I wish I would have read these reviews !! SCAM SCAM CON ARTIST. I am taking our small claims application in this afternoon. Several days of we are on the way, part trouble, and now no answer. We will be reporting to better business bureau and seeking every remedy can. I wish this would fall under criminal and my husband could just handle it. Luckily I work in the law office and he works on the beat. Please do not waste your time or money *****UPDATE. How dare you try to use the lie you told us after 4 days of, wrong part, extra charges, they did not overnight, and I fell asleep! You offer up 12noon, then the I was stuck in traffic the entire day up until 840pm !! At that time we told you for the second time return our money. When you finally answered the phone after blocking us, I told you return our money. You said you were coming and once again did not show up. Your stuck in traffic was a lie and we asked for our money. I do have the text messages and recorded Callsm we will see you in court. Three days later after having to chase the guy by phone every day after missing every single window he claimed he would be in my problem is still not fixed. Guy even had the nerve to suggest that I still owed him money. Agreed to let the $75 go I'd foolishly paid him for simply putting the screws back in I'd taken out to make replacing the part easier rather than fight with him on the phone. Wish I had read the reviews before the acceptance of this contractor! This contractor is not a responsible businessman. Bill was the first contractor to respond to my service request, refrigerator p/u at HD, deliver to my home 4 miles away and install. A simple refrigerator, no ice maker, nothing electronic just a simple refrigerator. The job was to take place between 4-6pm, remember HD closes at 9. I was frantically calling at 8 worried we couldn't get this done (after I sold my old refrigerator, contents of refrigerator & freezer sitting out) when he tells me he has to call & coordinate with his friend who has a truck! I just about flipped my lid! He did not have a truck (I had to rent one to p/u the refrigerator), no dolly, he & Penny carried the refrigerator in! Bill is not responsive, reliable and the install issue has not been resolved! The doors had to be reversed, simple task took 2 hours, & the refrigerator door won't open & close properly! I paid the cost he quoted (even though I had to rent a truck too!), I just wanted & needed the job done! To resolve the door issue I called last night & he was going to come at 10am, it's now noon, he won't respond to my calls or text messages, I'M PISSED OFF, I'M DONE!!!!! I feel that I have given him an ample opportunity to follow-up and correct the issue but his lack of response prompted the poor rated review and TC to Home Advisor! I will not, I cannot recommend this appliance repair service. I feel terrible that someone's business has to take this hit but Bill, please work on being more responsive & responsible! read more

I set an appointment online for 12-2, he pushed it to 2-4, the 5-6 and then 6-7 and never showed up. Don't bother, the outfit is not reliable. read more

SCAM, SCAM, SCAM!!!!! DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES HIRE THIS COMPANY!!!!! They were hired through my Choice Home Warrenty, (I did not seek them out) and when I spoke with the customer service representative of Choice after a month of trying to get him out to complete the repair they told me they were currently in the process of terminating first choice appliance as a vendor for multiple complaints. This was my experience with Bill: My claim was accepted by first choice appliances and the appt was scheduled for a few days later. The next day he called about 8pm said he was in the area and knew it was late but wanted to see if it was OK to come by he said he would be there w/in the hour, I wanted my dishwasher fixed asap and thought it was great that he was able to get me in earlier then my appt so I agreed, then this is where things started to slide down hill. He finally showed up at 1130 at night. He seemed friendly enough when arrived. While diagnosing the issue he gave me this sob story about how covid had affected his business and how someone totalled his work van and is now working out of his 90's civic because they didn't have insurance and now he has to work all these hours just to get by and to get a new van. After he diagnosed the issue, and said he thought he had the part at the shop and he would be back tomorrow afternoon to complete it. I used PTO to be home, no call, no text, I had called a few times and finally he answered late in the evening and said he didn't have the part and needed to order it, he said it will be in in 3 days. A week went by no contact, I called him again said the part didn't come in yet. Another week went by, finally got ahold of him, said the part still isn't in yet. Another week went by, left several messages then finally got ahold of him, he said he was sure the part came in but he would have to call me back in 20 mins when he gets home, 3 days went by and his phone went straight to VM. His phone has been off for the last week and a half, so finally Choice Warrenty switched me contractors, so hopefully after over a month my dishwasher will finally be fixed. RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN FROM BILL AND FIRST CHOICE APPLIANCE REPAIR COMPANY, HE JUST WANTS TO TAKE YOUR MONEY AND DISAPPEAR. HE HAS NOT DONE ANYTHING TO MAKE ME THINK OTHERWISE..... read more

SCAM!!! He came in to get a quote and asked for $120 after the supposed consultation. He said it was "service call fee." This was never discussed prior to him coming. Also he had a woman in his car that basically cursed us out and threatened to call polic. Totally unprofessional people. NEVER NEVER EVER HIRE THEM. read more

Successfully sued Penny Haynes who Billy Duncan identified as the "owner" of First Choice Appliance Repair in Warren County Small Claims Court. The judgment against Ms. Haynes requires her to refund my money, pay court costs and pay for a collection agency if necessary. Good luck to everyone who has fallen victim to these people. read more

Do not use them. It is a scam . Out $120 never showed up and was taking 1 month to repair a dishwasher. No it was 2 days shy of 1 month. You were never going to show up and you never answered any of my calls on Friday. Gave up at 8 pm. Called a legitimate company this morning. It will be fixed in 2 days!!! read more

This company and their Scam Artist Owners William (Bill) Duncan & Penny Haynes are true Con Men Top Grade!!! They got my wife for $250 on Saturday, July 31st! Told her they could get the parts and be back on Monday to fix. Finally after waiting for nearly 2 weeks, Billy Boy showed up on August 11th at 10:00PM to supposedly put in new part. Didn't do anything but vacuum the back end. And I was the Idiot for giving him another $250! Called on the 12th to tell nothing was working. Said he would show late that night, but then after promising me he would come to me first the next morning, I agree. After several calls throughout the day, he did arrive for the final time at 6:00PM. I was then told he never put in correct part. Said he would get and be back the next day. Had REAL Repairman look at and diagnose the actual problem in 5 minutes. The stopped returning calls and told me it takes them 10 days to return the cash I paid! Never have seen it! As you read these other reviews, I have had several others tell me on FaceBook how they were took by these Scammers!!! Please DON'T FALL VICTIM TO THEM!!! read more
