Hu Tieu Bo Sate from Pure Street Food
Lea S.

My cousin and I were in town and decided to try out this place since we weren't quite sure what we wanted to eat but wanted to have a good selection to choose from. And what better way than to go to a food hall? There's plenty of street parking available, so you shouldn't have any trouble finding a spot. Additionally, there's a good amount of seating available as well, so you could fit a big party if needed. There's also an enclosed outdoor seating too with heat warmers, so if you can't find something inside, you can try out there. I believe there are about 10 food places for you to choose from, so surely you'll find something you like! I ended up getting getting the hu tieu bo sate from Pure Street Food since I was craving something soupy in the cold weather. It def hit the spot! Spicy, tender, and oh so tasty. Definitely would come back again!

What a cute food hall! Lots of options and ample seating. Went to the bar at the back to grab a drink. Caesar was tasty!

It's not actually pretty good, it's really good!!

We wish there was a market such as this in our downtown Langley core! We were staying almost across the street for three nights while in town for a Christmas party. We ended up at this market a couple times, and likely would have been more than that if we hadn't discovered it 18 hours after our arrival. I enjoyed the wrap late afternoon after a poor breakfast at Hotel Arts earlier in the day. The lovely K was at her Company headquarters when I ventured into the cold with an empty stomach. The wrap was great, as was the conversation I had with one of the merchants that sold Italian and burgers prior to picking the wrap as a lighter alternative. The Saturday night we walked over and went to "Actually Pretty Good" pizza after eliminating most of the other places due to our previous two nights of gluttony! The pizza and salad were great, as was the show while they made our pizza. The place was pretty empty as it was later in the evening (sense a trend here towards eating late?!) which was great with us. The wine at the bar in the market was great, the food great, and the experience, although different from a couple nights earlier also worth coming back for.

If I knew this place existed earlier in my trip to Calgary I would have went more often. It's such a cool concept, lots of different eateries all under one roof with a great variety of options depending on what you're crazy. The vibes were great - it was busy but casual and fun. We went with Friends with Benedicts. Unfortunately, they were out of eggs at the time (major bummer) but it worked out because I noticed the chicken and waffles (which I love!) The savory waffles were absolutely delicious, as was the chicken. 10/10!

Love love love this market for it's concept as well as the execution. It's a one stop shop for food. You got Coffee shop, pasta, pizza, tacos, Indian food, noodle bar, salad and smoothie bar and also a real bar. The common seating area is the highlight and not just that but also the interiors are very clean and vibrant with plants everywhere! What a nice touch Definitely coming back here.. already tried a few things and would want to try more of the stores in the future

This bustling food hall is clean and exciting. The service is super friendly and the food is pretty fast. I especially recommend the pizza place and the Indian street food! Try the vamped up Hawaiian with spicy ham and pickled peppers or the puri and chickpea curry.

Most recently, I had the savory sesame donut with char siu from Pure Street Food, which was so good and hit the spot. Honestly, I like it better than the pho. I also got the Add a Lil Spice from Friends with Benedict's and it was disappointing--basically just a bunch of tater tots with some toppings, but barely even spicy and mostly just...tater tot-y. There are better items on the menu.

Must get. It's so good and crispy. It's in the noodle bar inside 1st street market.

Sesame ball was so good. In the noodle bar inside 1st market. It's very yummy. Will have again.

New food hall that's worth trying over and over. Tacos from Moose and Poncho are overstuffed with fresh ingredients. Very tasty plates of Indian street food at Saffron Street and delicious Italian food at La Mano. There are other vendors as well. Just haven't had a chance to try them yet.

Originally 4 stars but 5 stars given they professionally remedied the situation…read more I went here on a Tuesday morning for brunch and it was still fairly busy, but I was seated immediately. If you show up after 9am, be prepared to wait a bit or make reservations in advance on Toast to be safe. I tried their newer item, birria de res eggs benedict, which is served on cheese bannock, an indigenous Canadian bread, and opted to sub potatoes/salad for garlic fried rice for 3 CAD surcharge, which is well worth it. The beef was tender and the eggs are perfectly runny and the cheese bannock added heartiness and a more unique texture compared to English muffin. It is a combo of Mexican, indigenous Canadian, and Filipino influences all in 1 dish! To pair with the food, I had a pineapple mimosa which was of good portion. Originally, the dish had hair so I caught it and flagged the issue, so they immediately remade the whole dish for me, apologized, and comped my mimosa so despite losing 10 min of my time, I am okay with this remedy, so I rate this experience for the food and service outside of this incident. This is one of the more innovative and delicious brunch spots I have tried, so it is no surprise this place is fairly hyped up

It came with thick cut smoked salmon on top of sushi seasoned rice with poached eggs, seaweed, and spinach on the side. The seaweed pieces tasted old and were hard to chew. The seasoned rice had too much vinegar in it. The poached egg and salmon tasted fine. It also came with miso soup but it tasted strange, not sure why there was oil in it... miso soup usually does not contain oil. My fiance got the Breakfast in Manila and thought it was alright as well. The rice was too salty and the sausage tasted like low quality meat. It seemed like they were short on waitresses and it took a while for them to take our order and for us to get the check. This place is also a plant store and it felt cozy. Overall had a decent experience.

We were shocked to find another couple sitting at our reserved table--frankly, I hadn't anticipated it would be a shared table for eight in the first place. To make matters worse, we were rushed to order and pay the bill. After that couple left, another pair were seated at our six-person table without any explanation. Our dishes arrived in two separate waves with a 10-minute gap. They also automatically added an 18% tip for parties of more than five people, which I expect at least we should have a private table. When I expressed my dissatisfaction to the server, the owner came out and became confrontational and aggressive. He raised his voice, saying I could "tell him what I am not satisfied with." Then he offered a refund, which I immediately declined, and afterward snatched a package of coffee from the counter and offered it as compensation. I refused again--it felt more like an insult than a genuine apology. After we posted our reviews, the owner privately messaged my friend, asking us to remove them and citing the "small Chinese community" as a reason we should support each other. That's incredibly manipulative. Using community guilt to pressure customers into deleting honest feedback is inappropriate and only reinforces our negative experience. I will not be returning.

By the time it arrived, everything was stone cold. The cheese was literally hard from melting and then going cold, the potatoes were undercooked and raw, and the entire meal was completely inedible. Spending $35 on food that went straight in the garbage is beyond frustrating, it's infuriating. And the $5 "seasonal fruit bowl" looked like someone's picked-over leftovers. A couple random pieces tossed in a container and sent out like that's acceptable? It's honestly disgusting and shows a complete lack of quality control. At this point, I would've been better off ordering McDonald's for a third of the price, because at least it would've shown up hot and edible. This is careless, overpriced, and completely unacceptable. 1STAR. Complete fail.

The menu had good breakfast options. I opted for the Seoul-wich with an Arnold Palmer to drink. My bro had the Bro's breakfast with a Bro'kin coffee blend to drink. Both dishes looked great. The Seol-wich was really tasty and a good size. My bro said he enjoyed his meal. Our server Rachel was friendly and attentive. All staff were great. I definitely will come back and try other menu items.
