First Watch is my favorite place for Sunday brunch in LWR. The menu has the amazing ability to be both healthy and delicious - and really the only bummer is that unlike a true Southern business they don't serve sweet tea! However that's a small point of contention and you should absolutely give this place a shot - the eggs benedict are incredible. Fair warning, I drafted this review two years ago but neglected to post it. So I can't attest to whether this review is an accurate assessment of this restaurant's current state. Good things - the food is fresh and delicious. They are great with special orders (like no onions, sauce in the side, etc.) The pancakes are fabulous - I haven't tried them all, but have enjoyed everyone I tried. One odd thing, though. The pancakes are served with a large scoop of butter right on top. Please, put it in a separate container or leave it off entirely. When a customer goes through a litany of ordering instructions that include things like no cheese and cooked dry and no butter it's a little disconcerting to have a large scoop of melting butter on the pancake. I always have to scoop it off quickly and have nowhere to put it, so the spoon of butter ends up on the table or, if it's too melty, in the water glass. Which makes me feel rude. But if I specifically ask for "no butter on my pancake please" I think it's less wasteful to scoop it off than it would be to send the entire pancake back. And I like the coffee, and the fact they leave a carafe on the table. But I may not be able to frequent this place because my husband is an ice tea drinker and he rants about the fact he is treated differently than coffee drinkers. So please, more ice tea! There are carafes of coffee and water left on the table, but not ice tea. And rather than fill up an empty or nearly empty ice tea glass, they bring a fresh glass. Which would be fine, but then take away the used glass so they don't get stockpiled on the table. read more

I LOVE their food we don't get to eat here often bc of the hours, but when I can get out to lunch I really enjoy the fresh food. Hopefully I will never get the server we had today again at the Market St. Location. She acted like we were inconveniencing her by eating in her section. She also told the people next to us to read the descriptions of the food for their questions. read more

I love First Watch for breakfast and lunch. On my recent visit though, I got an order to go, and I was so impressed on how they did not keep me waiting around. I came in, paid, and I watched the same server who cashed me out put my order together and then I was out! Today started out wonderfully and I was looking forward to having breakfast at one of my favorite chains. Once I was seated I waited as other guests were greeted and served by the waitstaff. A couple came at the same time I did and they had ordered and were enjoying drinks. No server came by my table to even acknowledge me. I saw at least 3 servers attending to guests and preparing empty tables for guests who may come in later, but no one was concerned with a real customer that they had sitting at the table. I finally got up and asked a manager if there was some reason there wasn't a server willing to serve me. He took my order and brought me coffee. A few minutes later the manager delivered my food. The only interaction I had with servers were to bring me my bill and to see if they could clear my plate. Two different servers were interested in getting paid or getting me out of there so that they could serve someone else. I'm disappointed and I won't be returning. read more

Coming from a 9 year old, I think First Watch has great service and me and my parents food was delicious and came out in less than 10 minutes, that's the fastest time I've ever gotten food besides literal fast food places!! My food (chocolate chip pancake w/ a side of bacon & grits) was deliciously made with very fluffy, well, is it doe?? Anyways, I recommend first watch 100%, if I could, I would go everyday!!! I've been coming to this location since it opened. Years ago I used to come every Saturday. As time has gone on, the quality has definitely declined. Food used to come out so quickly, now it takes a good 30-40min after ordering. My eggs are always either very undercooked or brown. And all the portions seem a lot smaller (especially on takeout). It's just really disappointing because I have always loved coming here. read more

A little disappointing. Reviews and pictures looked good. I didn't see a lot of the pictures dishes on the menu. Maybe they were specials. Got the trifecta with waffle. Waffle was soggy. My wife had the strawberry cheesecake French toast and I had the Italian. To start with, her's was amazing. Her French toast was rich creamy and sweet overall absolutely delicious. It is very similar to French toast I had at my other favorite breakfast place and the stuffed French toast there is amazing and only seasonally available. This is available year-round so I am going to be stopping by here a lot. My Italian breakfast was amazing as well, it was on the lighter side, so it wasn't very heavy and it was refreshing. Prosciutto on top of the eggs benedict over toast with a small spring mix salad and a light dressing. It wasn't until after I finished eating the sandwich, well, sort of sandwich, that I realized I was supposed to put some of the greens onto the half sandwich. Either way all of the food was delicious and I strongly recommend anybody who is nearby should stop here for their food read more

The food is amazing but the staff is what makes this establishment great. If they make a mistake they own up to it. Always taken care of here and the service goes above the minimum requirement of the majority of establishments around here. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. read more

First Watch has quickly become my favorite spot to grab food and this location is great! Their dishes never disappoint and the staff is always welcoming and accommodating. Their sesonal menu always features new and delicious dishes and their juices are great. I am slightly addicted to the Kale Tonic and will sometimes swing by just to grab it to go. I recently moved to Sarasota with my husband and when ever we have visting friends and family, we take them to this First Watch and everyone leaves happy and full. We have been going to FW for several years and the last year or so there has been a significant deterioration in the food quality. Their claim is that everything is "fresh". Hmmm.. Creamer that doesn't need refrigeration doesn't strike me as fresh. When I asked for real cream or whole milk for the coffee, the server said that they only have 1% milk. That isn't enough to mellow out their bitter coffee. They used to have a pitcher of water on the table with lemon; a nice touch; now they don't even fill the water glasses. The restaurant was not busy, but our food arrived cold. With the other options in the area, this is a -WNR - will not return. read more

The traditional breakfast is very good and the Floridian French toast is also very good. If you order an omelette make sure you ask for cracked eggs other wise they give you egg beaters. The service is always excellent . read more
