You never know what face, is going to stare back at you. As I stated, this place is MAGIC
J.H. L.

This place, is MAGIC. From the very first step inside, to the greetings of the others who work here, it is truly a special place. Very grateful for the laid back setting and openness of this establishment for ones in the arts. Traveling I have been and when one finds that special place, in another location, it's nice to share it with others. To freely have a place to either draw or write, is very refreshing. Thank you to everyone who works there and so far, the best Americano I have had. A home, away from home. I can confidently say.

Came here for a quick coffee based on reviews. 3/5 Butteroo Beer - I was captivated by the name and ordered this. It definitely is no way close to the one you get at Universal Studios. 3/5 Great Notion - This drink was average as well. The place to sit around is great and like the varied options but I think the final delivery of the coffee could be better. I would say give it a try with the other options available and see if you like it.

Baked goods (cinnamon bun, coffee cakes, muffins)

I highly recommend the Moby Dick latte and the Wilburita breakfast sandwich! All the baked goods look amazing! Very friendly staff. Seemed like the locals hung out there so it's a hotspot! Cool art to look at or purchase! Big space with lots of seating. Highly recommend! They also have ice cream.

Mocha almond fudge and huckleberry cheesecake with the cutest barista

Ollie, Ocean, and Evan give the best service in town! If you need a sweet treat, def try the no chia almond fudge on top of the huckleberry cheesecake

Sugar free raspberry frozen lemonade and chocolate chip cookie
Sarah F.

Fun little stop on our road trip -- we stopped for hand crafted frozen slushies and an oversized chocolate chip cookie. My husband ordered one of the frozen teas and really liked it. I got a frozen lemonade. The flavor was good, but I quickly encountered the slushie problem of having too much ice and not enough liquid. The chocolate chip cookie was great. Staff were super friendly. Ambience was fun and quirky, with lots of local art for sale.

I was hoping this place would be better than it was. They won't let you get tater tots with…read morebreakfast only lunch items but you can order lunch at anytime, so I had to switch and order lunch. Plus, they won't scramble the omelettes, but you can get scrambled eggs, which makes no sense. Ridiculous! I mean, come on! It was ok. Server was OK.

Immediately after sitting down, I felt like we had done something wrong. Our waitress seemed…read moreirritated with us from the start, and mind you all we had done was sit at the table she instructed us to sit at. For context, I've been a waitress on the coast for nearly 10 years, so I'm usually very mindful of not making a server's job harder, but this felt different. When we ordered, she came across as genuinely annoyed. Did she check on things like coffee? Yes, but with a look of annoyance that made the whole interaction uncomfortable. The food itself was mediocre at best. The gravy was meh, though the chicken fried steak was decent. The "hash browns," however, were not traditional hash browns, they were more like oven roasted potatoes smashed on the grill, which was disappointing if you're expecting the classic version. The pricing was another surprise. I work at a higher end restaurant, and their brunch prices are comparable to what we paid here, which says a lot, considering this is supposed to be a basic diner experience. When our food was dropped off, we were told the toast would be "just a minute." No problem, but when it finally arrived, it was completely cold, with unmelted "butter" that had little to no flavor. And as someone who grew up eating margarine and then transitioning to butter, I knew that this was margarine. My boyfriend who has never had margarine didn't understand why his butter didn't "taste like anything". Also worth noting, my partner ordered a side of sausage links, four small links for $9, yup your read that right, $9 dollars for a side of sausage. Overall, the service felt hostile with a fake mask, the food was mediocre, and the pricing didn't match the experience. As a person who was raised here on the coast and thought to "experience double d's diner again" since it has been a few years, I won't be returning.

The Old Agness Store is the perfect lunch pit stop if, like me, you are…read morecraving something different from the routine eggs/fish sandwich/chowder/burger options along the Oregon coast. I was relieved to find that not only are there wholesome homemade soups on offer but the sandwiches are made with homemade and unboring ingredients like house-baked bread, dilly tuna salad, chanterelles and their own cranberry sauce. I ordered the veggie sandwich, and a cup of the daily soup: veggie stew with chanterelles. Both were brimming with fresh vegetables, and they did not skimp on those freshly foraged mushrooms. Service was so friendly and welcoming. Our sandwiches took a bit longer than the time it takes to stand in line at a Subway. And that is for good reason; the owners were lovingly putting the finishing touches on our lunches as if we were visiting house guests. Definitely stop at the OAS if you're passing through or staying nearby.

Nothing interesting or groundbreaking about these boards for the prices in my opinion. Everything seemed liked basic grocery store items and I make more artisanal and elevated boards just at home. Service was subpar. Table of 2 & they asked for my ID to seat us at the bar -- we didn't plan to sit there but that's what seemed available to them. was there at a very slow point of the day. The place itself is small and not very spacious. Overall my first experience at this could have been way better and I did expect more. I also visited the store that is interconnected -- bought a few items including a coconut blondie. The blondie was delicious but service in the store was just the same as the restaurant.
