Joe got into the car, it didn't start (note: ignition problem was draining the battery, dah!). He immediately said, "Oh, you need a new battery." He never bothered to check the cells. Told me to leave it, called me later, informed me that the car was ready and the bill for the new battery and installation was $ 190.00. No "paperwork" on the battery and no warranty. WTF? Business must be bad to need to rip off a good customer. Guaranteed, that was the last money he ever will get from me.

I usually bring my car back to the dealership for inspection because it's free, but I was in a time crunch so I decided to go somewhere local. I called Mickey's first thing on Monday morning 1/21/19 asking if I could bring my 2016 Mazda 3 in for inspection. They said no problem. Brought my car in around 8:30am. I was a little frantic because I had to get to work, but they were so patient with me. My registration paperwork was hard to read because my printer ran out of ink. They needed a better copy in order to scan it. They gave me their business card and said I could just email or fax it from my job. Whew thank you. Before I left, they asked where my wheel lock was. I had no idea what this is but apparently it's a tool needed to take my wheels off. I didn't know, so they said they would look through my car to find it. I got a text while at work that they were able to locate it in my driver's side door (I must have put it there not knowing what it was). A few hours later, I got a call that my car passed inspection and that I could pick it up before they closed at 5pm or they could bring it inside if I needed to come the next day. I left work early to pick it up right before 5pm. My bill was only $55 because my car had less than 5,000 miles on it for the year. I was not expecting it to be so cheap! They also added air to all my tires and put the wheel lock in the glove compartment for safe keeping. Highly satisfied with my experience and would absolutely recommend.

Walked up to Frankford Auto And things weren't looking good They took a single moment to get under the hood I thought that I was crazy But they didn't overcharge me And the guys were so damn friendly FRIENDLY?! FRIENDLY! Admittedly, I only went here for a minor fix - an issue with the battery. BUT living just down the street, I was really impressed that the guy just walked down with me to check it out - didn't like... charge extra for a "strolling fee" basically was like "yeah, we can fix this for you tonight!" and by 7:30pm it was FIXED! on a FRIDAY NIGHT! the real value is having times after traditional "work" hours so that you don't have to take time off just to drop your car off/be stranded. Super friendly, felt really comfortable and confident in their work. 10/10!

We've lived in this neighborhood for 5 years and probably have worked with them a dozen or more times. Inspections, oil changes, brakes, etc. all fair prices. Very fair. I mention to my wife, "while I'm out, I might as well swing by Frankfort truck and auto, tell them that the "tire place," tried to sell us on front and rear brakes and rotors and see if he'll give it a peek. I wait ten minutes while he handles other customers (mind you, all along, he's updating me and apologizing for the wait, etc. PURE gentleman these guys are). He looks at my car, takes 5 minutes and says, "you could go 6-8 months on the front brakes, but your rear brakes and motors are fine." For the fact that we're having a newborn VERY soon, I'm bringing back our car this Friday to get the front brakes done. THIS WAS MY IDEA. He never sold me. Just facts.
