I was watching my nephew for the weekend and he mentioned he wanted to get a haircut before he goes back to school on Monday. I go to the nail salon next door all the time so I saw when the barbershop first opened up. I've been trying to convince my boyfriend to try this shop out but he's to loyal to the person that cuts his hair now, good or bad - but that's a story for another time/review. Anyways. I messaged the owner and we set up an appointment for Sunday. Once we got to the establishment we realized that they are closed to the public on Sundays and its appointment only. I was thrilled about that because I was actually sick with a massive headache and wasn't in the most socializing mood. We showed up at 2pm, about 10 mins later my nephew was sitting in the chair. I sat on one of the two comfy couches they have in the shop and I started to watch Men in Black on their flatscreen. 40 mins later my nephews haircut was finished. My nephew couldn't contain his love and excitement for his new haircut, he was so happy with it. I definitely plan on taking my nephew again and still working on convincing my boyfriend to try this shop out!! I'm extremely unhappy with my experience today. I sent my 12 year old in to get a tapper and for top of his hair to be trimmed yet he came out looking like a mushroom. His long curls were all chopped off and the sides faded. His cut was nothing like how it should have been. Previously Patrick cut his hair and I was very much satisfied with the service yet today most definitely was a disappointment. Not to mention he was also over charged. I was previously told not to just let anybody from the shop cut my sons hair as the owner rents out to anyone and this most definitely proved that point. I have no idea how this guy became a barber. He did the exact opposite of what I asked for. I had a full head of hair and he shaved 70% of it off. I was very clear on my instructions and thought he understood because he didn't ask any questions and didn't even check to see if shaving off half my head was the right thing to do.
