I had time after arriving in town to stop and have a real sit down meal, so I stopped in. The seating area by the sushi bar is cozy. The staff so friendly and took the time to explain some of the things on the menu. I decided to get a bento box which came with miso soup, a small side salad, and then I added a Valentine roll which was the special on the chalkboard... yum. They paid attention to my ginger allergy and made sure that every plate was ginger free and gave me options that were ginger free. The highlight was the Valentine roll with its shrimp, cream cheese and avocado wrapped in pink rice paper, and drizzled with a wonderful sauce. Plus the rolls were in the shape of hearts! I liked the bento box. The tempura vegetables tasted fresh. The shrimp was cooked well. With the rice side and California roll, I was more than satisfied with the meal. So glad I was able to finally come and eat in. I will definitely come back/order from Zeng when I am back in Terre Haute.

They do a tremendous amount of take out business. The phone was ringing off the hook for take out orders. We ordered a few items to see what all of the fuss is about. They have a lot of pictures on the wall of the sushi they serve. We decided on a volcano roll. It was made to order and it was delicious. We ordered 6 pork dumplings. They were light and crispy on the outside and the pork on the inside was very flavorful. As one of the entrees we chose Pancit. We learned later that it is there #1 item ordered. It is a nice portion of rice noodles, cabbage, carrots, green beans, in a very light sauce. You can choose Chicken or shrimp. We chose chicken. It is in small pieces and fits perfectly with the julienned veggies and the thin rice noodles. We also ordered the special of the day which was Marinated Beef. It came in a bowl with a dark beef broth and onions. There was a side office to go with it. The beef felt like it was melting in your mouth. Absolutely delicious! We poured some of the rice into the bowl to soak up some of the broth. You didn't want to miss a drop. Here we thought we had ordered a lot of food and would have leftovers but we cleaned every plate. It was that good. I wish I lived closer because I would eat here a lot. Yum!

Matcha latte: The matcha was decent - it had the flavour of matcha latte mix rather than pure matcha, but it wasn't unpleasant, and it was strong. I like the brown sugar crystal boba as a topping - the flavour is very similar to brown sugar tapioca boba, but it doesn't sit as heavy. It's a different kind of chewy than tapioca, but it's close enough that it basically gives the same kind of experience as regular tapioca boba in a drink. Pattaya pineapple rice: Really good! The rice was well-seasoned and the pieces of juicy pineapple and raisins added some sweetness that contrasted very nicely with the curry-spiced rice. They have 5 spice levels (mild, medium, hot, extra hot, Thai hot). I usually went for medium heat when I lived on the west coast, but since this is the Midwest, I tried "hot" and found it had a bit of a kick, but the heat was still secondary to the other flavours, so it was the right choice for me. Very good service. The waiter was very friendly and attentive without hovering - he came by at just the right times. My drink and food came out not too long after I ordered. The place is nice. Like the other restaurants in this area, it's situated in a small house-like building. The atmosphere feels down-to-earth.
