This location was very consistent aesthetically compared to other locations I have been to with a farmhouse vibe and decor. We were greeted and seated immediately in a table in the dining area upon arrival. Our waiter came by to take our drink order and then brought waters to the table and then came back to take our food order. I had The Works Omelette and I customized it to remove the sausage and ham and add avocado. I had a side of fruit and English muffin. I asked for the homemade salsa that comes with the Bacodo omelette. When I got my order the salsa was missing and the server did not come to follow up to ensure that our order was complete. My omelette was cooked perfectly and had a generous amount of toppings. I was very satisfied with the portion size and quality of the food and they were very accommodating with the customization of my order. My party also had the Trifecta breakfast with scrambled eggs, bacon and a waffle as well as the Maple Bacon Croissant Sandwich with potatoes. The service could have been a bit more attentive as by the time she checked on us, I had almost finished my omelette and never received my salsa. The potatoes were ok, especially as they are fresh not frozen variety but the ham was more of a deli ham (like ham off the bone variety) rather than a thin ham steak. The poached eggs were cooked perfectly (and I'm super picky about that). David remembered my name when I was checking out after I'd given it to him during a short wait when I came in. I watched him throughout my meal, doing whatever needed to get done-hosting, wiping tables, greeting the regulars at their tables. When I was checking out David asked how everything was and I burst into tears. I was in town because my father had passed away the day before. I told him and he immediately asked if he could hug me. We met family at this First Watch location. It was a really nice one and less crowded location than the one we typically go to in Pittsburgh. We also love that you can join the waiting list (when there is one) within Yelp. That really saves time if you time it correctly. I even asked for a table instead of a booth and they accommodated. We were looking for breakfast and decided to try first watch for the first time. We made an online order and arrived at the time specified for the order to be ready. When I walked into the restaurant, our online order was bagged and waiting. That was a cause of concern, anyone could have taken the order and how long it was waiting there. We ordered the Traditional which was eggs bacon, potatoes and wheat toast along with a BLTE with tomato soup. All the food was room temperature. The Traditional's wheat toast was wheat bread, nothing showing it had been toasted and it was soft. Also scrambled eggs were yellow and white showing they were not mixed until on the grill. The Tomato soup was so thick that when you put some on the spoon and then turn it over it would not POUR off but would come off in clumps. The BLTE was cold but tasty. Based on the price and lack of quality our first time will be our last time as customers. Our first impression was not good. read more
