First Wok is your typical Chinese takeout place that offers acceptable Chinese food (or more accurately, Americanized Chinese food) in a typical Chinese takeout type setting. The menu doesn't offer any real surprises, but there is nothing wrong with that. The items on the menu are tried and true and are beloved items that many of us have enjoyed since childhood. I went with the lo mein and it was pretty good. Not the best that I ever had, but certainly nothing terrible or even remotely close to some of the horror stories I have had at Chinese restaurants. This was my only time here so I can only judge it by my lo mein, but it was good. A bit standard, but that was fine. I still enjoyed my lunch. This is the last time I will be ordering from First Wok. The boneless ribs were chewy and in some kind of a soupy sauce, tasteless certainly NOT BBQ. The Moo Shu Pork was sooo salty it was inedible. The customer service is great and they're always super nice and the food comes out quick. Just not good Chinese food. The sauces were bland, the sweet-and-sour sauce very runny no flavor and the fried shrimp were overcooked. My family and I use First Wok as our Go-To restaurant for quick take out. Prices are reasonable and they're very generous with portions; had the steamed dumplings tonight and they were fantastic! Restaurant itself is pretty tiny with limited seating, however it's the kitchen that matters anyway. The employees are always super friendly and orders some up quick! The food is consistent every time I go here. Very friendly and will let you know if there is an additional charge for something. The only take out place Ive been to since I moved here almost a year ago. My only wish is that the spicy dishes were spicier how they should be, but I'm sure there may have been complaints that a dish was too spicy. read more

My local go to. Decent food, fair prices and fast service. Except for the Spring Rolls, everything I've had has been pretty good!

Tried them many times over the last 12 years and quality has steadily declined. This week had Gen Tsu chicken--gooey breading around poor quality meat. Kung Pao chicken was mostly undercooked celery and carrots with only a few pieces of tough meat. MuShu pork was just Okay. I erased their phone number from mine and tossed out their takeout menus. Disappointed to say the least. Ordered takeout. Got home and the chicken inside the fried rice was grey and had an awkward odor to it. The vegetable spring rolls only had fried dough rolled up with no vegetables. The lomein was really soaked in oil and salty. I don't recommend this establishment. Food temperature was mild and it seemed not to be heated to the appropriate temperature. I wasted $26 on a meal that is now in the trash. read more

Bought Szechuan beef lunch special today 3/22/22. I couldn't find any beef. I dug around and found 5 tiny, finger nail size of beef and a little bit of rice on a corner. Everything else was vegetables. Also, instead of being spicy and savory it was very sweet. I called and spoke to a young man and he asked me to bring the container and what I wanted to replace it with and I told him Kong Pao chicken. I get there and an Asian older man (cook/owner?) started yelling at me telling me I lied and that I had eaten the beef and rice and that I would have to pay for the Kong Pao chicken. I told him I wasn't going to pay and left. They have lost a life long customer cause they chose not to do the right thing. As many times as I've ordered from there, this was the 1st time I complained about anything. I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN. Spoiled as in rotten meat... smelled like rotten meat and tasted like rotten meat smells, if you know what I mean. BAAAD!!!!! On our way back to Cocoa from Deltona, we evidently got off on the wrong exit for food and our only options were First Wok and Wendy's. We opted to dine there and the food came out mega fast. We had General Tso's, chicken fried rice, sweet and sour chicken, and two orders of cream cheese rangoons. Everything was hot and tasted good, but to me it was just the average chinese take-out. If I lived nearby I could see myself ordering from here to satisfy those chinese food cravings though. The lady at the counter was very friendly and accommodating. Most places say NY style and they lie, but this place is serious. I love NY and the great food you get there. This place is awesome and it's quick. It fast food Chinese at its best. The people are very nice and the food (well my mouth is watering as we head there). My friend lives off garden street and I love going here when visiting him and his kids. I love their lo mein, mu shu, and basically everything else I've tried. The only thing I didn't love was the soup. Added benefit MSG is not on in any of the food. YAY read more

Eating here through the years before I moved (and received my degree in Hospitality management....I.e. Restaurant management!), I boasted this was one of the best in town. But a few days ago I made an order for my family and I and upon beginning to eat the Lo Mein I found a dead bug that was cooked along with my food. It was larger than any ant and appeared to have pinchers or something on the end of its abdomen. About the length of an average finger nail. Black with 6 legs. I was given a full refund when i returned shortly after and they were very kind about everything but I will no longer be a customer of the First Wok. I've eaten at this establishment 3 times now. The General Tao's chicken is excellent as it is not overcooked and chewy. The Kung Pao has way too many vegetables, not enough chicken, but it's not "hot" enough. I've noticed many Chinese take out/eat in places aren't putting enough of the "hot" stuff in their dishes. The third time, I ordered lemon chicken, which was not good at all. The sauce wasn't lemony and the puffed, deep friend chicken was like popcorn chicken with no taste at all. This is a clean place and it's obvious the Asian family is very attentive to the customer and are very polite and well mannered.
