I started with the Toucan Sam drink which was the only rum drink on their menu of specialty cocktails. It's a really good drink that is slightly bitter due to the campari and toasted almond bitters. For food, I was craving a burger but I visited on the wrong day. I chose the Thai style wings and a carne asada taco. Wings - the wings were decent but I got tired of eating them after the first 2. The thai peppers that it came with were not very spicy at all. The meat was also a little challenging to get off the bones for some reason. Taco - I enjoyed this better than the wings, even though this was smaller. Service was decent but not perfect. I was already ready to leave and then they asked if I wanted another drink. They were about 5 mins late since the bar area wasn't actively manned during a majority of my visit.

We got there around 5:30pm which was the perfect time to be able to get a seat because within the hour it was already standing room only. Our waitress started out good but but as time went on so did her attention to check on us without us having to flag her down. They have a really good food menu and I really wanted to try everything and there was constant flow of DoorDash & GrubHub pick-ups. I decided on the Trio which comes with Henny Wings, Fried Shrimp and Catfish nuggets, my husband got the Ground Lamb Sliders with fries. Whwn I tell you the food was AMAZING!!!! One of the workers was kind enough to give me and my Yelp BFF the lay of the land. He shared that Flyleaf was hosting a Boy Band event with great music playing and lots of patrons taking advantage of their Sunday Brunch offerings. It was very festive and standing room only at the moment. They host various theme events every month. Although I have included the menu, their food offerings change too. They had a great book selection. I was impressed that they had four books featured that I recently purchased. Here is the lay of the land: Check in at the little red table in the center of the outdoor courtyard if you want "full service". - which means eating and drinking at a table with wait staff. We ordered several of the small plate "snacks" and I can tell you that the hummus is not to be missed. It is served with (homemade?) tortilla chips that are absolutely addictive.
