So I moved out to the area a few years ago and had a hard time trying to find a permanent barber... Until now! First class barber shop is the best in town! Carlos, the owner and one of the barbers, makes for a Very laid back environment where every one is welcome. All the barbers are very skilled and clean! You can definitely tell that these guys love what they do! They have fun and you can't help buy to join in the fun! This definitely has an old school barber shop feel to it where everyone knows who you are all the time. The prices are great. The cuts are awesome. Everyone could get their hair cut here... There is great entrainment (music, sports, video games -for the kids-). This is a place for the whole community! Love sports? They got all the games on! Forgot cash? They got an ATM! I was referred to Firstclass by a client and decided to give it a try. Was very easy to make an appointment with Carlos, who also owns the shop, and he was accommodating of my tight schedule. Upon arriving I was warmly greeted and there was even free wifi while I waited. Carlos totally worked around a large scar on my head and was actually able to blend it in which usually is not accomplished by other barbers. All the barbers are really good at what they do and more importantly students of their craft. One of the biggest things about the barbershop is the atmosphere, it is more in line with the old school barber shops of my childhood. Great conversations, straight razors, and a family feeling. Best barbershop in the east bay and probably the Bay Area, I've been cut by Mac & JD, always came out with a clean and fresh taper and straight line up. Everyone is equally as good. They take a while to cut hair but then again this isn't a cheap 10$ hair cut, they really make sure that their craft is perfect. They can be a little bit talkative but that's a good thing, you actually get to know your barber. Remember to schedule an appointment cause it can get pretty busy. This shop is beyond professional with a great staff behind it all. Personally, my barber is now Joey C. This guy makes you feel right at home and most importantly comfortable in his own work space. I started going to First Class a few months ago and am surprised about the amount of clientele they have accumulated since opening in this location. The guys at first class are all patient and friendly took my kid to get a fresh cut tthey did great even though my kid was Brian all wormy cut came out great!!!! Yes I do recommend to go here.
