This all started after receiving an email from this AmeriGuard on 3/8/26 stating that my mom's payment was late and they added a $10 late fee. This confused me as I seen chase bill bay sent them a check on 2/23/26, clearly seen in her bank account. I emailed them immediately, including a picture of the funds removed from her account and sent to them. I called the following day to follow up. It took several attempts of explanation to get the owner to comprehend what had happened. I told him we would get back with him the next day. That being today, my mom went there to pay in person after the bank placed a stop payment on the check they never received. Mom had me on the phone to explain to them we would like to set up automatic debit to keep this from happening again. The owners son said they could do it with her debit card and it would come out on the 5th of each month or maybe the 9th. I asked if it could be set up for the 3rd and the that's when the owner started screaming at us. I calmly asked if I could speak to him because it went from a seemingly normal business conversation to irrational outburst of yelling. He refused. It angers me that my mom has given this type of person A LOT of money over the years. YEARS of being a paying customer and this is how we are treated. I would definitely not recommend this facility. There are storage facilities literally everywhere. Go somewhere else.
