you just think you're are getting a well built shower…read more... in 2026, i filed a complaint filed against dk&b to texas state board of plumbing examiners (tsbpe) regarding major latent defect in my shower installed by dk&b. tspbe final findings/actions against dk&b: 1. no responsible master plumber performing work despite my contract stating dk&b was licensed, 2.permit required; not obtained 3. tspbe assessed an administrative penalty against dk&b for "contracting for major plumbing without a responsible master plumber 4. cease-and-desist order was issued by tsbpe against dk&b for or agreeing to provide plumbing work without securing the services of a responsible master plumber in violation of the texas plumbing license law. per tspbe dk&b violated section 18 licensing whereby contractor (dk&b) represented to owner (resident) that he is licensed under the laws and statute of the state of texas language in the contract stating that dk&b was licensed. other tspbe findings: 1. dk&b violated section 18 licensing of my contract with dk&b whereby dk&b represented to owner (resident) that he was licensed under the laws and statute of the state of texas but was, per tsbpe, not licensed. 2 . tspbe found no sub-contract language contained in my contract regarding any plumbing work to another plumbing company with responsible master plumber. 3. tspbe commented that dk&b jackhammered and left uncovered a hole 18x8 -inches below drain floor and it was not prepared for schluter board and tile; only plywood to give support to the schluter board. 4. tspbe noted resident contracted had detailed pricing for substantial plumbing work 5. tpbpe's physical examination confirmed drain and short 2- inch pvc piping had never been cemented together. 6. on 4/21/2026 in call with tsbpe, michael g. morgan (owner of dk&b) confirmed that he did in fact contract the plumbing and did not realize that he could not contract plumbing services!! it's been over one (1) year from formal notice to dk&b regarding latent defect with no contact or offer for reimbursement of my costs to repair latent defect. it's been two months since tspbe assessed a penalty and cease-and-desist order against dk&b, with no contact from dk&b. warning: dk&b did not perform work to standard plumbing (per tsbpe); or schluter standards (per schulter area rep that witnessed demolition of my defective shower floor) ; does not stand by their work; and does not comply with terms of its contract.

I have a kitchen faucet situation where the faucet that is in my kitchen that needs to be replaced is kind of an old-school faucet, and I have had difficulty finding options to replace it and yet I want to replace it with something similar because of the holes that are drilled in my granite countertops. Mariam was quick to find me solutions and even had a few different options that I can go with. She was knowledgeable and helpful and very pleasant to work with.
