After spending the day visiting distilleries, I was ready for something a little different, so my husband suggested we stop by McIntyre & Family Winery. I'm so glad we did. From the moment we walked in, we felt genuinely welcomed. Nikki greeted us, took the time to explain their wines and tasting options, and made us feel right at home. A little while later, the owner, who is also named Nikki, came over to introduce herself. Both of these ladies were incredibly kind, down-to-earth, and passionate about what they do. What was supposed to be a quick stop turned into two wonderful hours of conversation, laughter, and wine tasting. I've visited quite a few wineries over the years, but this one truly stood out. I loved how unique and creative the wines were. They weren't afraid to offer something different, with wines like Corn Cob, Daylily, and Rose Petal Tea. I know some of those might sound unusual, but they're absolutely worth trying with an open mind. My personal favorite was the Blackberry Truffle--it was unlike anything I've ever tasted and, without question, the bottle I couldn't leave without. One thing I also appreciated was that they had beer available for anyone in the group who isn't a wine drinker, making it a place everyone can enjoy. More than anything, what made this visit so memorable wasn't just the wine--it was the people. You can tell there's a lot of heart behind this winery, and that kind of hospitality is something you don't forget. If you ever find yourself in Bardstown, I can't recommend McIntyre & Family Winery enough. It ended up being one of the highlights of our trip, and I already know we'll be back.

My husband and I love stopping in here when we are near Bardstown because it is so different from your typical winery. All of their wines are made from the berries, fruit, etc that they are named after and not with grapes, so it is always fun to try the different wines they offer. We brought our friends with us this time since we were all on our way to Heaven Hill for a distillery tour together. They had a fun time for their first visit and we both ended up purchasing a bottle of their corn cob wine (we also got a semi-sweet cranberry wine). Shannon (or maybe her name was Sharon) was so friendly and kept us laughing with jokes during our tasting. She gave us some tips on what wines paired well together or with a cocktail. She also told us how long some of the wines take to make, where they source some of their berries, etc. Can't wait until our next visit!

Simply put, Huber's is a machine, a well-oiled machine…read more My wife grew up visiting Huber's several times a year for Christmas trees, pumpkins, fresh produce, and just about everything else the farm has to offer. When she moved me up here many years ago, one of the first places she took me was Huber's. We've been back countless times over the years, and it never disappoints. Our latest visit included my nephew, his new wife, my niece, and her 10-year-old son. My niece-in-law is from New York City and had never experienced life on a farm. (Last year, we took her to pet a horse for the first time!) So when she wanted to go peach and apple picking, Huber's was the obvious choice. Let's just say she and my 10-year-old great-nephew absolutely loved riding the trams and picking fresh fruit. My nephew and niece enjoyed themselves too, even though they both grew up on a farm in Georgia. My wife and I took a more relaxing approach, sampling some of Huber's excellent adult beverage offerings while enjoying the live band. It was the perfect way to spend an afternoon. All in all, Huber's once again lived up to its reputation as one of the best family destinations around. It offers something for everyone, whether you're looking for fresh produce, family activities, live music, or a great place to unwind. I normally end my reviews by saying, "I'll be back." With Huber's, it's never a question of if--only when. Halloween is just around the corner, and we'll be looking for pumpkins.

I use to take my daughter there for the horseback riding and the petting zoo ! 15 plus years ago ONE OF HER FAVORITES WAS WALKING OVER TO THEIR CHEESE AND ICE CREAM FACTORY IT HAS CHANGED UNFORTUNATELY She loved watching through a glass window and see them making cheese and ice cream! That was one of her favorites their ice cream back then had more taste the ice cream they THEY HAVE NOW you can't taste any flavor in the ice cream ITS SO BLAND i bought the homemade peach ice cream it tasted like plain vanilla ice cream NO PEACH TASTE what so ever I swapped it out for salted Carmel I could not taste the salted Carmel at all I might as well just ordered vanilla. A pajama night and wine? Sign me up! There is parked and according to their website, they do free tastings. Since it was an after hours event, we didn't do a tasting. I had a glass of the half-hearted wine while waiting for the rest of our group to show up. Once the party arrived, we bought a bottle of Bam! and enjoyed catching up. The barn is beautiful and available for rental. They have been having event nights once a month with both beer and wine available for purchase. I'm looking forward to coming back and checking out their full wine list! The wines I tasted were right up my alley.

It is a nice venue for weddings and parties. We got to taste a few wines (mostly the sweet wines). Im not big on red wine I prefer my wine sweet. They do also have wine slushees in Grape and Cherry flavored. I had grape of course and it was delicious. I even bought a bottle of their wine but, you can only buy the bottles there and it's not sold in stores. It is a small family owned winery. And the lady that hosted our tasting was a great host and gave us the backstory of the place. I do plan on returning at some point in time. This is an awesome getaway from the city if your ever looking for an escape from it.
