Stop before you give Mike any of your money because he is a thief! He is not a man of his word and he stole over five thousand dollars from me. He does not pay attention to detail and I had to pay almost two thousand dollars to fix his mistakes. He took my money and never completed the jobs he was paid for. He refuses to answer my text or phone calls. Do not fall for his fake "nice " character because at first he can be nice and even sometimes charming but he is a snake. We contracted with Mike in 06/2024 to replace our concrete, repair root damage on paver stones and build a concrete patio area in the front yard. About two weeks after the work was completed (07/11/2024) we had a hairline crack in the front patio area. He did two repairs on the crack and the repair looks worse than the hairline crack. We have been trying to get him out to repair the repair and he has stopped responding to text messages and not responding to phone calls. He does not follow up with the 5-year warranty that he promised when we signed the contract. I will be reporting him to the Better Business Bureau. Very disappointing as we thought we were hiring an honest business man. read more

I wasn't going to write a review initially and decided to chalk this up to a bad experience. However I changed my mind after reviewing all the issues I encountered and the time it took for me to correct the issues. I feel I need to make potential customers aware of my experience so they can decide for themselves. Zero stars if I could give them a zero. I had a horrible experience with this company. I would never use them again or recommend them to anyone. I was charged $12,000 for the items listed below. Not one item in the statement of work was done correctly and they caused substantial damage to my yard and property causing me and my family hours of additional work to fix all the issues. 1. Add new mulch front and back. They threw new mulch over existing mulch without cleaning old mulch out so now I have mulch 6-8 inches deep in my yard. 2. Clean up pine needles and weeds front and back. Pine needles were mostly cleaned up after complaining to the owner multiple times but no weeding was done at all. Mulch was put out before the pines trees were trimmed causing more pine needles to fall on the newly laid mulch. 3. Remove rocks on both sides of the house, install new weed barrier and new rocks. Weed barrier was thrown over existing rocks and weeds and new rocks dumped on top leaving me with two layers of weed barrier and rocks on both sides of my home. 4. Build short retaining walls, 2 bricks high in the back yard. Several bricks were chipped and damaged. The wall is not straight and does not go to the end of the berm as promised. There are several gaps between bricks in the new wall. 5. Trim pine trees front and back. It was a chore to get this done and I had to go back and trim several branches myself. The workers left 6-8 inch stubs instead of triming the branches close to the trunk. 6. Workers left deep ruts all over the north side of my yard from driving their truck and trailer all over the yard. I should add the trailer tires were completely bald. It was a chore to get them to fill in the ruts with dirt. 7. They covered all my sweet woodruff ground cover with weed barrier and told me they were doing me a favor by covering up all "my weeds". I had to remove all the weed barrier they installed and spread the mulch out myself so my groundcover could survive. 8. My drip system was damaged in every area where they worked. I found cut drip lines, drip lines cut and tied in a knot, drip lines and sprinklers buried underneath weed barrier, main pipe to the drip system was cracked and broken in half. 9. Drainage pipe connected to my homes downspout was damaged by the workers. After several complaints it was replaced with a PVC pipe. I asked Mike, the owner and his supervisor Saul if the new PVC pipe was connected to the original pipe. I was assured multiple times the pipe was connected all the way through. I dug up the ground suspecting it was not connected. The pipe was cut underground and not connected to anything. I had to dig a trench myself, purchase materials and connect the new PVC pipe to a new drainage pipe. 10. There was virtually no supervision of the crew working onsite. Mike the owner showed up a few times for 5-10 minutes and left. Saul the "supervisor" was pulled off the job half way through the project. With the crew having little to no direction it made for a very difficult project. 11. As a result of all the damage caused and job not preformed to the specifications in the statement of work myself and my family have spent countless hours troubleshooting and fixing sprinkler issues, ripping out weed barrier to access sprinklers that were cut and placed underneath the weed barrier, fixing the drain pipe that was cut underground and not connected to anything, trimming tree branches that should have been cut flush to the tree trunk, weeding areas that were supposed to be weeded and general cleanup. read more

Hire this company with caution! Our job has been paid-in-full for over 30 days, and we still can't get the owner, Mike, to address the multitude of issues, listed below, that we are encountering weekly. To date we have purchased the required repair products and made the fixes ourselves. There is NO QUALITY CONTROL with this company. Potential customers beware. At contract signing we specifically asked Mike for, and were assured by him that there would be, an on-site supervisor during our project. The supervisor, John, spent less than 3 minutes per very limited number of appearances at our home and admitted to us that he had only received a 2-minute walk around with Mike and really had no idea of the contract details. Ultimately, we were left to "supervise" the supervisor and work crew. Be prepared to watch every step of the process this company undertakes. You will be the ONLY quality control on the job. Front Yard: 1. Remove sod and install edging and fabric. Remove old mulch and add river rocks. At bid we specifically addressed with Mike that we wanted the old mulch removed, ground leveled below grade and new fabric and river rock placed. Ground leveling was not done. Yard sprinkler head was left buried under fabric and rock and drip system heads were buried under fabric and/or rock or hanging in bushes. Back Yard: 1. Remove 1 tree, 1 bush and plant 2 new trees. This was done only because we told John it was in our contract. 3 Wheelbarrows of dirt, leftover from 1 of the new plantings, was left in a mound then covered in fabric and rock. 2. Remove Sod, add new edging, add new fabric and river rock to meet existing river rock. The crew used pickaxes to hack the sod out and left multiple, large sod patches intact then covered them with fabric and rock. New fabric and existing fabric were found to have a 6" gap between them. Fabric coverage, in general, is extremely sloppy and we are on our self-purchased 2nd roll of fabric to fix the lack of coverage. New lawn edging was left inches above grass level in multiple places making it impossible to mow over these spots. We finally had to dig and place edging at correct height ourselves. 3. Remove bushes and install paver steps from patio. We had to remind John multiple times that this was in our contract. He appeared to have no idea. Paver steps were installed out of level and had to be fixed. 4. Remove existing red river rock, remove ground cover, install new fabric and new river rock. We are still pulling 5-gallon buckets worth of the original red rock out from around existing bushes, fence posts, etc. Ground cover was hacked at with pickaxes but not fully "removed" then covered in fabric and rock. Drip system lines were cut and/or buried under fabric and rock. Drip system spray heads were either buried in rock or left hung in bushes, old shrub stumps were left 6" above ground then attempted to be covered with fabric and rock. Overall new river rock is sparse in coverage with fabric visible in multiple places. 6. Our final river rock delivery was a completely different color rock. Mike argued with me for 15 minutes saying that it "blended with the new" or "matched existing rock on property" even washing the rock to try to prove it. He agreed to get the right color rock but just put it over the top of the wrong rock. Further conversation led to him pulling and replacing with correct rock. To date Mike will not return to our property and make the necessary fixes. He has told us that the "overall appearance of the completed project is great". Lipstick on a pig is NOT what I paid for. I do believe that aesthetics is all this company cares about, not the quality of their work. read more
