at my convenience. But above all I cannot say enough wonderful things about the care. I am seeing a FNP as my primary and she provides me with the most comprehensive, compassionate care I've ever received. I have a condition that won't allow me to book my MRI online. They make me call in and then connect me to the seventh circle of hell where no one will pick up. I was on hold for three hours in March. I will periodically call back and beg for someone to help me. They take my information and swear they'll have someone call to schedule me - and of course they don't. I drove directly to the location that could service me and they won't book you in person either. And now I'm going through the same thing again because I need a second MRI. It's absolutely barbaric that no one will schedule your MRI when you're in pain and need to get sorted out. SimonMed should be forced into bankruptcy for treating people so heartlessly and with such callous disregard. The only thing I can say for this specific location is that I also needed an xray for my treatment. The main call center messed that up too, causing me a two hour wait that infuriated me. Kadeshia who works here could not have been kinder or more helpful. One bright spot in an otherwise deeply frustrating experience.

In all the years I've been coming here, I have never had to wait more than a couple of minutes of I have an appointment. My X-rays were done in literally 5 minutes and I was out the door. Banner imaging will always be my first choice for any type of imaging.
