Cream chipped beef on toast and home fries.
Mark T.

I reviewed this place a couple years ago when we stumbled upon it. We liked it so much we went back twice during our stay. This trip, we saw it again on nearby eats. Had to come back! Just as I remember. Best Chipped beef I've ever had. It's not bland like everywhere else. It's absolutely phenomenal. Staff is as friendly as I remember, just an absolute great place to eat. And it's a really nice place! Comfortable and priced great! When we're in town again I will absolutely be returning again!

I had a wonderful experience at this cozy cafe! The food was absolutely delicious. The staff was friendly and attentive, making me feel right at home

Best breakfast in town. Local mom n pop shop with really great food

Well I must say I was impressed. I was not sure what to expect but it had great reviews so I had to give it a try. This restaurant is such a great mom n pop shop. The staff was so friendly and attentive as well. The town doesn't have too many restaurants in this area so we were really glad we found this place...we went 2 days in a row, so long story short we enjoyed it. They have a very simple breakfast and lunch menu. When you arrive you order at the front and then find your seat wherever you wish. The place is small but cozy. The food comes out pretty quickly. The things we tried were all really good. Pancakes, omelettes, biscuits and gravy. It was the perfect home cooking style. I want to come try their lunch next time.

My son and i found this place when we took a trip to PA to go ziplining at the skytop Lodge. On the way there we stop by grab 2 breakfast sandwiches and we took the menu as well, I've got the the campsite and I was delighted by the sandwiches. I've told my son that we have to review the menu and maybe we can stop by on the way home and we did. We headed home around 2:30 pm and I've told my kid, we need to try some other items. AGAIN. We were amazed by buffalo wings, the chicken parm sandwich and the sirracha burger. Omg such a small place with amazing food, the owner Josh was very very nice to us.. If you ever around the area, stop by and you won't be disappointed. Love this place

Grilled Chicken Melt with a side of split pea soup

We were on a weekend vacation from Philadelphia and looking for an easy place for lunch and were so happy we found this gem. Don't let the simplistic decor fool you, the food here is really great and well priced. I got the Turkey Rachel - crisp, gooey cheese, grilled perfectly. My husband got the Grilled Chicken Melt - bread was excellent and chicken was moist. We were actually a bit surprised at how good the food was not to mention how nice the staff was. Although we didn't need it for our visit, they have a grocery area if you want to pick up some simple camping foods which is a nice add on. The only downside...for being a cafe the coffee was subpar. But overall - a 5 star experience!

The food was so fresh and everything homemade. It was like an oasis in the middle of the woods. Love.

This is a great place to stop for breakfast or lunch. Fresh salads and sandwiches and very convenient. No other place like it in the area.

There is maybe a couple of those in the general area but I like this one more. They have excellent coffee, macarons, cannoli, cakes and I think that the location just off 611 in Mount Pocono helps as well. They also have food on the menu which I would love to have again. The cafe is small and intimate which is great and it is located inside the building with a spa so if coffee and pastries are not your thing maybe some treatments will be. Service is wonderful as it is run by a husband and wife team. Can't wait for the summer when they have an outdoor setting as well.

The food as very good. The Chicken Cranberry Croissant (toasted croissant with pulled chicken and cranberry salad with arugula salad) was our favorite. I've come back while driving through just for that chicken sandwich. Unfortunately we were traveling with it and I asked them to separate all the items for us and they did not. Would have been nice to reconstruct it ourselves and not have a soggy sandwich when we got to our destination. Much better to eat immediately so make sure you do that. I would have to say space is limited and the placement of the furniture makes it hard to dine in. It was very interesting because there were parties smaller than us and they all seemed cramped as well. We sat at the corner table right when you walk in on the left, we all had to sit on the bench because the circular table in the middle of the space blocked us from sitting on the other side of our table. It was very awkward because it was hard for our party to get out and the other table was full and wasn't being helpful by scooching a bit haha. I would recommend the food here but only if you're in a small party and looking for a quick bite.

Popular plates found at Tom's include various egg dishes, omelettes, pancakes, French toast, Belgian waffles, and breakfast sandwiches. Many locals feel that Tom's doesn't just serve the best breakfast in Barrett Township but the best breakfast in all of the Poconos. My family and I visited Tom's this past weekend while we were having a relaxing getaway in the Poconos. We were originally going to stop at a bakery to get something for breakfast, but upon arriving there we discovered that they were closed for vacation. We then pulled out the Yelp app to see if there were any other good breakfast spots nearby. Lo and behold, Tom's was just a short drive down the street. This place is a total hidden gem tucked behind a gas station. Upon entering, we realized quickly that this was an establishment that the locals frequent. I ended up ordering the Eggs Benedict with Corned Beef Hash, Poached Eggs & Hollandaise on an English Muffin with Homefries off of the Specials Board. This was what I call authentic country cooking! Everything was perfect! My wife ordered Scrambled Eggs with Bacon, Homefries and Rye Toast and she said that it really hit the spot. Our son had Belgian Waffles with Bananas and Whipped Cream and he attacked it. The staff were very friendly and the service was excellent. We are so happy that we discovered Tom's and we would definitely stop again on a future trip to the Poconos.

Definitely a locals' spot! A small hometown atmosphere for sure. Food was pretty diner standard but…read moregood. Service was a bit quirky but efficient and friendly.

We are fresh off of a stay at the Mountaintop Lodge at Lake Naomi and already can't wait to return…read more My wife and I are big fans of B&B's so if the have a comfortable bed and a warm breakfast, it's hard for me to give them a poor review. We stayed in Room 10 which features a king size bed and a large soaking tub. The bed was comfortable, clean, and the bathroom was sizable. We always felt like there was a lot of space to unwind and relax when we were in our room. We were offered the Fall menu when we were there. On day 1 I had the apple crumble French toast (AMAZING) and I'm not even a big French toast guy. Your table has fresh orange juice, water, and coffee/tea when you come down and get seated. Loved this. On day 2 I had the traditional breakfast and enjoyed it thoroughly. The staff was friendly and accommodating - as expected from a well run B&B. We were on site for a small gathering of gamer friends and so I also tried some of their offerings in the small cafe. I tried Italian wedding soup for lunch and got several hot tea drinks. All excellent. They have a small "snack room" near the main entrance that has popcorn, and water, coffee maker, and other small amenities to make your stay more enjoyable. Overall, this was one of the most visitor-focused B&B we've had the pleasure of staying in. It sounds obvious to say that, but it his place really puts your money to work to make you enjoy your stay. Thank you!
