The customer service here is a rarity. Kim and Linda are always a good sign when you walk in-they move to give you immediate, efficient, personal service. They both work like it's their own business. BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DROP OFF CLOTHING. HAVE A LIST OF WHAT GOES IN AND CHECK IT WHEN YOU GET IT BACK. In the past week, had clothing stolen or lost. Our family dropped off clothing for their wash-n-fold service. Picked it up 2 days later. We received a bag full of clothing that was not ours. We returned this bag. Clothing missing was 2 weeks of clothing and valued around $2,000. We reached out to the owner multiple times in the last 5 days. He has not called us back, nor has any of his staff. We went to the police. They have told us it is a civil matter. However, they did get some information about what they were doing to find our missing laundry. They are review video. Interestingly 1st Choice Cleaners has never called asking us what exactly was missing. (we had sent in both clothes, bedsheets and towels). The police helped direct me to the main office. Where I was meet at the door but the lady only cracked it open a foot. She said the owner was busy and was aware of the situation. The owner has not called to apologize, ask about what is missing or what steps were being taken to find missing clothes. The only way we have learned anything is when the police have called 1st Choice cleaners. We are still in the process of sorting out this matter. I am posting this review because at no time has the owner reached out to sort this mess out. We are out of clothing and have no answers. Watch out for your belongs. read more

NOPE! If you have to have something laundered or dry cleaned, find a bum - give him $10 and have him take it down to the Susquehanna and beat it on a rock. You stand a better chance of getting your clothes back that way. The owner of this shady place will NEVER call you back if they 'lose' your clothing. Read all of the reviews here - most are 'hidden'. I am in the process of serving them with papers for a small claims action. They lost my husband's dress uniform (fire department) over a year ago, and after numerous phone calls to them (unreturned), and numerous visits to their store, they offered substantially less than it would cost to replace it. It's a laundromat. You can wash your clothes. And dry them. Really, I don't know what else to say except it's usually clean and has a few dozen machines. Not much room to move around inside, espcially when people are in the way. The lady who runs the dry cleaning and tailoring couldn't do a simple alteration without criticizing me and then doing a pisspoor job. read more

My machine was broken so I came here to do my laundry. Since this was the first time I used a public laundromat, I don't know how it compares to the 'standard' laundromat, but I had absolutely no issues. There are washers that range between 2$-3.50$ per cycle and dryers for 0.25$/8 min. If you're bored while you're waiting, they also have complimentary Wi-fi too. read more

I would give them '0' stars if I could. This place and the owner have horrible business practice. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS AT ALL!!! You can read reviews from tons of different websites and they are all negative. I dropped off my bridesmaid dress from the brothers wedding. They got ink all over it and totally ruined it. They tried to make me pay for the cleaning and I refused and demanded that they reimburse me for the value of the dress since they completely ruined it. I tried to contact the owner for a month and when he finally called me back he offered to pay for a percent of the value of the dress....which is totally ridiculous. Another month of trying to contact him for payment with no avail, I finally decided to take him to small claims court with the City of Oneonta. He didn't even show up to the court date; I obviously won the case. Now I am trying to collect the judgement from him and he is such a coward that he will not even respond to me. WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT USE THIS PLACE FOR ANYTHING!!! They are awful and I feel bad for the ladies working there. The owner, Craig Gelbsman, would make is employees respond to me because he is to big of a coward to admit that something was done wrong and own up to a mistake. He makes his employees do his 'dirty work' and as a business owner he should be extremely ashamed of himself. I'm disgusted. read more

They are the worst dry cleaners. I drop my dry cleaning off and its rarely ready when they tell me it will be ready. I brought a coat there to get a new zipper put on. They had it for over a month and when I went to pick it up it wasn't done. One time I stopped to pick up my dry cleaning and the girl was on the phone for over 15 minutes. I do not recommend using this dry cleaner. read more

Funny how what you drop off at these cleaners seems to "disappear". I brought in a nice very high quality down comforter to be cleaned. When I came to pick it up I was given told the tag had come off during cleaning and to come back in a few days so they could locate it and then I was told it was still being cleaned. Finally when I came back again they tried to give me a comforter that was neither the same size or brand as mine and was stained and disgusting. The manager was rude and basically implied I was trying to pull a fast one on them. After weeks of calling they finally agreed to refund money with a receipt for the comforter, but after furnishing it, did not and just stopped returning my calls. So I paid for the cleaning of a comforter I never got back and I never got my comforter back. I would say take pics of what you bring in and the tags if it is good quality. As for me, I will never return and suggest to everyone I know to save themselves the pain and go somewhere else!!! read more
