I have been a patient of Breastnet since Dr.White started it over 25 years ago. I received a call to schedule my appointment and I told the representative that I would have to wait a few weeks. Well I called to schedule my appointment and was told that if I wanted to continue the same level service I would have to pay a ridiculous additional amount. I have medicare and an excellent supplement. I asked what I am receiving for $1000.00. The same thing that I was getting for the last 25-30 years for no additional fee. There is a lot of competition. My history is there and hate to start with a new provider. Ridiculous!!!!! This is nothing but greed and taking advantage of patients that have made this business what it was. I have been a Breastnet patient for 18 years. I am a retired radiologist who was fellowship trained in ultrasound. I was a colleague and patient of Dr Barclays-White. All the rave reviews are well deserved. I have been a patient of Dr E Wolfe since the practice was sold. I only have rave reviews for Dr Wolfe. She replaced all the OUTDATED equipment with costly new state of the art ultrasound units and installed new state of the art 3D mammogram machines! I only have my breast imaging in dedicated mammography practices. This renders consistent reads. Given the cuts in Medicare reimbursement of breast imaging and staff salary increases, I fully understand the necessity to increase revenue stream. Only two options: fee based practice which no longer accepts Medicare or concierge service. Please remember, no exam can be performed without your doctor's approval of the procedure and your consent. Ask questions, not to front desk personnel but your physician or Dr Wolfe. No money is better spent than on your health! You may feel you don't need extra exams now but one in seven women unfortunately develop breast cancer. It is agonizing to wait to be scheduled for a biopsy and results, when mammogram is abnormal. I know with two experiences, one which I waited two weeks and Dr Wolfe who performed biopsy same day. Results personally discussed next day. That is expertise and service! Personally, I would never shop for a lower price and potential poor outcome. My health is precious. Ladies, I have no financial gain by writing this review. My only hope is that you are your own advocate, and potentially pick a highly qualified, genuine mammograher such as Dr Wolfe. Remember, your not sick until your sick! After years of going to Arizona Breastnet, I will not be returning. When Dr. Barclay-White owned the practice, it was such a wonderful place. I always got my results before I left, and they always had relaxing environment. Now, it's just awful. The whole experience has become stressful. I received an email announcing require a monthly membership fee to go there. Medicare pays for my annual mammogram, but now Dr. Wolf wants to charge 5 times what a mammogram usually costs, for the same exact services they've always offered. I will go somewhere that takes my insurance and doesn't charge and additional $1200.00 for nothing. read more

Dr Eszter Wolf MD and the Breastnet Clinic are one I highly recommend. The office is professional and Dr Wolf is so friendly and knowledgeable. Any women who has a Mammogram wants the result yesterday! It is a very stressful time and waiting is horrible. At Breastnet you receive your results at the time of your visit, this is a plus! I went to Breastnet for years when it was the practice of Belinda Barclay-White and it was one of the bright spots in my medical universe. Her entire staff cared about her patients, and it showed. In additional to Dr. Barclay-White's clinical skill and personal attention, I very much appreciated her front desk workers who were personable and compassionate but also efficient and organized. At my last visit, I was dismayed to find that the practice has changed ownership and apparently has all new staff. I was checked in by someone who appeared to be going out of her way to be cold and abrupt (I am not personally very chatty so you have to be pretty mean for me to notice that), but even more concerningly did not want to update my medical form. When I told her that a maternal relative had recently been diagnosed with breast cancer and maybe I should update my history, she snapped "that doesn't matter." As a physician I was appalled by this and my outlook was not improved later in the visit when a non-clinical worker tried to "sell" me several hundred dollars worth of additional testing that I had never needed before. Instead of doing the testing there, I went SMIL where for a fraction of the price it was confirmed that the "shadow" seen in the initial imaging was not of concern. I was going to give the practice a second chance and go again this year but have just received an email that they are transitioning to a "concierge" practice. I have no interest in concierge mammography services particularly of this quality so am now free to leave an honest review so other women can be aware. read more

I am sad to say I am finally leaving Breastnet after over 25 years. I never had a problem with paying private pay since I have a history of breast cancer in my family. Since Dr. Wolf has taken over the practice everything has changed and not for the better from my perspective. I tried to stick with it but this last bit with the increased fees and concierge service was my last straw. What a shame as I am sure I am not the only one to leave. Dr Barclay-White was a gem that will be truly missed. read more

Search Facebook Review: January 31, 2024 My Breastnet Experience I've been a loyal patient at Breastnet for 21 years, and the recent changes in their service model left me deeply dissatisfied. The introduction of the Concierge practice, requiring a $100 monthly fee(plus the $700 to get a mammogram and ultrasound on top of the monthly fee), was not adequately communicated. Upon arriving for my follow-up appointment, I was told there was a demand for immediate enrollment and provision of a credit card. Or I couldn't be seen. Sharon, at the front desk was not only unhelpful but also disrespectful. When I said I didn't know if my budget allowed for this charge, she looked at my arm and said: "Nice watch!" Talk about hitting below the belt and totally uncalled for. Despite expressing concerns about the abrupt changes and requesting more time to decide, I was met with inflexibility and pressure to enroll immediately. The lack of consideration for a long-time patient was disheartening. They refused to see me for this important follow-up appointment after an abnormal finding at my last appointment with Dr. Wolf. And a Melanoma survivor, to say I was nervous for the appointment was putting it mildly. I offered to pay cash for the appointment to be seen, but they refused to see me if I didn't sign up for their new Concierge service! I asked to talk with the office manager that was sitting there and didn't say a word and also to talk with Dr. Wolf and I was told by Sharon - NO EXCEPTIONS! And she wouldn't budge.Number one rule: Never fight with a patient! Shame on them. This practice is not more focused on financial gains than patient care. The disregard for my concerns and the insistence on immediate financial commitment left me questioning the integrity of the clinic. Money over patient care is not the way to go. I have always respected the medical expertise at Breastnet, but recent experiences have shaken my confidence. And I can't imagine Dr. Wolf wants her practice to be represented in this manner. One last thing...my grandfather had a shoe business for 60 years, his mantra - "It's nice to be nice!" Something this practice needs to think about! read more

One of the "not recommended" reviews below says it best. This is not the old BreastNet of Dr Belinda Barclay-White. While I was impressed by the imaging techs & the doctor seemed knowledgeable, they've charged me incorrect Medicare amounts 3 years in a row. The first year they said I needed 3 biopsies ion the spot, one resulted in an excision, and I was so traumatized (I am already a BC survivor) that I didn't attempt to argue. Last year it took 1/2 hour of argument before they'd even check the amounts, but when they finally did I was promostly credited. This year they refused to even look up the amounts & told me that they are no longer charging new patients Medicare rates, so if you're going for the first time be ready to pay the full charge. This is so sad, I used to love this place. read more

Dr. Wolf and her staff at Breastnet were amazing. They made me feel extremely comfortable and relaxed. The vibes were very calming, with soft music, comfy robes, and even mimosas. At 35, it is not ideal to go for your first mammogram. However, now that it's done I will for sure be coming back to Breastnet every year! read more

Unbelievable what this business has become. The new doctor, Dr Eszter Wolf,solely does things for making more money. When I was here in 2019 with Dr Barcly White, they told me my breast tissue was not dense,and then I come with the new doctor and the past two years,she changed and said I was now dense and needed ultrasound and to have additional images both years. I am not on hormones, and am in my seventies.I have a medical history and know that I did not all of a sudden become more dense. This practice used to be amazing and care about women and women's health. Not anymore. All they are worried about is money. I will never send anyone there anymore, Nor will not be returning. It is a real shame, and shame on Dr. Wolf for exploiting women's lack of knowledge of breast tissue and breast imaging for her own benefit. read more

I have been under the care of Dr. Belinda Barclay White for the last 15 years or so. She has guided me thru my 2nd Breast cancer and I trust her advice above all others. She listens to your needs and reassures you that what you decide is the best care for you. I would not recommend any other Doctor to follow my progress as she is the best. read more

I have been going to Breastnet for the last 7 or 8 years for my annual mammograms. The minute you walk in you are greeted with a friendly face who cares that you are there and the surroundings immediately make you feel calm and peaceful - you can tell purposefully designed with women in mind.. The staff is truly amazing with their friendly, caring demeanor. Breastnet has a full service breast diagnostic center and Dr. Belinda Barclay-White gives you the results while you are there - what a concept!!!!! No more waiting anxiously one, two, or three weeks for results. I once had a small needle biopsy done right in the office, as well as an ultrasound when they were called for - again, with results while I was there. Do yourself a favor, go to Breastnet where they treat women like they deserve to be treated. If you feel it is an emergency, you will not wait for weeks to get in - maybe same day or the next!! read more

This is NOT the old Breastnet of Dr. Barclay-White. This business is cold and clinical. When you check in and have signed all the requisite forms, the receptionist pulls the pen from your hand. All the feminine touches have gone. Everything has changed to tailored gray furniture, gray walls and uniforms, glaring white lights, and curt employees. You will not see the new owner, Dr. Eszter Wolf, unless your insurance carrier covers an office visit with your mammography exam. Medicare does not. They also push ultrasound exams by repeatedly offering one. Normally, an ultrasound isn't indicated unless an abnormality is found. After the Mammography tech informs you of your diagnosis, and you are dressed, you are handed your "report card", a pre-photocopied sheet of paper with boxes checked, and are expected to leave immediately. The only good part of the experience is that you know the diagnosis on the spot. read more

My primary care physician sent me to Breastnet many years ago, as they diagnosed his wife's breast cancer, and I go here regularly. I am at a high-risk for breast cancer, my mother and grandmother were breast cancer survivors and I have dense breast tissue. I alternate between mammograms and ultrasounds every 6 months, so if something is detected, it will be caught early. When you walk into the front door of Breastnet, you are warmly greeted by Becca (she remembers my name every time I call or come in). Becca understands that you may be a little nervous about your appointment, but she quickly puts you at ease with her sincerity. The environment is very spa like, with soft plushy robes, a fountain, and sounds of nature. The rest of the staff is also exceptional and I have developed a relationship with most of them. Last week while having an ultrasound, a cyst was suspicious. An hour later, I had the cyst aspirated (there was no pain) and I never felt worried as I knew I was in the best hands possible. Although they are very high-tech (they read your results real time with you and compare recent tests to current), they are also high-touch (caring, and treating the total person, reassuring you along the way).
