I don't know him at all and just decided on him through a yelp search. After about a 15 minute phone conversation explaining the issue, Darrell said that he'd stop by the following day to take a look. He ended up giving me some suggestions so that I might fix the problem myself but said that he'd be happy to do the repair if I need him to do it. I'm very pleased to tell you that it's been a week and the leak seems to be fixed. He didn't even charge me for his time and effort. Very coincidently, my water heater went out later that day. I called Darrell and explained my dilemma and he agreed to change some appointments around so that he could install a new one the next day. One day without hot water is enough for me to Darrell was super friendly, honest, very capable, and allowed me to work with him as to save a little money on the labor. I'm definitely going to hire him whenever I have the need.

The run around I received from staff regarding where / how to purchase and then to coordinate delivery was absolutely ridiculous. I should have left there. They charge extra for delivery INTO a house / property. Basic delivery only covers to a driveway or garage. They hire independent contractors to handle their deliveries, those contractors are super rude to customers. The guy called me to tell me he couldn't do the delivery since he didn't have another guy with him, didn't care when I said I'd call the store, and then hung up on me. I called the store, explained the situation only to receive "so what's your question?" by their staff. I also never received any communication from the general manager, as he was emailed as well. The contractor ended up going back to Menards to pick up one of their staff members to help with this delivery. This was discussed with me around 5pm -- delivery didn't happen until almost 7:30pm; I received no update and had to call them to see when I might be able to expect the delivery. During the delivery, this contractor was literally raising his voice and screaming at me, always trying to get his two cents in. I had to ask him several times to stop yelling at me, and eventually ended up telling him that he's said enough this evening. Only reason I'm giving them a two star review is with how polite the second guy was. I never got a basic apology from any of the staff members with how I was treated from the beginning trying to purchase this piece, nor the experience I had with the independent contractor. Constant blame game between the contractor and the staff at Menards.

I recently was shopping in the flooring section and there is no one ever there now, I spoke to a associate in another section and they said corporate is "cleaning house" and everyone was getting fired.
