    Chicken Avocado Chop salad
    Audrey D.

Went here for a work lunch. Speed was perfect for the lunch hour- everything came quickly & fresh. Server was attentive but not annoyingly so. Everyone else in my group had breakfast; I had a salad. The breakfast potatoes looked amazing and the bacon was crispy. My salad was tasty & thankfully not drenched in dressing. The one star deduction is because this place just comes across as generic. Nothing seemed special or unique. It's just a standard breakfast chain with food you can get anywhere. Food is good; it's not special.

Tried First Watch for breakfast and had a bit of a mixed experience. The space itself is beautifully decorated with a clean, modern vibe that definitely stands out from your typical breakfast spot. The food was quite good, fresh and flavorful - but the pricing felt a little steep for standard breakfast fare. Unfortunately, the service didn't match the atmosphere. We felt rushed and a bit overlooked, like we were just another table to get in and out quickly. It took away from the overall experience. Great setting and decent food, but the service left something to be desired.

We were back from my wife's physical therapy session and wanted to have a late breakfast nearby our financial advisor. Fortunately there was no wait for a table. Service was polite, attentive and quick. The food was good and filling. Do note that joining the rewards program gives you a free meal for your birthday. You can't beat that.

This location has parking around the building and is part of a shared plaza. We tend to drop in early in the morning before the morning rush starts so we are seated quickly and are able to order right away. I like the variety of seasonal options. The service is always friendly and efficient. There is lots of natural light which gives it an open feel even when it is busy. One of the reasons we like first watch is the quality of the ingredients and consistency in quality, experience and taste across various locations. I got the traditional breakfast with chicken sausage, over easy eggs, potatoes and gluten free toast. The price and portion size are good. I really like the chicken sausage patty and my husband likes their turkey links.

Dirty glass and had a terrible odor

HIGHLY DO NOT recommend this location. Service was rushed, our table could not get a word in to our server. On top of that this is the second time this location has given me DIRTY cups. Love First Watch breakfast but will never return to this location.

This location is pretty big and breakfast never takes very long so there are lots of seats available and the wait isn't too bad! The motto here is "yeah it's fresh" so they place an emphasis on using real ingredients that taste good. The menu is large and there is something for everyone!

First Watch is one of the first restaurants centered around the fancy brunch only craze in Louisville. Now they have franchises all around but they are usually consistent. Their food is always Instagram worthy but has good flavor. The service is always quick even if they are slammed. I love the down home country decor.

First watch is always solid! You'll likely never be wowed by the food but it's a great place to meet friends and the food is solid. Service is always on par and it's got a fun ambiance. The seasonal menu offers some variety and is worth checking out. My go to is the Farmhouse. Solid hash with ample portions. The multigrain toast is a winner as well. Their preserves take it to the next level. Kids menu has enough variety for picky eaters. Can eat outside, if that's what's you prefer. The patio has a wonderful view overlooking Goodwill's parking lot. But does offer a outdoor place to sit on beautiful spring/summer am's.

First Watch..... An homey farm vibe location. It gives you a fresh farm to table type of menu. But, I don't think that's the case. Since it was breakfast, of course the food was quickly prepared. I had regular coffee, which to my surprise was very good. I love the idea of the communal table, but with COVID it didn't seem like the best idea. The wait on a busy Saturday morning was only 15 minutes I will definitely be headed back again. Decor: farm house chic, tables are kinda close together The carrot cake pancakes were amazing I give it 4 stars for a small misstep on my order and also for the cleanliness at the time we got there. Yummy, quick option for breakfast.

I ALWAYS look forward to coming to first watch-no matter the location. :) We frequent the Breckenridge location (for proximity), but the hurstbourne is just as good. I can't wait to try the one on Taylorsville they just opened! Today I stopped in just to get their kale and beet juice to go. They were so friendly and made it very easy- in and out in 5 mins. Everything I have had here has been delicious and it's just a good place to go alone or with a group. So many options of food to choose- from classic breakfast / brunch to funky pesto kale bowls (my favorite!!!). Another more breakfast favorite of mine is the Floridian! It's French toast with so many different fruits and a berry compote!! Mouth watering :) The juices are so delicious as well.

First watch could be so much more. The aesthetic is nice but the food is meh. I ordered a roast beef sandwich with horseradish sauce. The bread was great! The shaved beef was not tender, not juicy, not ideal. The servers we interacted with were awesome! I initially ordered the tortilla soup and it was soooo bad. I requested fries instead. They honored the request with no questions. I always feel bad but when something is inedible, you have to do it. There are much better breakfast options in the city.

Stopped in here for breakfast on a PTO day. Nice place to work and eat a yummy breakfast. I had ten avocado toast with eggs and coffee. Service was quick and friendly. They have a seasonal menu, may be back to try it again soon. Pumpkin flavors are featured for seasonal options.

It's hard to describe just how large the viewing area is and all spots within the area are used for some kind of art display... Even the bathroom. The modus operandi here is that you stand in line to place your order, then go find a table. At Sunday brunch time, the line can be long and slow to move. After you are seated, a runner will bring your food out. Our orders were correctly prepared and came out quickly. We ordered fried green tomatoes, loaded tater tots and donut holes as appetizers. The green tomatoes were just okay, but I would say that the dipping sauce that came with them was fabulous. The loaded tater tots didn't really seem like tater tots but tasted okay. The donut holes were decent. I ordered the Chick N' Ditch (chicken breast and waffles). The unpleasantly salty chicken was a filet. The French toast that looked like pancakes were good JP ordered the Avocado Toast and said it was just okay. The Bacon, Egg and Cheese Biscuit was good. I was able to order a biscuit on the side (even though the paper menu didn't show biscuits as a side). The biscuit was good. I'm torn between three and four stars for Biscuit Belly, but because the ambience was lively and the interior appealing, I'll go ahead with four stars.

My top-tier chum who literally went to the school of hospitality and I came here two Fridays ago ahead of a bourbon tour (thinking, correctly, that we should probably have a hearty meal beforehand so we didn't end up face-first in a gutter somewhere). Several Kentucky natives told us that we had to try a Hot Brown during our visit, and since it was literally created at the Brown Hotel, this seemed like the logical spot. The actual Hotel has some gorgeous interiors, especially upstairs in the lobby. We didn't see that area until after our meal, so when we laid eyes on the Lobby Bar & Grill, we knew immediately that that was where we SHOULD have gone for this Hot Brown dish. J. Graham's, I'm sorry to say, doesn't have the history and personality of the rest of the building and just looks like a generic breakfast spot you'd find in any hotel. It probably exists solely because the other dining options in the hotel aren't open until later and they want to give tourists and their own customers a place to eat at all times of the day, which isn't a terrible reason in my book. But it's also unfortunately not very good, and the dirty walls and overall meh appearance of the establishment just make it very clear that the hey day for this hotel overall was decades ago. The service was the biggest miss here. Our waitress was scatterbrained, often not around or around but hanging out with co-workers or talking up other customers. It was honestly pretty mystifying because when she DID come by, she was often overly apologetic and trying to make amends. But the best way to make amends is not to have to keep doing that throughout the meal. She forgot my friend's coffee (didn't write anything down when we ordered, which is fine if you remember everything but...) and when my chum asked what was in the hummus (one of just three apps), she didn't know and had to go ask someone in the kitchen. That's arguably a nitpick and she DID try to figure it out, but the lunch menu is pretty small and it was a little odd that her menu knowledge was that limited. The bigger problem was that we were in there for over half an hour longer than we wanted to be because she wouldn't come by our table. I actually actively looked for her on the way to the bathroom so I could remind her to come to our table, but instead found her off to the side gossiping with other staff. Not a good look at all. So this might have been an overall positive experience if some of the hospitality from the hotel had spilled over here. We actually both enjoyed the apps, which were the only real positives of the experience. The Bourbon Barrel Fries and the Two Timer, featuring Smoked Bourbon Hummus (bourbon tends to be the theme of your days in this town, I've found) were both really good, and I probably ate more of those than the actual entree. The fries were cooked perfectly and were well seasoned/addictive. The Hot Brown was fine for what it was (we split it to try). It's basically a dramatic turkey melt, with slices of turkey coated in cheese and other sauces. It also came with strips of bacon on top, which on a personal palate level I didn't think really helped the dish so I barely nibbled on those. It's definitely a solid entry but it wasn't mind-blowing for either of us. Maybe it's just from where we come from in the Northeast, but I'm conditioned to like my turkey with accompanying stuffing, and usually in the latter part of November. I think it felt kind of weird to be eating turkey with warm cheese. But I'm glad we tried it and got the context at least. You might have a completely different experience with better service, but I'd still recommend going upstairs for any dining. It's a much better atmosphere and you can really appreciate where this hotel fits in the chronology of Louisville. You're not going to get that from going here.
