All of the Professors here actually care about each and every individual student and go above and beyond do to all they can! Not only the Professors, but the office staff and the Dean also! Best Math Professor in the world goes to: Mark Wilson I don't care how much you hate math or how many times you say you'll never be able to learn math. Trust me, you WILL learn from this amazing Professor! He will not only teach you math, he will have you absolutely loving math. Never in my life have I seen a math instructor who can make it fun and get everyone to understand the material. Mr. Wilson, I stand and applaud you!!!! After graduating in the Spring of 2008, I still to this day call up Mr. Wilson and have a chat every month or so. He's so good he actually had me wanting to switch my major to math. No kidding. That's a pretty big deal considering English and writing have been my entire life! Best English Professor in the world goes to: Roger Vacarro Totally down to Earth and an amazingly cool man! Since 9th grade in High School, I have had Honors English. Not one instructor ever pointed out to me the number of times I used the word "that" when writing. The majority of the time, you can just remove the word "that" and the sentence continues to make sense; it's generally an unnecessary word. Tons of writing in his class; however, tons of fun! If you get the chance, I highly recommend you take his film class, even if you don't need the class. Another Professor I still call and we have chats. Best History Professor in the world goes to: Mark Little I have always hated history. HATE HATE HATE!!! Mr. Little wastes no time and goes right into lecture on the first day and I fell in love with history on the very first day. Now I'm in love with the past. I am constantly googling things from history and when I find a particular subject which really fascinates me, I call up Mr. Little and we have a discussion. He fills me in on all the details I can't ever quite seem to find online. I honestly think there is nothing in history this man does not know. I can go on and on about other wonderful Professors all day, but I will surely run out of characters. If you want to go to college and walk away with a solid education, this is the place for you! However, keep in mind, nothing will be handed to you on a silver platter, you still have to actually attend class and do that other thing... what's it called?? Oh yes... studying! A HUGE thank you to everyone at St. John's River Community College who made a difference in my life. You may not be mentioned here by name, but you know who you are and know you will always have a place in my heart!

I felt like Marty McFly and Doc transported us from the 21st Century to the Gilded Age of 1888,…read morewhere we were dropped on opening day of Henry Flagler's exquisite masterpiece, The Ponce de León Hotel. We were simply astonished and taken aback by the colonial Spanish architecture and heritage, exuding beauty and picturesque scenes at every corner. Absolutely breathtaking. After WW II, the hotel never quite recovered and was later sold and turned into what it is today, Flagler College. It began as a private college for women, but since then is now a coeducational private liberal arts school. As we walked through the courtyard, we seen several artists capturing moments in time, some with a renaissance flair and vibe, others catching nature's simplicity. To be honest, once we arrived in St. Augustine, I seen some videos from Instagram about the Fountain, and it piqued our interest and decided to make it a stop. Zero regrets! You will love the ornate detailing behind the wood work, masonry, art, and stained glass windows along with the rich history. 1000% recommend, and as always, enjoy and Happy exploring!

We stopped by Flagler College while visiting St. Augustine and honestly it's worth a walk around…read more The grounds are really well kept and pretty to just stroll through. The standout is definitely the main dome building inside. The interior is genuinely stunning, like the kind of place that makes you feel like you're in Europe somewhere rather than Florida. We were not expecting that at all. We also happened to walk through the quad right as some kind of dunk tank event was going on where students were getting people to pay to try to dunk faculty members. We had no idea what was going on but we stopped and watched for a while because how could you not? If you're already in St. Augustine it's an easy and free thing to add to your day. Just walk around, admire the beauty, and hope you get lucky enough to catch something fun happening on campus like we did.

This is a private physical medicine and physical therapy school located behind Flagler Hospital…read moreright at the foot of the 312 bridge. We come here for continuing education courses, but you can also attend for a professional degree. In terms of continuing education, the courses are great! But this is not a fun place to visit. It's not well designed and between the depressing structure and ridiculously high level of security, it has the feel of a really nice prison. Seriously, I was there for 10 minutes, was buzzed in, had to put a parking pass in my car, and every door had a card key lock on it. The security guard was incredibly interested in me. It was weird. But what really bothers me about this school is their horrible website. It's virtually impossible to navigate! Want to find info on your course work? Good luck, let me know how that goes. It's just about impossible. The campus, if you can call it that, consists of two buildings and a basketball court. The parking lots are mostly shells with the one closest to the buildings being tiny, paved and apparently not for use by just anyone. The classrooms are okay, nothing special. I like the treatment beds. And for permanent degree seeking students there appears to be ample space, collegiality and lounges for study groups, socializing, etc.

Let me start by saying that this feedback is specifically for the Austin DPT school…read more I wanted to post my feedback anonymously so it wouldn't harm my reputation with prior teachers because the faculty are wonderful people and I don't want them to think less of me. But they are stretched very thin and often have too many other things going on like teaching multiple classes or being students in other programs. But it's utterly ridiculous that this school prioritized faculty PhDs *research driven* over board specializations *clinical driven* for teaching us when we are in a clinical profession. At least that's how it was when I was a student. They did have OCS faculty teaching ortho courses but the other classes were completely neglected. I would heard a lot of trash talk from PTs about St. Augustine and how low quality its students are while I was going through PT school. But it wasn't until I graduated and started actually having students of my own from other schools that I realized what different levels we were on. STUDENTS from other schools knew much more than I did as a PT and that was really eye opening given I did very well in school AND paid 4x the cost for my education than they did. Specifically after giving birth to my daughter I realized that I knew nothing about pediatrics. I seriously had no clue how to help her despite loving pediatrics in school and did well but learned ultimately nothing. After looking into why that might have been I noticed that just about every other school in Texas has at least one on faculty member that is a PCS and teaches pediatrics but our program in Austin didn't. At least that's how it was when I was there and I think its still that way. Thats a huge issue! I didn't think much of it while I was a student but the difference in clinical knowledge between them and a PhD is crazy. I had to use the PT specialist database to find a PCS in my area and I had no idea how rare they were in Austin so maybe that's why there wasn't one of staff. But ultimately that doesn't speak well for the school and I am understanding more as years go by why PTs tend to avoid letting students from St. Augustine have rotations at their sites. But again I love the faculty and those teaching pediatrics weren't bad people. They were super sweet. But being sweet doesn't really help in practice later or if you have a child with complications. Also this doesn't just apply to pediatrics. I'm just using that as an example since I've had such a tough time with my daughter and had to find mentor PTs that graduated from any other school than mine.
