The standout is definitely the main dome building inside. The interior is genuinely stunning, like the kind of place that makes you feel like you're in Europe somewhere rather than Florida. We were not expecting that at all. We also happened to walk through the quad right as some kind of dunk tank event was going on where students were getting people to pay to try to dunk faculty members. We had no idea what was going on but we stopped and watched for a while because how could you not? If you're already in St. Augustine it's an easy and free thing to add to your day. Just walk around, admire the beauty, and hope you get lucky enough to catch something fun happening on campus like we did.

This is a private physical medicine and physical therapy school located behind Flagler Hospital…read moreright at the foot of the 312 bridge. We come here for continuing education courses, but you can also attend for a professional degree. In terms of continuing education, the courses are great! But this is not a fun place to visit. It's not well designed and between the depressing structure and ridiculously high level of security, it has the feel of a really nice prison. Seriously, I was there for 10 minutes, was buzzed in, had to put a parking pass in my car, and every door had a card key lock on it. The security guard was incredibly interested in me. It was weird. But what really bothers me about this school is their horrible website. It's virtually impossible to navigate! Want to find info on your course work? Good luck, let me know how that goes. It's just about impossible. The campus, if you can call it that, consists of two buildings and a basketball court. The parking lots are mostly shells with the one closest to the buildings being tiny, paved and apparently not for use by just anyone. The classrooms are okay, nothing special. I like the treatment beds. And for permanent degree seeking students there appears to be ample space, collegiality and lounges for study groups, socializing, etc.

Let me start by saying that this feedback is specifically for the Austin DPT school…read more I wanted to post my feedback anonymously so it wouldn't harm my reputation with prior teachers because the faculty are wonderful people and I don't want them to think less of me. But they are stretched very thin and often have too many other things going on like teaching multiple classes or being students in other programs. But it's utterly ridiculous that this school prioritized faculty PhDs *research driven* over board specializations *clinical driven* for teaching us when we are in a clinical profession. At least that's how it was when I was a student. They did have OCS faculty teaching ortho courses but the other classes were completely neglected. I would heard a lot of trash talk from PTs about St. Augustine and how low quality its students are while I was going through PT school. But it wasn't until I graduated and started actually having students of my own from other schools that I realized what different levels we were on. STUDENTS from other schools knew much more than I did as a PT and that was really eye opening given I did very well in school AND paid 4x the cost for my education than they did. Specifically after giving birth to my daughter I realized that I knew nothing about pediatrics. I seriously had no clue how to help her despite loving pediatrics in school and did well but learned ultimately nothing. After looking into why that might have been I noticed that just about every other school in Texas has at least one on faculty member that is a PCS and teaches pediatrics but our program in Austin didn't. At least that's how it was when I was there and I think its still that way. Thats a huge issue! I didn't think much of it while I was a student but the difference in clinical knowledge between them and a PhD is crazy. I had to use the PT specialist database to find a PCS in my area and I had no idea how rare they were in Austin so maybe that's why there wasn't one of staff. But ultimately that doesn't speak well for the school and I am understanding more as years go by why PTs tend to avoid letting students from St. Augustine have rotations at their sites. But again I love the faculty and those teaching pediatrics weren't bad people. They were super sweet. But being sweet doesn't really help in practice later or if you have a child with complications. Also this doesn't just apply to pediatrics. I'm just using that as an example since I've had such a tough time with my daughter and had to find mentor PTs that graduated from any other school than mine.

The cosmetology department here is worth going to for esthetician and beauty services. This month,…read morethey had free haircuts. I've had satisfactory to excellent work here done on my hair. It might take longer than a regular hair salon, since the students are still learning their craft. The prices are low, and the customer service is great. Maria Hurtado put some brilliant blue highlights in my hair that pop in the sunlight. So beautiful.

Clean and the best maintained campus we visited, and we visited 15 Universities. The surrounding area is all ew and beautiful as well. I bit to close to the beach which can be alluring. great weather 12 months a year.
