VINCENT thats is the director in Seefu Yorkville fried my hair. I always kept my hair healthy even though i had color on. Seeing my burned hair falling was definitely a nightmare. When i told him he damaged my hair and now my hair is half a length, the only thing he said was "  i know your hair got very damaged  and there is no way to fix this unless you cut it all off ". Like seriously which color expert doesn't know what to use to not ruin your hair? My hair is now half a length, all burned and super damaged. Funny thing is that they asked me to pay 600$. Please dont go there if you care about your hair.

What I like is that they tell you the price up front - no surprises. They treat you with the utmost respect. The massages they do are optional, but I opted in for both. The head massage was lovely. And the shoulder massage definitely got the knots out of my back! I had makeup on that day, so they asked me if I wanted a face shield so water wouldn't splash on me! So thoughtful of them. My balayage turned out fantastic - better than I expected! The process was long but they were upfront about that too. You know what you're walking into. And Yuko asked for my reference photo a few times just to make sure she was accurate. I highly recommend this place and I will be coming back!

I live in NY so I have a U.S. bank and wasn't able to pay the $20 deposit because I don't have e-Transfer, but I emailed the salon and they said it was no problem and not to worry about it. I was able to use my Visa credit card (they also take Mastercard) to pay. If you do pay the deposit, $20 is deducted from your total. The hair washing station is really relaxing, with lie-flat chairs so your neck doesn't hurt and sparkling lights on the ceiling. I'm so happy with my cut ($80 CAD before tip) and I think I got a great value for the level of service. I highly recommend Sam and this salon, his technique was so meticulous and I love my cut.

Our appointment was for 11 am but at 1030, Amanda text us that Bella was stuck on a GO Bus and wouldn't be able to start until 1130. Normally that's not a big issue, but I was dealing with really tight timelines because of nap times and attention spans, so I couldn't just burn 30 more minutes than expected. I explained this to Amanda, and she said if I could get there soon, she would cut my daughter's hair. The salon opens at 11, but Amanda started with us at 1045. The level of customer service was unreal. Friendly, accommodating, apologetic and I got what I came there for - a sophisticated haircut for my daughter that wasn't just a "who cares you're a kid" cut. The salon is beautiful inside, the sparkling lights about the hair washing station was a nice touch. At the very end, Bella did show up and she seemed nice as well, but Amanda really came through for us. We will be back!!

I got my wedding hair done here by Nathalie Saab and had a wonderful experience. I did both the…read moretrial and day-of in studio. It's inside Yorkville Village shopping centre, so very easy to get to and convenient. The space is beautiful and clean. They have complimentary water/tea/coffee and a small boutique area at the front (plus a very instagrammable swing, natch). You can also book a stylist to come to you on location for an extra fee. Nathalie was warm and detail oriented, yet easy-going. After I showed her a few photos of inspo from pinterest and of my wedding dress, she got exactly my vibe and what I had in mind and gave me some helpful feedback re: what kind of up-do would work best with my hair type. She helped me take photos during the trial so I could show my family, both with and without my veil and made sure I was happy with everything. It made getting my hair done on the morning of my wedding very relaxing, as I had no worries about whether it would turn out good or hold up during the long day. I initially had some challenges booking my bridal hair. They have an online form and you need to pay 25% to secure the booking (this is normal and often for bridal hair, you need to book several months in advance). The email communication was very slow, to the point where there were times I wasn't sure if the booking was confirmed or not, whether my payment went through etc. It was a bit stressful, as I was looking at a few different back up hair stylist options and people book up quickly. When I shared my feedback, they were very apologetic and the owner, Victoria, herself wanted to make things right and offered my a complimentary "Hollywood North" facial, which she did herself! They were really responsive and seemed to actually value the feedback, rather than getting defensive. I was really impressed with how they handled this professionally and kindly. So the facial was *amazing*! Victoria is an extremely skilled skincare expert. I'm not a regular facial goer but I have gone a few times, particularly leading up to the wedding. I had a couple not great experiences at Pure + Simple (see my other review) that kind of turned me off facials altogether. This was different, I left feeling relaxed, refreshed and my skin was smoother than it's ever been and without any redness/irritation (which sometimes happens to me, with my sensitive skin). You can read more about this specific type of facial on their website, because i can't really explain how it works... But they use this device I have never seen before to get deeper into your skin (but still non-invasively) and for my chronically dry skin it worked wonders. There were no extractions, which was fine by me because I sometimes find them really painful. Victoria sat down with me after and gave me some helpful tips, patiently answered my questions, and didn't shame me (even though I'm pretty bare bones with my skin care routine and don't know a lot of the ins and outs... like I *just* learned what dermarolling is). She also let me know about some of their products with zero pressure to buy on the spot. I hate when people give you the hard sell after a treatment. She told me about their face cream and said I could always come back later when my cream at home runs out, but I decided to buy it then because I trusted her opinion. I will definitely be back for another facial. They are a full service hair salon and they offer makeup services too. During my visits, I saw some other people there getting hair and makeup done and it looks like a great place to get glam before a big event. Their in-house products that I tried including an aloe vera based face cream and face/eye sheet masks are legit too. Finally, for wedding hair/makeup services, their rates are surprisingly reasonable. They offer a good range of prices depending on the seniority of your MUA/hair stylist so they can fit most wedding budgets. I would recommend coming here for the wedding hair/makeup needs as well as for their facials.

Now with…read morethe restrictions lifted, no way can I wait another month to schedule a haircut at my regular spots. So I went out on a whim during the Civic holiday dialled around in Chinatown to see if I can walk in for an appointment. Let's be real, there is no day off in Chinatown. Lucky me! Jane was free on the first call, and I did not need to wait or book appointments! $22 for a women's cut with cash only! What what?!?! Remember to tip! I usually pay at least double for a haircut, and can I honestly say it's double the quality of what I get from Jane? Nope. Jane took an after pic of my haircut. I only wanted a basic B hair chop with minimal layers at the end and she nailed it. Whoops forgot to take the before pic for comparison. You'll just have to imagine the girl from the Ring, that's me, hair to my waist. Jane and I had a good chat. Her native tongue is Cantonese, and she's giving me tips on how to style my hair. She mentions now with the pandemic, her client base is much more diverse. For health and safety, she is always masked and I put on a transparent disposable salon gown. I was the only person there! Likely, people didn't know she kept the store opened on Civic holiday. The place is very spacious for one person operating the whole shop. Jane explains she operates all three chairs there and switching between chairs for the next client coming in so that the chair doesn't stay warm for the next person.
